I’ve tried countless salsa recipes, but they all either lacked flavor or tasted too much like canned tomatoes. When I decided to give this one a try, I was expecting the same result, but was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is! It’s packed with flavor and tastes a lot like restaurant-style salsa. I’m so glad I finally have a go-to salsa recipe! Thank you!
I viewed the video just knew I had to make this salsa !!! Got all the ingredients and prepped everything, inside of 10 minutes it was done. I chilled for a bit and then tasted the salsa... WOW !!!!! This is even better than restaurant style salsa and everything is fresh. I will never again buy a store bought jar salsa again. Thank you Noreen, I have subscribed and can't wait to make more recipes !!!
Chunky salsa from the jar is good sometimes but this thin pourable version is by far the best when you're just sitting on your couch scrolling through Netflix and this is your snack. Love it. Awesome recipe!
Oh my gosh Noreen this is my favorite salsa on the planet I just love it I can fill up on that before a meal and then save the money at the restaurant you did a fantastic job
"Thumbs UP" You'd think, since I live in New Mexico... and have had a restaurant... I'd know how to make this... I've never made it, because my sister-n-law made it all the time... NOW I can make it myself. Thank you so much for sharing this great receipt. So Excited to make this.
I make my quick salsa like that also. I also put a chipotle pepper and some of the Adobo sauce in it as well to give it that Smoky flavor. It always comes out delicious.
I fortunately have all of these ingredients on hand! I am going to try this. I love salsa but have never mastered the art. This looks doable. Thank you.
Wow, Noreen! This Cantina Style Salsa is the BEST homemade Salsa, I have ever eaten! Thank you. I looked on your Website, but could not find the Recipe, to get the amount of Tropical Sazon you used, so, I went with One Tbsp...figuring I could adjust, from there... One Tbsp was perfect, to me...
I live in Texas, and we eat salsa on everything, anxious to make your recipe, it looks delicious! Allof your recipes I’ve tried has been delicious! Thanks for sharing, love your videos!
Cantina style salsa so easy you will want to make it all the time! Don't forget the chips! A printable version of this recipe is available on my website here: bit.ly/3fPLqGB
It's funny because I make salsa all the time and I am always looking for new ideas. From you, the tip I learned was to try the Sazon seasoning, but even though I've made salsa countless times, I didn't even notice you left out the onion until you mentioned it. I appreciate you showing the entire process, even something you forgot. It also just goes to show how flexible salsa is when it comes to making it. My favorite style is half your recipe and half fire roasted (under the broiler). The mix of fresh and charred is amazing.
Great recipe. I was looking for a salsa recipe that was not for 10 pint jars. Just the way you did it. Thanks. Don' t worry about that onion. It all comes out in the wash. Hope you and yours are all safe and sound from Hurricane Week.
I boil my jalapeno until they lose bright green color. I usually use 5-6 to a large can of tomatoes and add some garlic powder. Throw in blender. There are so many variations and I love them all !
Hi Noreen, I tried your recipe about a year ago. VERY good. However, my family likes just a little more heat. Not to much but just a touch. So, this is what I did and I hope you approve. 1- 28 oz can diced Roma tomatoes. 1- 10 oz can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies ( I use mild), 5-6 gloves of pickled garlic, 1 small to medium sweet onion, 2 cleaned jalapenos, 4 dried red peppers, 1 poblano pepper ( seeds removed), juice of 1 lime, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon Kinders " The blend" . Blend everything together in a blender or food processor. Place in a bowl and add chopped cilantro. Mix and set in frig. I hope who ever tries this recipe likes it.
Finally. The recipe I was looking for. Simple and delicious 😋 I made it for my daughter's birthday. I just had the opportunity to taste test it. The guest licked the bowl clean. None left for me😒
I always put a dab of sugar in mine to take the edge off the tomatoes. But will try it exactly this way, with this blend maybe I won't need the sugar. Looks yummy!!
I take the onion, jalapeno, garlic and a couple whole tomatoes and roll them around a bit on a hot cast iron pan. If you fully roast these ingredients you can sweat them in a plastic bag then peal them. Learned this from and old Mexican man. He never put garlic in but I do.
Dear Miss Noreen, my family and I just love watching your videos. You're so spontaneous and welcoming. What a great hostess you must be. Anyways, God bless and warmest regards from Brazil!
I use jalapenos and serrano peppers to taste. I'll put 3 of each in as a starting point. When you have all the ingredients in and your tasting your picante sauce don't only check the seasonings, check the heat level. You may need to add 1 or 2 of each pepper along with your salt, etc. of the additional ingredients needed in this recipe to enhance the flavor. Enjoy and God Bless! Oh and in case Y'all didn't know serrano peppers are just a little hotter than jalapeno peppers. Just like salt, put the right amount, taste testing and adding a little at a time because just like salt you can add too much.
Noreen I discovered your channel when I was looking for a fridge pickle recipe (I tried yours and I absolutely LOVE it) and I love all your videos! Such nice home cooking recipes :)
I tried your salsa recipe this evening. I also forgot the onion. I put 3 spring onions in at the last minute. This is even better than a lot restaurant salsas. Hello from Greensboro.
I am so sorry! I am in the process of rebuilding the site from the ground up on my own. That is one of the reasons I have been MIA. January is a good time to get stuff like that done. I am hopeful with a newer structure this problem will be alleviated.
Marsha Border. Sazon is a mixture of spices that are utilized in many Latin driven recipes. Double check your market in the Mexican foods, Ethnic foods, Spices, Salts' and I have seen Sazon on shopping shelves next to the meats. It is a basic staple of Mexican cooking. Also it is produced by a myriad of marketing brands. I use two available here in the Great State of Texas. Goya brand or Fiesta by Bolner. Good Luck!
A friend from many years ago made these bowls we have two sets of four hand thrown rice bowls of hers. She no longer makes them and focuses on art pieces now.
I don't really know. I am currently working on holiday posts. I have given all the ingredients in the video. I will have to ask you to write them down. There really are only a few and they are simple. Thanks!
lol I was gonna say....why no onion? 😭🤣but whew! Nom nom nom...poor hubby, HAS to taste test (dramatic back of hand on forehead) Glad your family is ok from the hurricane! ❤️
@@NoreensKitchenOfficial I knew I recognized the frustration in trying to fit and lock the top. My Ninja sometimes drives me nuts! I look forward to making this recipe however. :)

Consider draining canned tomatoes before blending in the food processor. You can always add liquid later.

I made mine from what I had on hand. I didn't have any cilantro, so I substituted fresh basil from my basil plants. The salsa was delicious!
Basil? That's Italian tomato sauce. lol
Just got through making this and it is so delicious it won't last long around my house
Thank you for making this video! So many brands make "restaurant" style salsa, but its actually still just chunky salsa.
Wow, I just made it and it's amazing. Just as good as I recently had at a sit-down Mexican food restaurant.

You can blend the onion in or missed ingredient with half of the salsa & pulse mix in the rest to preserve texture & cilantro size.
Good save!!

How long will this last in fridge? Do you have a link for your blog? I am dealing with hurricane aftermath too. 💕
7 years in the fridge.
Do you use 1 or 2 Tablespoon or 1Teaspoon of the season and salt ?
Yummy! What food processor do you have?
It's a Ninja kitchen system. Comes with a blender and a food processor.
