Yeah, her eyes are supposed to look like that. And in the manga, she sometimes got comments from other characters about looking like a doll. Me, I like it. It serves as a constant reminder that she's not human, and it gives her a fragile, doll-like quality that is beautifully counterpointed by her utter badassitude.
people always dig at CGI without even looking.Its just the new thing to do. look closely at the very first image. You can see the creases, pores & hair follicles in her skin.
they've just started post production, its not even finished yet. Thats why some of it looks better than other parts. Its still 7 months away .People do this every time a movie using CGI releases its first trailer

The source material is really good (if not prolonged at times), so if they can capture a portion of that "good" it should be pretty good. I do find it interesting you're not the only one who comments how the anime eyes are throw a viewer off. Yet, many people (not you) will still criticize how badly an anime/manga translates into film.
Love the cat in the background. Ghost in the Shell was a huge disappointment for me. This is a great story universe and should do well as long as they focus on the characters and stories rather than CGI effects. Ghost in the Shell was a step-by-step lesson on how not to do a manga/live action conversion. I am a huge fan of this story and genre. I am cautiously optimistic that it will be good.
Yeah I dunno picking SJ for the lead... I just don't think she could pull it off and the direction of the director. They just could not show the internal conflict of the Major or her personality well. The other characters that they did spend time on were pretty good though. And the fact that they mixed three different story lines into one really muddied the story up.

I see them! They got that texture down well. There were just a few scenes that seemed almost painted to me. :)

That is really good to hear! I totally agree with you on Ghost in the Shell. The more I hear from fans, the more excited I am for this movie!
