But nothing is as important as the fact that she finally found her own worth as a person.

This guy must seem very friendly and approachable, everyone is so cool with talking to him and not even concerned with why he’s randomly asking them these questions lol
Back when this was filmed, people were generally less stressed and more carefree in general. They generally didn’t mind having a conversation for a few seconds out of their day with others too. Put simply, life was more simple.
I think it says very little. I think more who they are at that moment but for sure not who they are. We have a very large range of music we listen to. Music is very powerful and I'm sure their mood reflexs somewhat how they feel
Ehhh, not necessarily lol. I often just put on a random ass playlist (even for generes i don't usually listen to) to discover new stuff, so if someone asked me this it's more likely they get some song or artist that i've never even listened to before
2:47 It's beautiful. She says Frank Sinatra as she keeps walking and those few seconds the camera stays there, showing us NYC landscape, made me feel great.
What the other guy said but also notice how they always keep walking and walk away straight after. It's a pretty dry subject so I wouldn't use it as an opener too often, plus it's pretty hard to change the subject to something else smoothly. Also I'd say it comes down to talking with strangers one-on-one, but if they're in front of their friends it can be embarrassing to talk about their music taste.
Why is this making me emotional? It’s so pure and real. People just walking around enjoying their day and their music and we get a little cross section of their lives
Same! I’m a native New Yorker and this was really touching. It’s such a pure and simple way to connect with someone if only for a brief moment in a city where everyone is pretending to not have a second to spare. Would love to see an update to this. It would be especially touching now because it’s a safe way to connect with a stranger in a time where stranger literally means danger for many.
I actually thought the coolest part of this video was how you can make really close guesses for all these people, and how everything about them (clothes, accent, attitude) perfectly reflected their music. Its cool that musical communities are still alive like that even if we don't really think of it as being so since its not black and white like 70's music culture
I love how with some of them, you can literally *see* how the song ties into their identity, and how it’s shaped them, and for others, it’s like, “there’s no way in helllll , you’re actually listening to that.” “you dont even look like the type”😭

It's a pretty dry subject so I wouldn't use it as an opener too often, plus it's pretty hard to change the subject to something else smoothly. Also I'd say it comes down to talking with strangers one-on-one, but if they're in front of their friends it can be embarrassing to talk about their music taste.

God I love music
People were more comfortable with human interaction in general back then
I love how the old guy takes off his glasses just to SEE the title.
maybe they were near-sighted lol
My grandparents always do that XD
@@pukimonchu772 this guy was definitely a male. Why use “they” in this context?
@@arthurlouiskarl gen z
@@arthurlouiskarl "they" as in "the Glasses" lmao
the Day N Nite guy , definitely looks like he’d be listening to that
he actually looks a liiitle bit similar to kid cudi.
@@elitebanditfighter3394 fax
He do look like kid cudi😂😂😂
I thought that was kid cudi
Great song choice for the time of day
5:30 The way he just throws the opened banana into his bag
He’s cool
Lmaooooo
Lmaaoaoao noticed that too hahaha
Why is this making me emotional? It’s so pure and real. People just walking around enjoying their day and their music and we get a little cross section of their lives
Music touches our soul
It’s because you aren’t used
To seeing that vulnerability on a NYC street imo.
He needs to recreate this video for the 2020s. (I feel old af now).
@@chilliam00 ya FR I’m surprised I haven’t seen any videos like this before I’m barely discovering this now and it’s a awesome idea love music 🎶
This man had the best street interview series and he didn't even know until 9 years later
I love that it’s impossible to predict the song, people are surprising
Agreed. It challenges our stereotypes...bit I was not surprised by the Oasis and Korn guys.
If you didn't guess that guy was listening to Bob Marley then I don't know what you could have lol
@@rayallen73 came here to say this😂😂😂
I actually thought the coolest part of this video was how you can make really close guesses for all these people, and how everything about them (clothes, accent, attitude) perfectly reflected their music.
Its cool that musical communities are still alive like that even if we don't really think of it as being so since its not black and white like 70's music culture
except the guy who looked like kid cudi listening to kid cudi
3:18 was my favorite person, we was so happy
Welcome to another episode of you did not search for this video, but you left satisfied...
So many people walking around the world with their own little world going on Inside their ears, I love this!!!
I know right it's so awesome lol
This comment defines this video incredibly nicely imo.
The good mood in this is contagious af
2:46 Listening to Frank Sinatra while strolling through New York just sounds like such a vibe
I love how with some of them, you can literally *see* how the song ties into their identity, and how it’s shaped them,
and for others, it’s like, “there’s no way in helllll , you’re actually listening to that.” “you dont even look like the type”😭
also. does this guy know his videos are doing numbers? somebody should tell him ..
also. can we get another one? to remind people how much we all love each other? lol
@sweezybones lmao RIGHT. like you really *never* know
