the planner build link doesnt have the build he went over in the video. the boss killer builds are showing CotA instead of challenging shout. HotA (Pit Mat Farm) build seems closest based on skills selected but the affixes on gear dont line up
Thanks for the great build! But D4builds has terribel performance on the site to make it almost not usable for me? Is there something wrong with the site?
The build is nice, but not every player will like the same gear, most players will not be able to do this build, this also applies to others, you like one thing, I like another
Thank you Rob for this build; really made this season super enjoyable for me. The synergy is INSANE. I'm very new to Barb and leveled using your Upheaval build, and switched to this build once I hit WT4. I had a few challenges meeting some of the gear requirements and the following tips in the video really helped me out, I hope the additional timestamps can help others just starting out: 03:46 - How to use HoTA synergy in HOTA version 28:13 - Same synergy with Iron Skin version, procs 'Decimator' node in Paragon 07:39 - Add more Elemental Res using Paragon if needed, 2 more nodes for 3% more 12:38 - Challenging Shout and why it makes sense to use "Crowd Control Duration" tempers 14:46 - How to hit Armor Cap w/ Paragon changes: ~300 extra armor 30:56 - Thorns/Bleed DR Synergy Explanation 32:00 - Movement Speed vs Crit Chance skill points (very helpful early end game) *Additional Note: Progression Breakpoints that made the STARTER build smoother for me by greatly increasing my damage: 1. Legendary Bash Cleave Temper Recipe (farm Blood Maiden boss in WT4 Helltide) 2. Any Ancestral Pants with +Bash levels 3. Ancestral Paingorger's Gauntlets (Paingorger's Gauntlets can be farmed from 'The Beast in the Ice' maxroll.gg/d4/resources/boss-loot-table-cheat-sheet#the-beast-in-the-ice-header). Use + Attack Speed gloves until point. 4. Work on getting Crit Chance up to 50% Thanks again!
Thanks Rob for taking the time to go through the thinking on the build, it really helps in understanding choices so we can adjust per our gear. This is an incredibly fun build.
Thanks for the build Rob, I am currently using your bash boss killer uber build and that helped me do all the torment uber bosses and solo lilith without too many issues considering I never quite learnt her mechanics. Is not min/maxed, probably somewhere in the middle mostly 4/12 gear but even then it was enough to 1 phase lilith, after finishing her off I went back to do torment duriel and it went down so fast that I thought I was doing normal duriel, tomorrow I will change the build to the HoTA pit mat farm version since my gear is pretty much an exact copy of yours, the only different most of them only have 1 special perk and that one of my rings has resistance to all elements as a attribute instead of strength, to help me reach the cap Your build was performing as described, you dont even need masterworked gear to start seeing hi dmg crit swings from the very beginning, other builds like necro billion hit require a lot more work, investment, coordination, this one is just straight forward and very effective. PS: Just to add, I am now on heartseeker rogue, before I switched I was farming Pit 100s with this build, didnt bother pushing higher, having so much life helps a lot with some bosses like the sharpshooter that has so many 1 shot mechanics, I moved to rogue because I had nothing else to do on the barb
Hi Rob I finished the build just yesterday with the gear, skill tree and paragon after having fun with ww dd but I wasn't doing any damage anymore I switched to this build you presented, it's crazy!! for me and second only to the season 2 overpower hota you showed in October. I work a lot and have little time to test builds, you're always 🔝🔝🔝keep it up Thanks 👍
About the Chinese bleed build, I agree it only hit the radar (in it’s current state) because of the bugged holy bolt interaction. I love bleed builds myself, and the base of it is solid even without holy bolts. But it’s not a finished build, there’s lots of stuff in there that doesn’t work with berserk ripping at all. This is someone who had berserk ripping on his bash barb, found a grandfather, switched to gushing wounds cause of the obvious synergy between gf and crit, noticed he did a lot of bleed, and moved berserk ripping to his twohander. You can try the same concept with other builds that work well with berserk ripping (dust devils, thorns,…. Even the earthquakes, brawler explosions and kick damage on a leap/kick build, whirlwind with ancestral echoes,…). Berserk ripping is fed by any base direct damage so it’s mostly a numbers game. Then there’s gushing wound overpower blood explosions you can add, and a whole extra layer of bleed to direct damage stuff with Skullbreaker to add a third layer of scaling. That base concept is obviously a viable way to scale bleeds on a barb, even without holy bolts. As an alternative temper to the rogue crit damage thing, lucky hit physical damage procs are a decent alternative, each proc adding an extra berserk ripping bleed. Even once they fix the holy bolt elixir, the pit push meta will probably be grandfather + gushing wounds. On direct damage crits there’s a cap to the crit bucket, gushing wounds circumvents this cap.
@@iSirTakiwhat level should I be looking at moving to bash? I’m level 71 now and pretty much got all the aspects for bash. Some gear 925 and lowest is about 860 item level
Rob, thank you for the in depth guide and all your content! I started the season with minion necro and reached the high 70-s of the pit, but it just doesn't feel right. Yesterday I tried your iron skin bash barb for couple of hours, levelled to 60 and it feels really good. Indeed it can survie throgh anything with no gear.
Thank you so much! I'm new to the game, I played on a necromancer, I didn't have enough vitality, I played on a sorceress, I didn't have enough damage through frozen orbs, I already thought something was wrong. I collected your build and on 92 characters without improving equipment and several things did not go in with tempering, I ran through my 66 pit, where I usually farm on a sorceress and quite often die 3 times faster, without even noticing enemies, died 1 time on a large number of bursts of corpses and 1 time on the boss, when I decided to tank the whole face his damage. I decided to go straight through HotA, without the iron skin. My not at all sharpened barb runs to the LKM (Bash) and just kills everything at a glance....
About Grandfather: Your crit chance is the big determining factor about this item. Crit Damage, like damage to close, damage while zerking, and bash cleaving damage, is added into your ADDITIVE bucket, but ONLY when you crit. So if you crit 60% of the time you are going getting this additive damage 60% of the time, compared to the others which are close to 100% if you are playing correctly. Because of this, Crit damage is better than those stats as long as you pass certain breaking points of crit rate. This is because the Grandfather unique effect DOUBLES crit damage values(so if the tooltip says +85% crit damage, it is actually +170% crit damage if you have grandfather equipped. When you take into account the ranges you can temper onto gear his means that for overall damage output you are better rolling Crit damage onto an item than Damage to close if you have greater than 50% crit chance. Roughly speaking any additive damage bonus is 1:1 equivalent to crit damage at 50% crit rate. So if the range for crit damage temper(62.5%-85%) is the same as the temper for damage to close(which it is) you only need 50% crit chance for them to be equal value, and any higher than 50% means that crit damage is BETTER. If the value of the stat is higher range(like bash cleaving which is 82.5-105%) then you need more crit chance to make them equal(62% crit rate in this case). If the range is lower, like damage while berserking(41.5-55%) then you need less crit(only 32% in this case). So then the question becomes, when does the value of Grandfather's 2x multiplier overtake the value 2 ideal role temper stats that you could have had on a legendary weapon. That answer is more complicated because your preexisting +crit damage and your crit chance are both variables, but in short form, grandfather is instantly better when(crit chance X crit damage X 2) >190 WITHOUT you tempering on any crit damage. So if you have 60% crit you would need +158% crit damage. TLDR the greater your crit chance, the more likely you need to switch to grandfather and roll all your other temper rolls into crit damage.(Note: you should always have at least 1 temper of bash cleaving for the cleave)
This build has so much potential, but the Leapquake version, as listed on Maxroll, can’t be played on the PS5 for two reasons: 1) jump is bugged as if you hold in a direction then leap, you end up across the map, and 2) you can’t use a mouse/keyboard with D4 on PS5. I’m glad to find your versions, Rob! I might be able to keep playing my bash barb
@@RestService996 I think finding 2GA is often enough but the hard part is to get them on the affixes you need. I only find a small handful of 3GA though, but the only one I kept without rerolling affixes was the bricked amulet.
Levelled up with Double Swing and Dust Devils and enjoyed it, but hit a wall on boss DPS at higher pit levels. Switched to this bash build and after getting all the correct tempers, I can now easily farm pit 100. An amazing difference, thank you
Anyone run into a problem where when you bash after steel grasp your bash is delayed? Sometimes i can bash right away and sometimes its feels like two second before bash animation
You know what's funny it only happens with two-handed weapons I switched my build around to dual wield and it's night and day. Yeah I lose a tad bit of damage
So i’ve been trying to build this for my self, bricking a GG 3xGA Sword in the process, now im currently speedfarming 90 pits - I did one change to make this happen! This had been crucial for me actually, i switched out Edgemaster for Accelerating, now when i hit my bash stacks and toggle my HOTA i immediately melt everything in my vicinity. Bosses are a walk in the park aswell where as with Edgemaster i had slower boss kills.
OMG I went with this one changed a bit from the first ones May 13th I think and it OWNS everything it looks at with the hammer/sword :) Good Job Rob :)
So u hide behind ur minions....barbs do more than bash. Each shout procs either berserk or fort or dmg reduction...but we barbs dive into the fray...we dont hide behind abuncha minions 😂😘
@@keneagle4737 I actually had to stop playing minions and moved to barb (this seems to happen every season) because I was tired of hiding with my necro behind walls while my minions were doing their bit to avoid getting one shot, after reaching Pit 74 pretty much anything was one shotting me and bosses were just a nightmare, constantly running around, so stressful. I had to be on constant alert to survive, this guy just jumps in and punches things, not a bother.
honestly this is by far, like by a mile, the best build video I've ever seen. It answered all my in depth questions. Especially loved the bit where rob explained the different paragon routes available to you. This is simply amazing unmatched quality, keep up the work.
Disagree about Ramaladni's - stacking fury is pretty simple and we don't need another Offensive aspect for Orange Sword. I did 118+ PIT with No elixir (You can check my channel if interested to see both Build or High Pit Runs) and will push Leaderboard even further staying on top of the most Not Dual Wielding Barbs while I don't even have a full masterwork up. I have also compared Ramaladni's Version against normal one and they are pretty close with best rolled Dual Wield one getting ahead. Cheers!
@@guccigang9881 Well, I've been #4 Bash and will repush with Bash in the next two days - check the board more often to see how far I will go with it considering there is only about 6 people on top of me.
@@Rob2628 Hi Rob, thanks for commenting, the problem that arose is that before the game's scaling was nm100, and almost all the builds were viable in some way to complete them. now the scaling went up to pit 110-130 and uber duriel-andy, but only few builds scale for it. I'm trying my chain lightning, almost lvl 100, I can handle normal duriel, but for pit I suck, and then for uber duriel-andy I don't think I'll be able to achieve it no matter how much I invest in it... Let's hope that that possible patch you mention solves this, since they improved the game without improving the builds to pass it on to you
Yeah same sucks the unique gloves for ds don’t really help it either. I’ve been having a lot of fun with ds dust devil but even with decent rolls around pit 60 I’m starting to have a little bit of trouble. I’m probably gonna reroll bash to try it out
I love this build, and Diablo IV loves me for playing it. Just I was getting to Level 100 today, the game dropped me a pair of 4GA Paingorger's Gauntlets!
I'm in the same boat, starting with thorns easily got me to WT3 in my 40s; but the issue I've noticed is that certain enemies and bosses like Iron Maiden are giving me issues seeing as they don't attack me directly to proc the bleed from thorns. I'm giving serious consideration to switching to Bash because of this.
If you’re into pushing high pit I think thorns is the best but it requires an alt rouge to roll gear for your barb lol I think bash is the better all around build your damage potential is probably a little lower but it can do Uber bosses and pit 110-125 if you min-max your gear
@@HotcuppaJoe88@HotcuppaJoe88 I switched to bash and it's so slow for me. Also the pit is not as easy as it can seem without optimal stats on all the items. Don't get me wrong it's probably still the best for the pit but sucks with other stuff with how it plays imo. Might just suck it up and go back to my necro though minions isn't exactly engaging either lol.
I haven’t yet managed to find a Shako, but I got an Andariel’s Visage from Tormented Duriel. It’s actually really strong for this build thanks to our very fast attack speed and it also means you don’t have to worry about capping poison resistance which means it frees up a roll on another item for more strength or life. The poison DoT ticks for crazy damage and bosses simply melt. A well-rolled Tuskhelm of Joritz also goes very well for this Bash build, giving a tangible DPS boost.
Heh... I use that boss killer bash build that was supposed to do 500m and have what I think is "pretty good" gear yet it only does 1.4-14m at lvl 100 with paragon complete. The barb builds this season apparently need such hyper specific flawless gear that it's near impossible for anyone not willing to grind for eons - and not just the gear that needs like perfect +3 stat rolls but the tempers need to be perfect too or it's bricked - which is what happens to 99% of perfect gear. I previously used the Maxroll bash thorns which did like 500k-3m with 500k thorns, swapped to DoNotHitMe's leap quake thorns which did, and I shit you not, 15k damage. Thousand. Not even million. Certainly not billion. Then another person's bash kick build which did like 2.4-3m or so, then back to the boss killer one. As a result it's clear that an uber killing barb is just beyond my reach this season. Also HOTA is pretty annoying to bash 4 stacks then HOTA while also trying to dodge boss mechanics. And I'm way too poor to even afford to reset masterworking on items at 5m a pop, can barely even afford the masterworking at all.
Yes you need good gear. At least upgraded. Bash itself is fine as long as you find the cleave temper then level up your gear to get better damage. Just taking my gear from level 1 to level 4 made my bash go up from 10-15million to 40nillion
Tempering and masterworking is where 99% of your power comes from, I feel like that’s generally been explained to us pretty clearly. You don’t need perfect rolls but you do need good rolls especially for Uber bosses I also learned that the hard way
Idk what you’re doing wrong but it’s def something. I have no maxed glyphs, 1 socketed glyph, 2 sockets on my entire gear, I’m lvl 75 and I’m consistently hitting 7m+
Also you’re saying you’re too poor to afford 5mil idk what you’re doing or how long you play but dude, if you spend 1 hour at the accursed ritual in helltide and sell all yellows/legendaries you don’t need, in that 1 hour you will absolutely get ATLEAST a minimum of like 20-30 mil gold
Thanks Rob from Rob 👍😉 Started Necro this season. (Solo) Going Barb now, so much fun a barb. The game has evolved in a good way. Love the new loot. Keep up the good work! CU on stream ⚔️
He won’t respond to anyone. He wants to play video games nd make videos but not talk to the people who keep him payed and sitting on his butt doing nothing.
In your planner you have damage to close enemies on both two-handed weapons and on the one-handed weapons the damage while berserking, this contradicts what you say in the video. Is that a mistake in the planner or am I missunderstanding something here?
Hallo Rob, Ich wollte einfach mal danke sagen.
Poor HOTA, how the mighty have fallen. Now its only purpose is to buff the main damage skill which is a basic attack. We should be building around core attacks, not basic attack 😢 I hope blizzard buff cores
I think having variety in builds is good. It’s good having builds that are core skills like WW and double swing and then it’s good to have builds that aren’t core skills like bash, charge, leapquake, etc. it makes the game more fun and diverse imo and it also lets other aspects and uniques get the spotlight like paingorgers which in previous seasons probably wouldn’t have been that good had it not been for bash.
The base attack is "bugged". You see on sceen 100%+ dmg, additive dmg buff, but ingame you get 100%x dmg, multiplicative dmg buff on bash. So Bash outscales simply everything, with his 1000%x on cleave bonus, you can temper on your 4 weapons.
@@aqvamarek5316it’s not I’ve seen ppl say the the bash we are currently using is already the nerf before the update or some shit regardless it doesn’t matter this game is no d2
PSA - the stun with steel grasp temper is SUPER important to have at least one of. Otherwise you are in a lot of danger when you pull the mobs in. They will finish their swing and just shotgun you on arrival if you don’t reliably incapacitate them with stun or freeze. You need ONE temper. Rob has it on his pants in the entry level planner, but not in the video guide here. It’s a barbarian strategy (utility) temper. I kept checking my resistances, aspects, life total, DR sources, to figure out why I was getting fucked up so hard in early Pits with the entry level bash build with iron skin, and this was why! Rob drops this temper at some point when toughness is much less of a concern for Pit push and DPS is more of the factor you need to finish those tanky ass bosses. He also tends to have 1-2 points in concussion and very high attack speed in the later versions of the build, so he’s stunning pretty reliably in the first moments of engagements just from that I think. But yeah it’s super helpful for the initial build.
Thank you Rob. I couldnt figure out why everyone loved bash. Turns out after using the maxroll build for necro and barb yours are far superior, even without the holy bolts elixir or ideal aspects imprinted.. its refreshing to see a streamer putting out a guide that isnt pure click bait. Both your necro and barb builds are the best and most fun ive tried
@@JakeJamo Glyphs 21 and the two last boards + masterworking GA Life/life + imposing presence rolls + first health potion 20% + 2nd potion ( quest potion ) 15% so 35% more 😉 I got 65k health actually and with 2 potions both got 93k without all my royal rubies
Yeah I’m practically double greater affixed with 8/8 masterworking on all gear perfectly matching D4builds. And my numbers aren’t even close to his. I sit with 40k health buffed and like 60k power. Seems odd
Att power doesn't mean a shit. Dmg% it's not multiplicative, it's aditive. So offcourse it's better to get 120% dmg to close aditive, than regular 60% dmg. Check you aspects. I was ruining a 2 days with wrong accepts after I switched my weapons. I spend something like 700 mil on my barbarian. And now I can finally hit over 100 mil. But still my gear is not even 50% optimised. And will never be. Need infinitive amount of gold...
@@nenadpetrovic8746Thanks big dawg! I’m going to fix my build tonight thanks to your input. I have dmg% on several things and wondered why my attack power was so high but damage was so low.
I suffered all season with my double swing build. Had a great time but it's basically just playing on hard mode against bosses. Still cleared pit 116 and soloed every Uber boss. Switching to this to end the season haha
Have a coffee on me. Thanks for the build. Easily cleared Pit 65 without any masterwork or dying. Might not sound impressive, but good progress for the over 70 crowd 👵🏻
Hey! Nice to hear of your progress. If you want to push higher, I recommend the Bleed Version with Grandfather or maybe switch HotA in for Iron Skin if you are tanky enough! HotA will help with the Boss Damage.
Wow what an amazing f video. Thank you a lot for explaining all the stuff behind the build. Looking forward for more stuff like this, maybe breakdown of thorns barb and all the variants on that one? Anyways, cheers! and best regards :D
I have to say this is the most stupidestly OP build I've ever played in D4. I'm in wt3 and am level 52 and I'm one tapping everything in helltide with profane mindcage. I know its only wt3 but sheesh this is insanity. I haven't had an experience like this with any build. Pretty sure it trumps HOTA in it's prime because you're using a basic skill so not having to have fury management or resource gen just lets you focus so many damage stats and other aspects that synergize so well.
Man I got lucky and dropped the rare Bash temper (Furious Augments) at like level 30. I was able to toss moonrise, adaptability, and rapid on my jewelry and level at lighting speed
Hi Rob when watching your bash barb video i noted you said about having 2 potions active but must have missed where you said about how to do it so i google it and found out thanks for that bit of info and for the video as it helped with my research into which way i want to go with my barb 😀 After watching it i went back to finishing leveling glyphs and gathering up gear, I have up buffs wise the holy bolts potion and chorus of war essence. i noticed the chorus had nearly dropped so stopped to refresh it however i hit storm of the wilds by mistake, i then noticed that i had 2 icons for essences I know this can happen when you have been near other players, but i was pretty suree i had not been so waited till essences ran out completely then went to a NMD and hit chorus then storm and lo and behold the were both up and working as advertised. did a little playing about but it seems to be that it has to be chorus with other essence whether this is a bug or not i dont know but thought i would let you know 😀
Im currently running double swing devils, but stuck at 68 pits. In process of switching to Bash, just not sure if I should do iron skin starter or hota? Still haven’t beaten Lilith, nor torrent bosses solo so the boss build peaks my interest but I also feel like im starting over with masterworking on a new bash build. All that said, there is a different in tempers between iron skin and hota versions so not sure which to start off with? Is the boss hota setup only good for bosses or does it also do well in pits? I have limited gear to make the switch but need to go with one or the other. I don’t have any Uber uniques so trying to get to that point. For example, you are tempering challenging shout on helmet inside boss killer no Uber yet you aren’t using challenging shout on the build? Why is that?
awesome guide mate! I started playing D4 with season 4 launch and barb was my first character. managed to beat uber lilith today for the first couple times. I followed every step of the build and love it! Your content is amazing in general! Just one question that came to my mind: What weapon expertise do you assign? I could not really find info on that anywhere? Two-Handed Sword Expertise would be my guess? Cheers!
No idea what I am doing wrong, but my bash is only hitting for 2-4mio. Have set up all paragon and skills accordingly using the starter pit iron skin variant. i got the bash tampering on all weapons as well, as all aspects, no idea why i hot for so low numbers only.
Fun build to play! Speed farming pit 80’s, NM dungeon 100’s and all tormented bosses and this barb is only level 80, haha! I already have two level 100 barbs and a 100 Necro this season. Since the idiot devs won’t implement an armory to swap builds, I have to make multiple characters just to play different builds smh.
I'd like to see the new builds every season added to the last... I jumped in season 3 the last 2 weeks and loved the Charge Barb build. Blizz should make every build work on roughly the same level "balanced." Next we need the WW Dust Devil build.
@rob2628 Is Heart of Selig an option to use with this build? The only uber unique i got...And i dont seem to get the damage you get .Same setup but only 35% Crit chance is that the issue? I maybe hit like 40 mil sometimes most around 12-15 mil so really struggling on 100 pit. Any advice would be great. Fantastic channnel! 👑💪
Is this the best Barb build for late game? I'm currently lvl 82 dust devil, just pushing through nightmares to test how well it goes.. Should I switch to this?
You should do it! Went for a second barb char(first one on bash also with decent gear that can claer 100 pit without problems) for a unique spark, and on lvl 50 i guess, i simply easily can clear t4 helltides, just 1-2 shoting every elites. Only have some problems with resists and u can easily die on it. But anyway, lvl 50 fucking rolling t4 helltides.
Thanks Rob...for the boss killer no uber...cause I dont have Shako yet, so should we replace HoTa with rupture to increase attack speed for bash instead....I notice my hota dmg isnt high at all. Thank you
In case there are any other Barb noobs confused why "Iron Skin" is often not available: it uses a percentage of your missing missing health to make a barrier so you have to have taken damage before you can use it
I dont understand how you have double my HP and attack power when we have the same build and paragon, I mean, does maxing masterwork really buff that much the stats?
Dude for real! How does he have so much hp?? I have a very similar build to him and I'm not hitting for consistently 70m-200m damage. Even when I do a 100m crit, bosses are not going down that quickly. Not sure what's going on here
@@chandler3621 same I hit for 30m to 40m, when I hit more then 100m is when I crit and overpower at same time which doesn't happen often. But my gear is not fully masterworked, still need a lot of work,.but I don't see myself doing all that he does
@ManBruno2 yeah I get 100m very rarely. I guess I need to masterwork my gear to 12 and see where I'm at. I'm worried I will still be tickling bosses even with 12/12 mastered gear
Thanks Rob! I understand how important Pain Gorgers is. This might be a silly question but in case someone hasn't been fortunate enough to get them YET, the first question is can you still run this? If so, the second question is what other Aspect can you use or would be beneficial? Obviously, you would slot Pain Gorgers in the second you get them. Does Pain Gorgers make or break this build? Thanks again Rob! Love all the videos! Keep up the great work! :)
@@Rob2628 Thanks again so much Rob! Berserk Ripping definitely makes sense! I have heard a few other content creators say Pain Gorgers are a stop gap and this build should only be run when you have them. Have been having a blast playing Double Swing Dust Devils. I finally got the Fierce Winds Aspect. It was the only Aspect i was missing to really compliment and flesh out the build 😝 I was fortunate to get Pain Gorgers in season 2 and have gotten great uniques so far so hopefully Pain Gorgers will drop soon 👍 Thanks again Rob!
Hi Rob, I saw you added a Tyreals Might version of the build on d4builds. Whats your stance on the uber unique on this build? Is it better with or without? Hope hearing from you, thanks in advance
the dmg of tyraels is really low, not worth it. but it has nice defensive stats so if you want to play defensive its quite good. thats my take on it xD
The undying aspect on chest is a massiveeeee buff. The 10% DR on tyreals is no way near as good as undying, I was using it and switched to undying and it's so much nicer
@@Rob2628i will give this build tomorrow a try, if its not possible to use these builds on console, i quite te game. Blizzard or orb sorc didnt work, barb dust devil dont work.
so berserk ripping is only good with holy bolts and bleed setup or is that a good aspect anyway? would be an easy way to bleed enemies without them hitting you
I played as ww until 83 when I finally got deviiilist..WW throws more devils but bash puts them right in front of you. In buildings and confined tunnels ww might be better(devils bounce) but overall bash just wins. my problem with ww is a little short on fury some times but you won't be slowed down I went from about 55 to 83 and stomped everything.ww ALWAYS procs devils, bash at start will take 3 or 4 hits to proc. Need to ask moxsy why. I have enough fury regen now I am 1 or 2 hits to proc but every once in a while the dreded 4 hit will show up.
I'm really loving this build, thank you :) But trying to get all the gear did make me start to loathe one aspect of the new loot system, the affix weighting... Just about everything that drops has main stat and max life, then there are a bunch of aspects that is slightly less prevalent but still happens a lot, and a group that you almost never ever see. I had ONE piece of equipment in my stash (that is pretty full) with CDR. I don't even remember ever seeing it outside of that one... Yeah, filtering your loot is easy, because 95% of the loot is the same and if you don't happen to want that cookie cutter item then it's SO hard to get what you want :(
If you aren't lucky to get your Masterworking hits on Bash on your weapons... is the GF sword a better option until you get all the right Masterworking crits on Bash?

I have been a fan of Rob's since diablo4 and I agree with Eric Douglas, I would like to study Rob's builds.
Thanks for the great build! But D4builds has terribel performance on the site to make it almost not usable for me? Is there something wrong with the site?
Can you make one with Uber uniques we finally have a way to get Uber and no one is really using them.
I had a few challenges meeting some of the gear requirements and the following tips in the video really helped me out, I hope the additional timestamps can help others just starting out:
03:46 - How to use HoTA synergy in HOTA version
28:13 - Same synergy with Iron Skin version, procs 'Decimator' node in Paragon
07:39 - Add more Elemental Res using Paragon if needed, 2 more nodes for 3% more
12:38 - Challenging Shout and why it makes sense to use "Crowd Control Duration" tempers
14:46 - How to hit Armor Cap w/ Paragon changes: ~300 extra armor
30:56 - Thorns/Bleed DR Synergy Explanation
32:00 - Movement Speed vs Crit Chance skill points (very helpful early end game)
*Additional Note: Progression Breakpoints that made the STARTER build smoother for me by greatly increasing my damage:
1. Legendary Bash Cleave Temper Recipe (farm Blood Maiden boss in WT4 Helltide)
2. Any Ancestral Pants with +Bash levels
4. Work on getting Crit Chance up to 50%

This is a MVP comment forsure. Thanks for this.
Is not min/maxed, probably somewhere in the middle mostly 4/12 gear but even then it was enough to 1 phase lilith, after finishing her off I went back to do torment duriel and it went down so fast that I thought I was doing normal duriel, tomorrow I will change the build to the HoTA pit mat farm version since my gear is pretty much an exact copy of yours, the only different most of them only have 1 special perk and that one of my rings has resistance to all elements as a attribute instead of strength, to help me reach the cap
Your build was performing as described, you dont even need masterworked gear to start seeing hi dmg crit swings from the very beginning, other builds like necro billion hit require a lot more work, investment, coordination, this one is just straight forward and very effective.
I work a lot and have little time to test builds, you're always 🔝🔝🔝keep it up Thanks 👍
thanks for the kind words! I am glad my build guides are helping, not everyone has the time to test it all, so I try my best :)
This is by far the most fun I have had in Diablo in a long time with this build!
So happy you're having a great time. Keep Blasting!

Thanks Rob. I never played Barbarian since 1. But this totally changed my view. It's world ending force magnitude 9.8! 😂
Hey Rob is it possible for you to use maxroll planner instead of D4 builds because d4 build planner is so buggy?
This build has so much potential, but the Leapquake version, as listed on Maxroll, can’t be played on the PS5 for two reasons: 1) jump is bugged as if you hold in a direction then leap, you end up across the map, and 2) you can’t use a mouse/keyboard with D4 on PS5.
I’m glad to find your versions, Rob! I might be able to keep playing my bash barb
How's the bash barb on console? I'm busy levelling on Rob's upheaval Barb, gonna switch to Bash Barb when I hit WT4
The first 3/3 greater affix item I got was an amulet with ATS, crit change AND cooldown. And tempering immediately bricked it 😩

Anyone run into a problem where when you bash after steel grasp your bash is delayed? Sometimes i can bash right away and sometimes its feels like two second before bash animation
Yep. Feel like it's server lag. Another amazing idea from Blizzard by having this shit online 24/7.

About the same I would say - play what you like 👍🏻
I love this build, and Diablo IV loves me for playing it. Just I was getting to Level 100 today, the game dropped me a pair of 4GA Paingorger's Gauntlets!
So this or thorns barb? Stuck between the two without resources for both.
Skill issue
Thanks Rob from Rob 👍😉

In your planner you have damage to close enemies on both two-handed weapons and on the one-handed weapons the damage while berserking, this contradicts what you say in the video. Is that a mistake in the planner or am I missunderstanding something here?

@@logan.-.2125 yes, I agree. But basic attack builds are boring. They can be strong, but boring. But that’s just my opinion.

Fantastic build. Looking forward to doing this!
Hope you enjoy it!
awesome guide mate!
Make sure your glyphs are fully leveled? Only thing I could think of, but I assume they are leveled.
Blizz should make every build work on roughly the same level "balanced."
Next we need the WW Dust Devil build.
@Rob2628 should I craft grand papa for best optimization in end game?
Is this the best Barb build for late game?
I'm currently lvl 82 dust devil, just pushing through nightmares to test how well it goes..
Should I switch to this?
Imo yes best barb build this season & very easy to get into without crazy afford
Which one is best for farming, HoTA or Tyrael version?
Hey Rob. Can you explain the Rotation for the Bleed Bash Barb too?
Thanks Rob...for the boss killer no uber...cause I dont have Shako yet, so should we replace HoTa with rupture to increase attack speed for bash instead....I notice my hota dmg isnt high at all. Thank you
Danke dir 🙏🏻 Bester Build und ich bin endlich lvl 100 mit meinem zweiten Barb ❤
I will make a detailed guide on this next days 💪🏻
Thanks man 🤘🏼 struggling pretty hard with the crit strike chance it’s driving me insane lol.
Yup can totally play this without paingorgers, use berserk ripping instead until you find it m. Best of luck 💯
Bit confused about the inclusion of Paingorgers. Does it scale with Bash cleave temper?
Hi Rob, I saw you added a Tyreals Might version of the build on d4builds. Whats your stance on the uber unique on this build? Is it better with or without? Hope hearing from you, thanks in advance
I have the same question. Which is better all around. Iron Skin (Uber) build or the version with Tyraels Might?
the dmg of tyraels is really low, not worth it. but it has nice defensive stats so if you want to play defensive its quite good. thats my take on it xD
The undying aspect on chest is a massiveeeee buff. The 10% DR on tyreals is no way near as good as undying, I was using it and switched to undying and it's so much nicer
Dude right on time, im transitioning to bash after the next helltide lmao.
Same!
Lets go best build in the game - you wont regret it!
@@Rob2628i will give this build tomorrow a try, if its not possible to use these builds on console, i quite te game.
Blizzard or orb sorc didnt work, barb dust devil dont work.
Do you recommend using the grandpapa with bash build?
what is better? bleed or standard?
What is a good glove replacement if you don't have pain gorgers?
Thanks for the in depth video! Which version of all the builds would you say is best for Uber lillith? The Boss killer?
Got a separate video on exactly that topic right here: th-cam.com/video/JS8QvfpS5xk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QeT4Jd3AYBW9X9Ku
Best of luck! 💪🏻
Can i use hearth of selig in this build?
i skipped all seasons and start S4 with my first barbarian .
thanks man .
so berserk ripping is only good with holy bolts and bleed setup or is that a good aspect anyway? would be an easy way to bleed enemies without them hitting you
I played as ww until 83 when I finally got deviiilist..WW throws more devils but bash puts them right in front of you.
I'm really loving this build, thank you :)
But trying to get all the gear did make me start to loathe one aspect of the new loot system, the affix weighting...
No, Bash Temper on the Iron Skin Version is OP.
