Usually a picture frame breaks when it fell but they showed it in that episode that even if the portrait fell it's still intact, I perceived it like no matter how hard the challenges that they may encounter in the future, their family will stay together.

Anya's experiences have made her more mature for a child her age. And the mind reading helps with faking part of her intelligence. Not that she isn't, she's actually pretty crafty. And she's actually pretty amazing considering she is in the best school in the country while having little formal schooling prior (from what we can tell).

I love how Anya's "we eat operas" could be interpreted as a cute mistake but could also be interpreted as "we eat opera cakes" which are expensive. If interpreted that way, the family appeared wealthy enough to eat it every weekend.
That is what I thought as well! It was such a perfect mistake.

Dude, the fact that Yor and Loid were okay with being made fun of themselves, but when some fat-ass no-namer says some horseshit to make Anya cry, holy shit that maternal instinct kicked in. I feel like much of this is because despite the fact that their group is established upon a bunch of deception and lies, all three (Anya, genuinely desired for something of comfort, something that feels normal and not continually pertaining their occupations and true identity: a normal, loving family.

The thing that scares me the most about the Forgers is the fact that they're a family. Anya will one day GROW UP... And you can't seriously tell me that she won't learn a LOT of her parents skills while doing so.

The adaptation of these chapters from the manga have been absolutely fantastic, its great to watch these 3 chaotic characters who never had real families grow together and fill in the spots that the other lacks

It’s actually sad that there’s admissions teams with people like the guy who got punched who enjoy crushing people’s dreams.
They're usually a bit more subtle about it. Swan here didn't even try to hide his bitterness.
Education is one of the areas that statistically attracts a ton of people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder - not as prevalent as healthcare jobs but still pretty bad. Power trips aren’t part of job to folks like them, but the sole reason why they pick such positions.

First of all, Anya is adorable. I didn’t know going into this anime that none of them knew what the other did for a living so that makes it much more interesting. The funniest line…. he is a spy…. spychiatrist. 😂
Since you're enjoying the anime, you should rad the manga. It's ongoing and is just as fun and funny.
What I love about this episode is how it shows despite being unconventional the forgers are more family then the quote "real families" around them, during the various trials such as the boy stuck in the swear his family didn't help him, or the boy almost trampled to death, his father left him but loid saved him, and the jerk headmaster his family has fallen apart that's why he's so bitter, yet the forgers the "fake" family truly show their elegance by having the ability to care for one another, loid accepts his mission might fail but doesn't once blame anya or yor nor is he abusive towards them, and what ties this all together is when the picture frame falls and the glass doesn't shatter, normally in anime this woukd be a bad omen of things to come that their relationship isn't strong enough, but if didn't break, yes it fell and like all families there are ups and downs but the key is that despite its fall it didn't break meaning it can be picked up and put back on high, even if the forgers fall they can help pick one another back up because they won't leave of abandon one another
Well the kid stuck in the sewer was planted there on purpose by the school(he said it was for merit points, which I'm sure will be brought up soon). The kid that was about to be trampled was definitely unlucky though. Like I get trying to save yourself, but pick up your kids first, people. The parents can probably get away with a hospitalization, the children would be lucky to survive
I gotta admit. It's been a while since I've seen such a wholesome anime. They may be "lying" about how long they've been a family, but they genuinely love each other. This is definitely one of my favorite anime of Spring.
This man committed an unforgivable anime sin when he made Anya cry. He's right there next to the kid that bullied himawari.

Growth of her abilities wouldn’t be too unusual. She’s young, and there’s no telling where her abilities might stop. I’m really hoping that Loid will eventually cotton onto her abilities so that he can set up a regimen for her that she’ll both enjoy and eventually master her power.
After seeing him punch Swan in the face, I already see Henry Henderson as my new favorite character in this anime. 😎👍🏾
