Get a Ravin if you want a good crossbow that makes it's strings and cables last. I just changed the string and cables on my R10 and it had the same ones for 3 years and over 300 shots. I only changed them because I felt like I should, they still weren't worn out too badly. No string friction on a Ravin. That makes all the difference.
@followthefanchers - Yeah I don't like the new series from Ravin, but the R10 I have has never given me a problem. I use GAS String and Cables. Next I'll try Archery Shack just to see how they compare to GAS.
What’s happening Brandon, man I have just found the wax to be an issue in certain situations ya know. The rail lube is a must. Appreciate u following along man
On a Ten Point Turbo XLT, it requires twist on cables (4 bottom, 1 top) and strings ( 15-16 twists). Which direction do you twist these when installing?
Do you guys work on killer instinct crossbows? I had one given to me for for working and it really needs some work. I have no idea where to take it for at least an estimate.
Morning Cordell. I work on all types of crossbows but tell me what’s going on with it? If something is broken then it may be a dealer issue. Let me know
@@followthefanchers like when I was shooting it the strings was tight in strong but after I got done using it in putting it in my case for a few mins I took it out in the string was like loose in wobbly like easy to pop them off I didn’t have it cock or anything I just had it in the case for a few mins
@@followthefanchers I did they put a new string on it for me but I haven’t use it because I’m scared it gone do the same thing to me I’m tryna see everything I need for it imma get me sum rail lube I got wax imma get me a string stopper because I heard the string supposed to last for about 1 or 2 years in mines only last 2 weeks lol. Do you have a list of stuff I could purchase so I can keep my crossbow up to top
I was using a crank cocking device and I was cocking my crossbow and the crank cooker broke and it made my crossbow string to come off of the cams and I got a new crossbow string to put on my new crossbow
That wax will create heat ever time the crossbow is discharged. Therefore, the heat will gradually cause wear and tear and weakening of the cables over time.

Looks so good!
I agree with you on the rail lube. I put wax on my strings and within 50 shots it started wearing and swelling up in spots.

Is there a certain amount of twist in the string and cables?
There is not necessarily a certain number but there is a correct length and u can add to or shorten that length with twist
