@29.48 the wind is horrendous... you comment on how freezing it is..... yet the commitment to jigging the lure by the champ in the background is 100%.... thats why he's the hulk hogan of predator fishing.... fishing bite alarms in a cozy bivvy is one thing... constantly moving engaged in your hunt is quite another.... Great video guys
Lovely series of videos of the trip. Well done getting the drone and underwater camera back otherwise that could have been a very expensive trip. Look forward to your next adventures.
Cheers Phil, yeah got lucky with both there. Could have put a right dampener on the trip 🤪 We had an awesome time, despite the distinct lack of fish! 😂😂
You got most of us confused with that big pike image click bait type , you did catch us a bit with that British Record Pike . Anyway , news papers do that all the time . Safe travel .
Haha sorry pal. I try not to use clickbait generally, but the temptation just got the better of me this time. Too good an opportunity to miss I’m afraid! 😂😂
In hindsight after speaking to some Lomond anglers yeah we probably should have. But it was more an exploration trip and we wanted to try a lot of different areas. We will be back! 🐊
Mark, where did you used to fish on the bridge water? My favorite place was the little basin just after patricroft bridge or the swirl up at moss ratch.
@@mboutdoors_uk i used to thumb a lift on barges upto kellogs from Patricroft. i remember the sunken barges at boothstown before they built the marina. All changed now.
Lomond can break your dreams. Definitely done better off the bank than the boat. Rossdhu bay can be good, but the fish don't seem to be in the shallows yet
As far as I’m aware (and I might be very wrong) you don’t need a licence to coarse fish in Scotland. At least we didn’t! 😉 We just paid to get the boat afloat and off we went.
Really enjoyed that video Mark, it goes to show that even British record holders can blank
Of legends of the sport struggle than we bang average anglers don’t stand a chance! 😂 Thanks for watching pal 🫡

That’s what separates the superstar anglers from us mere mortals! 😉😂😂

"We drifted live ... eh dead baits for a while" spat my drink out laughing 😂
Genuine slip of the tongue! Honest 🤣🤣😇

@mboutdoors_uk you're quite good at it . There is no need to be sorry , life is fun . Tight lines fishing our ponds .
Sticking it out longer on Endrick bank might have been an idea....
Great video tho...

You can't buy the local knowledge . I was hoping to see a monster pike like the picture suggested but not quite .
We got 30 lbers on the kayak and many 20 s . Loch Lomond is the biggest puzzle to solved . Need local advice .
Definitely! Local knowledge is invaluable, we’ll be back for another go once we get a bit more info 🫡
Pulled a 36lber out of the loch 2 years ago
Nice work! 👌🏼

All over the Manchester area really. Kelloggs and The Moorings in Boothstown particular favourites for the pike. Ahhh the good ole days! 😂

Still some mid 20s coming out of klogs recently which is crazy given the amount of persurre it's always had
@@LewisTheDestroyer one of my earliest fishing memories throwing lures round the old sunken barges 😊
Easy to catch big fish on trout waters not so easy to catch a wild one on loch lomond but congratulations on the record who wouldn't want to hold that

It’s a beautiful place to blank though! We’ll defo be back for another crack 👌🏼
Hi Mark, did you have to get any sort of fishing permit or anything seperate from the boat registration etc? Thanks very much

Cheers Mark,i do fancy registering the boat on there and giving it a go,it is beautiful up there
