Being a fledgling "internet sensation" myself, 🙄 I generally watch about 30 seconds of videos like this. I hung in there until the last note rang out. Extremely nice, gentleman! 👏
Omg, I can't believe I wanted to learn to play this song, which I did from your video and I realize it was posted exactly 8 years ago today, wow. Thank you so much.
though you two look like your just playing for the camera you are actually speaking directly to the souls of steely dan lovers like myself thanks guys great job very well done
Apparently Fagin and Becker (after writing the song) immediately disliked it and didn't want it on the album (Can't Buy A Thrill) but the record company executives knew it would work and convinced them to include it. Naturally, it was a hit and they played it when they toured the album. After that tour, though, they never played it again in concert. David Palmer handles the vocal (on the album) and does a very nice job. Nice job, also by these guys.
Can anyone advise me as to what pitch harmonica he is using? I purchased a 'C' harmonica and can't get the right notes on it. Pls advise. Thank you. John
Great job (try sliding the power chord from Bb->B->C My partner showed me that little part. I don't know why I never thought of using Harmonica - thanks! (Gonna start using it until my new sax player partner gets it down & blows me away).
I think you two sound amazing dont listen to the criticism of assholes thinking its going to be the real thing they don't get it that's why there not on TH-cam there little basement trolls with no life just wishing they could do what you two have done it burns them up cause they have no life and there probably in there late 30s still living home with mom and dad taking up the basement....
Very nice I have your recording a reference on my PC in my studio. I'm practicing for a set trial. (TRUE) Thank you so much. I want you as neighbors, please. Can I be in your band? :) I'm 66 and I play B+ guitar. I met Robin Ford n Pat Ford and know a guy in Moby Grape. I have a PRS and a Deluxe Reverb. I know 35 songs. I play Bass and have a studio. 3 guitar amps and 2 bass amps. Jus joking but joining your band, although it would be nice to meet you when you are in Sacramento region. You seem like cool guys. We have 2 Summer Jams every month. 8 to10 players. Lemme know if you are in town we have 2 chick singers that are b+ we have an OK drummer who loves Steely Dan, as do I. We have Dirty Work on our Set list, as well as Pretzel Logic.

Fantastisk :)
Well I wasn't expecting that.
Nice job. It just wants the Ama7 and Gm7 chords in it to lead it into the verses.
Is there gas in the car?
Sounds like Neil young in the beginning good performance.
Sweet! Very nice!!!!
4 people are tone deaf....
Very good job guys. This song should have been on the greatest hits album, but Fagan didn't sing it and I'm sure that's that they left it off.
fuckin rockin
i know a musician when I see em
Good but it would be better if the mixing were of the quality that Fagen and Becker did
