I had a 76 chevy van, with orange shag carpet and a zodiac mural on the side. This was in 84. And yep, it saw a few girls in the back. Had a spot for an 8 gallon keg in it too, which was put to use a few times. It was not a good vehicle to pick up your date in, though!
Driving a proper older sports car is one of the most rewarding automotive experience. In most cases it is relatively inexpensive and in most cases a good investment! There is something that technology cannot replace: the way these cars make you feel and bring your closer to your self. Once again thank you +Petrolicious for creating another masterpiece.
My dad has a '65 GT fastback, it's been in the family most of my life. I would cry and try to buy it back if he ever sold it away. Every time I've driven it, it's a little surreal. Coolest car in the world since I was a kid - don't break it, don't crash, wave to all the people throwing thumbs up at you, it's a lot to take in. So much fun, though.
Always feels like a birthday when a new petrolicious video is released. Again, awesome story with an icon of a car. I don't even care it's not an original, she's beautiful and doesn't just sit in the garage as a show piece.
There were only around 550 Shelby GT350s made. There is no shame in paying tribute to such a beautiful car. And he pays tribute almost every day by actually driving it. The guy appreciates the history of the car and the era. Stones logo is a nice touch. It can be removed. No harm done. It's his car. Kudos to him!
Love these stories about life-long bonds with a single car. That's how a feel about my Cougar. It'll probably go through various stages or forms, but it'll always be there.
IMO this is THE MUSTANG! The color combo and wheels, which look like Torque Thrusts, is just untouchable!! This is a lotto car for me and I can't thank Petrolicious enough for putting up this and the video of the white 930 turbo "Widow Maker" because these are 2 cars EXACTLY how I would have mine, THANK YOU!
Well, "This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Led to a Racing Career", could and maybe should be replaced by "This Much Money Led to a Racing Career"... Sad, but if racing as a much he does was possible without throwing a shitload of money at it, I'm pretty sure most of us subscribers to this channel, would be racing drivers by now :)
+traxnada I agree with you, but there are many wealthy people who choose not to participate in motorsports. While I certainly do not know how this person is able to afford to race often as he does, we can all appreciate his passion of the sport.
Iller Than An Aids Patient yea, those are fun, that's what I can afford. Real racing though at even entry level competition is just a whole 'nothing thing.
+Ali Ahadi I mean amateur wheel to wherl is real racing lol you just don't get paid for it there are a lot of cheap events 24 hours of Lemons is a good example all you need is 500 bucks and there are sprint events too it's all real racing just not professional obviously
I love these older Mustangs!! What a beautiful car, seems like a great driving experience. I love Japanese imports, German, all cars overall have some appeal to each of us doesn't matter from where. Great video guys!!
I've owned both a 65 and 67 Mustang fastback; the 65 is sleeker, racier and nimbler. The 67 is more muscle-car, has a MUCH better interior especially the deluxe and looks more aggressive overall. Ideally I'd own both; but currently own the 67. Although I do miss the clean lines of the 65. The grass is always greener...
I see a lot of people hating on this guy. I had a 66 in high school as well. Mid 80's in Alabama you could find some of them for 800 bucks like I did. Got the money working as a stock boy at Winn Dixie. So yeah, you didn't need big money to have a cool high school car.
Dan I watch your show hear in Scotland and to see my favourite car the mustang well it was elinor for sure well done Dan and your awsome lads Peter fae
To the guys at Petrolicious.... You's make these camera shots look almost like a film.. Amazing to watch how you's put these videos together.. Along with all the wonderful cars you's show. You's should credit yourselves..... Well done
Awesome video and father son relationship! I love Mustangs. Exotics are cool too but I'm more of a tee shirt and jeans type guy with muscle car that you can hear coming from a half mile away!
+Anthon7y3 Who gives a dead mooses last shit man. Car's are cars, you can have fun in a base model Camry or a fucking Mclaren P1. Cars aren't just objects, they've all got soul. Even your average little run about buzzbox can be a hoot. You've just got to have the right outlook, which you clearly don't.
Sweet car. A car that is fun like that but you can drive everyday is special. Even better is the father son relationship, I have a very similar relationship with my dad.
It's a cold day in Canada today, as i'm watching this my mustang with exact same colors is calling me for a ride but she's staying in the garage for today. :-(
Beautiful video, that one amazing car! it's sad how people are jealous about parents having money I want the best for my kids, you still have to put the time in to perfect your craft money can't replace that!
One of the best looking Mustangs, for ever, together with all the other 1960s Mustangs.
+Lt Mojo Risin if not the best looking one ... )
Imagine pulling up into the high school parking lot in that
+Fred StapelbedTM or half a dozen guys who only want to ask you questions about the car
+Paul RT you'll probably get more guys than girls
+Ron Malcolm did you get girls? Cause all I got was guys in my BMW
I had a 76 chevy van, with orange shag carpet and a zodiac mural on the side. This was in 84. And yep, it saw a few girls in the back. Had a spot for an 8 gallon keg in it too, which was put to use a few times. It was not a good vehicle to pick up your date in, though!
+MyWorldAt7 That sounds more gay than it should, hope you had fun! :P (sorry)
"...an analog car..."
As the way it should be.
A dying breed.
+irritablearchitect Viper is the last of em
Amen

I’ve watched this video maybe 50 times over the 5+ years it’s been out
She's an absolute beauty!
The best looking mustang, of all time.
Eleanor?
joseph sherry I actually don't like the look of that car. Too busy.
I have trouble deciding between the '67 Mustang GT and the '69 Mach 1.
both
It's called a 67-68 Fastback; no such car as an Eleanor.
5:26 - That's what I was waiting for!
Haha first thing I thought was "that's how you drive a 400 hp Mustang" bad ass cars need to be driven like that sometimes lol
+RollYourRock Yes, win.
"Just to have a little extra fun in the morning..." Good man! I'll be using my '67 whenever I can - assuming it ever gets finished, of course...
Always feels like a birthday when a new petrolicious video is released.
Again, awesome story with an icon of a car. I don't even care it's not an original, she's beautiful and doesn't just sit in the garage as a show piece.
I recognize those roads. Hwy 9, 35 "Skyline", Hwy 1 and such. Great times. Fun roads.

Great car and even better Father and Son story!!!!
The sound of that Ford V8 at 5:26 reminds me so much of Midtown Madness 2, the Mustang Fastback in thr game sounded just like it...
Funny enough, Microsoft used this car for the sound in Forza 2...maybe they re-used the same sound clips?
+Addison Lee I highly doubt it since the sound in Midtown Madness 2 was literally just 4 sound clips lol, idle, low rpm, medium rpm, and high rpm.
that's a hell of a car to have for high school!
Love these stories about life-long bonds with a single car. That's how a feel about my Cougar. It'll probably go through various stages or forms, but it'll always be there.
Sweet car and an even sweeter shop/garage to wrench in with all the cool memorabilia.
I'm lucky with my 68 fastback...I share the same feeling afther driving that one. Great movie...again.
This guy has the coolest dad around!
What a gift to own that pony. Several thumbs up sir.
It's the best one to have, that never had a movie spot...... I got one that needs a movie spot!
California has the Coolest cars and Coolest People!
+Mr. B Natural And the coolest roads!
And a lot of cops waiting to give you speeding tickets
Mr. B Natural and a bunch of illegals with a sign when you enter saying watch out for white people running at full speed out of this state
The Stones sticker is a fantastic addition, perfect... even for a Mopar fan!
IMO this is THE MUSTANG! The color combo and wheels, which look like Torque Thrusts, is just untouchable!!

+traxnada I agree with you, but there are many wealthy people who choose not to participate in motorsports. While I certainly do not know how this person is able to afford to race often as he does, we can all appreciate his passion of the sport.
+Ali Ahadi Not reall track days amateur wheel to wheel and auto x exist for a reason
Iller Than An Aids Patient yea, those are fun, that's what I can afford. Real racing though at even entry level competition is just a whole 'nothing thing.

Jeeeeeeesus what an gorgeous car. Want one.
Love that thing, such a nicely modified car while still keeping the old school feel.
A 65 Fastback as your high school ride???? Well, a lot of people wish and a few actually can... That's life. Another memorable Petrolicious episode.
I love these older Mustangs!! What a beautiful car, seems like a great driving experience. I love Japanese imports, German, all cars overall have some appeal to each of us doesn't matter from where. Great video guys!!
this 65 fastback remains to be my favorite mustang
I've owned both a 65 and 67 Mustang fastback; the 65 is sleeker, racier and nimbler. The 67 is more muscle-car, has a MUCH better interior especially the deluxe and looks more aggressive overall. Ideally I'd own both; but currently own the 67. Although I do miss the clean lines of the 65. The grass is always greener...
another beautiful mustang with a video it deserved- want one so badly
another great episode! a good respite from today's tech induced ADD is to drive something engaging and as fun as this Stang.
I have a 66" Shelby Tribute Fastback and it's great!
It's just a piece of art, love your videos! Btw i drive myself a bmw e30 318i! #driveTastefully
Great spec! Good work. Sits just right.
I see a lot of people hating on this guy. I had a 66 in high school as well. Mid 80's in Alabama you could find some of them for 800 bucks like I did. Got the money working as a stock boy at Winn Dixie. So yeah, you didn't need big money to have a cool high school car.
All I go to say is: Hell Yaaa! Nice car buddy take good care of it. Congrats.

Dan I watch your show hear in Scotland and to see my favourite car the mustang well it was elinor for sure well done Dan and your awsome lads Peter fae
Dear PL, awesome car, awesome video.
Sometimes the "first" remains the "best"...this is one of those times!
I was about to ask if this was shot on Carmel Valley Road, and then I saw Big Sur. You guys just made me homesick.
And nothing better than drive it along highway one.
Makes me miss my first car, which was a '65 notchback with a 289.
I always hit like BEFORE I watch the videos on this channel !!!
To the guys at Petrolicious....
You's make these camera shots look almost like a film.. Amazing to watch how you's put these videos together.. Along with all the wonderful cars you's show.
You's should credit yourselves..... Well done

Might get a fastback roller as my first car.Cant wait
Wow! High School car?! Great taste, a bit jealous, and i have the same Jacques Villeneuve hairline! lol
Love the car ! Love the father !
Best one yet.
His dad bought him a fast back , what a cool guy
Soooo beautiful!!
Awesome video and father son relationship! I love Mustangs. Exotics are cool too but I'm more of a tee shirt and jeans type guy with muscle car that you can hear coming from a half mile away!
Hnnnng It's perfect. This is exactly what I want for a classic Mustang. Making due with my '03 Mach 1 though.
What a great car and video!
Mustang aways will be my favorite car dude...
Oh my... DAT sound!
just another amazing film from you guys! keep up the amazing work you guys do!
This is what rich parents can get you.
Some people just have that lot in life, I couldn't be more on the other side of that but it doesn't bother me one bit, he's a car guy just like us!
+Anthon7y3 Who gives a dead mooses last shit man. Car's are cars, you can have fun in a base model Camry or a fucking Mclaren P1. Cars aren't just objects, they've all got soul. Such a beautiful car.
+Alejandro It's an old piece of shit.
+Berry Chris xDDD
+Berry Chris =P
+Berry Chris Is your life so sad that you have to shit talk somebody elses fantastic car on the internet?
Well, my life is sad since it does not have a Mustang in it, however I was joking with +Alejandro, he's a friend of mine :)
Nice ride!
Great taste gentleman
Dream Car!
He never mentions what trans or block or if it's independent rear suspension or if it's original frame if so is it reinforced or a custom frame
It's a cold day in Canada today, as i'm watching this my mustang with exact same colors is calling me for a ride but she's staying in the garage for today. :-(
AWesome sound
A very nice mustang
Beautiful video, that one amazing car! it's sad how people are jealous about parents having money I want the best for my kids, you still have to put the time in to perfect your craft money can't replace that!
awesome video! Would it be possible to get subtitles for the next movies? I love petrolicious but sadly I have a lot of trouble hearing.
Beautiful 😢
Class recordings. What camera the pictures were taken?
Could you tell me with what kind of camera have you film this video ?
The Mustang is beautifull
great car, video and you and dad have a cool bond
yah, 5:26, my brother in law tried to show his mustang off to the work buddies that way and planted his car into a concrete median! LOL!
3:26 Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix Poster! :)

The Stones baby!
+Troy Botteon Funny thing is that that riff towards the end felt more like the Who!
I wish my dad was like his dad. My dad sucked. LOL. Serious though. Beautiful Mustang. Fastbacks are my favorite Mustangs, preferably 1965-1970.
At 03:06 , a beautiful Porsche 996!..
Nice youtube, what size tires are you running. KONI's ?
