I’ll order a pair out of curiosity, they have interesting detailing and pocket placement that elevates these into something special and stylish that no-one else offers.
Climbing pants like the Mammut Eisfeld Advanced SO have the same sort of vibe but with truly bullet proof materials.
    Love the sweater as well.
    **Update- Friday, Sept. 24
    The pants arrived today.
    - I ordered the gift wrap option and it came in a black box with the 007 logo in black on top, the box wrapped in black ribbon-very nice.
    - The pants surprise you with their weight, the material is on the stiff side.
    - I''m 5'11"/200 lbs and normally wear size 35/36 (35-36" waist) and 30-32" inseam in most pants and the sz. L fit well, close to the fit on Daniel Craig in the movie. (slimmer in the thigh/hips)
    Good:
    - Pants fit well
    - Nice shade of medium grey
    - Quite heavy, possibly durable material/sturdy construction
    - Lots of detailing in zippers/pockets
    Bad:
    - The material lets these down IMO, very similar to my Orlebar Brown Griffon trousers in cotton, but in a thicker fabric. The OB's have an unusual, stiff material that wrinkles easily and has absolutely NO stretch- not 1mm, much like these combat pants.
The size Large fits very well overall with just enough room in the waist, hips and thighs (again, similar to the fit on DC) but I would be worried about shrinkage in the wash (100% cotton) making them uncomfortable or worse, unwearable. I don't like dry cleaning.
These trousers need to be a blend with some degree of stretch to allow more mobility when bending the knees and making them more shrink resistant.
There is also a warning tag that the material will lose color in the wash. So, lose colour and shrink?
    - Generic zippers- My made in Canada Wings & Horns hoodies use RiRi zippers from Switzerland, many other pieces of clothing-YKK/RiRi. Does it matter? To me, yes.
    - While looking inside the pants I came across a made in China label. I assumed that a "higher-end" British Heritage brand would make these in the UK. $385 CAD for a British branded-pair of trousers not made in England? No thanks.
N.Peal should be transparent and state clearly where these pants are made to give the consumer the option, I don't see this info on any of
their products, nothing, not even "imported".
Is anything N. Peal made in the UK? There is no mention on the website that I could find so buyer beware.
Private White, Lavenham and SEH Kelly offer made in the UK for a not unreasonable price, maybe N. Peal could have contracted PW to make these pants- they have done so for other companies, I would have paid the premium.
    - I've been picking off white lint and loose threads since I opened the box, totally unacceptable at this price. Is this the GAP?
These will be going back, the James Bond marketing isn't important enough for me and I really wanted to like these, what a shame.
Save your money and time- don't bother.

Can I ask how tall you are? The sizing chart says the inseam is 30" for all sizes. Usually longer than 30 I need to get them hemmed but with all the detail on the legs that would be difficult for these. If a person's legs are longer it wouldn't really matter if the length was short if they were wearing something long like boots underneath.

TBH, I wish the designers went for something more functional and pragmatic as opposed to “style” over substance. They could have got something easily accessible that would make Bond look great. There are better combat pants out there which are practical and stylish without looking like a Bond wannabe/will never be. Pentagon make some great combat trousers that are not only comfortable and functional but they look good. Kuhl (available at REI) also make great outdoors combat inspired trousers. If you’re going OTT then Crye Precision make the authentic combat pants (G3, G4) but you’re looking at $300-400 for them and they are the real deal, “tacti-cool”. That said, it pays to shop around and see what works for you. Anyhow, I hope folks enjoy the film, Daniel Craig’s last outing as James Bond.

I'm not into fashion, clothes are purely a necessity for me. But I just saw the movie and the pants got my attention. Bond is all about style over function. From the cars he drives, to his beloved Walther PPK. Getting him into some Crye Precision gear would just cheapen the character.
Anyway, it's a movie and all the clothes the main characters wear are tailor-made for them, so nothing you buy will look as good, unless you know a good tailor.

I absolutely love this look for it’s purpose in the film, but I’m afraid it looks a bit too much like a costume for real life wear.

Agreed. When he's standing next to the picture of Dan Craig, it's clear it just doesn't translate. I maintain that the sweater is absolutely fabulous but the whole "tactical" vibe is cartoonish. Remove the silly gloves and replace the pants with a rust brown chino, add a dark brown boat shoe or loafer. If we actually are insisting upon the tactical vibe, do a similarly colored dark navy chino, add wheat nubuck Timberland boots and stop there.

Awesome! I was looking for these pants and wondering if they were British military spec or made exclusively for the film? Were they made by the costume dept. and not N Peal originally? I have a pair of black British military surplus M65 tactical pants (a'la Brosnan in GoldenEye or Dalton in TLD) but they're made of ripstop material. I tend to be a bit rough on cloths and would wear them doing outdoorsy stuff like hiking and rock climbing. I just came back from a big hike in Utah, Zion national park. Are these N Peal pants sturdy or just really for urban wear?

    • @TheBondExperience

Sturdy but would go hiking but maybe not true combat.

Perish the thought that I'd get thrust into a shootout with some of the best armed henchmen in the world and I REALLY needed to take a pee - behind cover, would definitely prefer a zip.
