I played both games from start to finish and then some extra time because I found it fun but I much prefer the first game, it’s more the world of the walking dead and less of the games story and the game even offers you a choice of a story based game or a non story based game. However the 2nd game definitely feels more like a story game with less things to do (since it’s the same world/game) and some of the side quests can be boring, also 2 of the original location were basically removed as the zombie horde got to it and it’s basically unsurvivable, which is a shame as I loved those locations. But as a whole this game was ok but felt more like a dlc instead of a second game. (P.S, I know you haven’t played any of these games and weren’t planning too but I think you’re nitpicking a little too much, The flashlight and journal is at the top of your chest to the left and right so if you pick up a gun it’s because you’re going too low, and for most people they played the first so they mostly likely didn’t care about the rest. Still a good video though 👍🏻)

In the base area there actually was just the bus in the first game so the underground house is new and its really good having more storage in this game
did you properly adjust your height? that should help with the ui annoying you. also you can change the ui anyway in the settings if you dont like it. and the zombies have hit boxes on their entire body, its just that theyre only damaged through decapitating the arms or head or stabbing the head.

I'd rather pay for it then, but will still try it out. Hopefully the bugs are ironed out by the time I finish ch.1
I notice most of the time when you’ve said there was UI clutter and was struggling to grab things you kept looking down which makes it harder to grab things. Its easier to grab things on your body easier when your head is looking straight instead of down with a more smooth transition when grabbing things. I personally love the backpack system as well we all have preferences in the style of games we like. But I kinda agree that there should have been more content and does kinda feel like a dlc. Overall I still love the game but if you haven’t bought chapter 1, chapter 2 is a steal to get.

This has nothing to do with the walking dead show. It is its own storyline. Playing the first one helps build this story. I know it has its problems and bugs, but if you didn't even play the first one, why would you make a video about this one? But that's just my opinion. Try playing the first one, and then come back to this one. I understand you are just analyzing games as they come, but there is a reason why you don't skip to what just came out without starting the "lore" of a story. Just my 2 cents.

I understand. I guess I gotta take it from your perspective and when looking at it from someone just coming into it, I see what you are saying. And it offers just more areas to explore, weapons and upgrades, as well as some new mechanics. So I can see where playing the first wouldn't change your mind anyways.
And also as I mentioned in the video, it is a pretty decent survival horror game for what it is! And if you do care about the story, then you will definitely get more value out of this game! Between development my own VR game and making TH-cam videos, I only have so much time to play for my own enjoyment. This title is simply just not one I’m going to continue to invest my time in. But I feel like that’s ok and it’s ok for people to enjoy the game too! I’m not mad that I have it in my library for if I ever do decide to return (tho I kind of would rather have it on PSVR2 lol)
@@developRHUNT they are in the home base, and they mostly require you to use a feature that wasnt really present in the first game, which you also didnt mention. in the first game the home base was just the bus and the 3 tables next to it fyi, not the massive catacombs area and 2 crafting tables that were added here. i guess it makes sense its harder to appreciate after not playing through the first one but i think you have to. i tried playing the second game and kinda got overwhelmed by it so i did the first game first, and i gotta tell you its significantly different. probably shouldve been a dlc like that but i dont think they couldve done all these changes like that. regardless lets be honest, no one wouldve made this a dlc today.

@@developRHUNT i stand by both games and the first 7 seasons of twd so i don't think anyone with no investment should judge this products niche is twd fans and this could never be a dlc it adds areas. nights new items new box sizes . trades. a sense of importance to new Orleans you really help exiles with those trades unlike in the first game were dog treat somehow equals 10 gunpowder or a sense of a danger with gery and letting the bells rings as mama can be seen as an equal survivor or a monster the games perfectly tell a story across 2 chapters and 2 games

As I mentioned in the video, acknowledging that I'm an outsider to TWD universe, that I feel being invested in TWD will have a big importance with how much someone likes this game. If someone doesn't care about the store at all, do you feel that they could safely skip 1 and go straight to 2? Again, completely disregarding the story contents. I felt like since they wouldnt be importing all of the crafting unlocks, they would get more hours out of number 2 and not be missing much from number 1. But I could be wrong!

Definitely if you play the game a little bit more there is definitely weapons where you don't need to stab zombies in the head like the chainsaw you can cut zombies in half I do agree though the game was buggy on launch

@@developRHUNT this, is outdated they updated the game made it less glitchy basically made it a new game with bunch of new content I'm still confused to this day why you thought it was a red flag to import your stuff from the old game optional it only brings your weapons nothing else they don't force you to do it
And you said the zombies don't Flinch when you shoot them when I seen you shoot the zombie and it flinched zombies you can cut their heads off and cut them in half with a chainsaw so you're wrong on that and blow them up
And one more thing you for some reason used Wikipedia did real you did not research and see if the bus was the same or not instead you said it has a Vibe it was the same bro even mention all the new Kraken recipes that was added to it you forgot the new crafting stations they added
you cant complain about reused level design when its a hotel, theres plenty of diferent types in the hotel like the suites bathrooms, storage.

I have one problem with this video you forgot to mention the totally new Crafton stations
I don’t think I experienced those in my play sessions! Are they stations out in the areas that aren’t the home base so you don’t have to travel back?
