Waiting for my Brave 7 to arrive today. Not care much about audio. 4k30 quality and stabilisation looks good enough for me, for camera 1/2 the price of Osmo Action and 1/3 price of Hero 9. But still need to wait until Covid 19 settling down here in Malaysia to continue my hiking activity. Thank you so much for your review.
How to buy this camera in India 🇮🇳 ?
The Brave 7 actually has an external mic port. I believe you can use an adapter for 3.5mm microphones and capture even better quality audio, if you want.

Picture quality is not good 😊😊😊 . Very poor video
I have seen reviews for the Brave 7-LE. The video quality of the LE is not as good as the Brave 7 or Brave 6 Plus. But the LE has the best audio of the three (by a large amount). Why can Akaso get the same good audio quality in their new models? Can't they just use the same internal mic hardware, the same mic firmware, and similar mic placement? For me, video and audio are important (and I don't want to have to use external mic options). C'mon Akaso, you have a really good overall product (value per dollar) - but each model misses on one or the other when it comes to video/audio. It's the only thing stopping me from purchasing some of these for my video work. C'mon!!!!

When ordering the Brave 7, how will u know if u get the updated version that has the improved audio ?
It might be a good idea to make a video based on cameras that have not only great 4k but 1080. It seems they either have one or the other but few have both that would be the perfect camera for me and I'm sure many others. BTW Great job as usual on this video!

The internal mic is much better. Not quite up to comparable to the GP-9, but I don't expect that. I wish they had fixed this before the launch. I ended up returning the first one I got because I wanted to use it for a cheap vlogging camera. I may reconsider it again.

Yeah, there is sound now, but still quite sub par imo. Andre at Worth It Or Not even got an 'improved' version that had no sound at all. Akaso has been struggling with sound since the V50X. Would wait and see how the Brave 8 (which is in the pipeline) pans out.

The update version of the Akaso brave 7 seems to work much better than the original version
i just purchased the Brave 7 for my bike as a safety cam of sorts, that and for something i can use to do things with the kids and try and capture some of their outdoor activities. I noted the sound is ok for what i need and the video seemed to be ok. I ordered mine from Amazon and noted that the battery and card doors are different. They have a finicky little slide clip like switch vs the older push button release. I am not sure which way is better but i am guessing that was part of the redesign.
I am just thankful i have something that is functional. For me it was around $210 CAD after taxes, and cannot compare what it would cost me for a GOPro or an OSMO. At least for my minimalistic use, its a great value.
These cameras seem to get updated all the time. $210 CAD isn’t bad when compared to the almost $600 CAD I paid for my GoPro 10 when it was released
@@RedskullPro thanks. I think for what i need, it seems to be ok. I can see that the units are evolving even though, the model name stays the same, especially on the budget action camera models. I do worry a bit about the reliability of the port covers but i guess that will be tested over time. I wish i could afford an OSMO and perhaps i should have saved up but based on my needs, i guess i don't need the fanciest or most expensive model....
How would you know if you are buying the “Updated” version if it has the exact same name Akaso brave 7?

What i would like to know is, what is the standby time on the akaso cams? I am an avid fishing guy and i don't need to record all the time but when i want to, then i need the cam ready to go. I had one of these cheaper cams and standby was max 60-80 minutes, that is not much when you consider a fishing day can be up to 12 hrs or more.
Sorry had to go with the V50 Elite. Because of the no external microphone to improve the sound. That the 50 can take. People will switch the channel with bad sound faster.

If not a firmware fix Akaso should recall all previous versions as faulty. I would purchase this action camera but it would be from Thailand and not risking getting a faulty old version and the lottery of a newer one with the fix. So holding off at moment maybe to save for Osmo Action or reassurances from Akaso.
Yeah, that would have been the right thing to do... send all the previous customers a new Brave 7...but I doubt that they will do it :(

Hello! Friend! I bought and use the Acaso Brave 7. Your video on board helped a lot. Thank you. But there is no place to buy additional batteries. Do you happen to know which batteries are compatible with other models? Or you can tell me the address of the place of purchase.
For your information, the Akaso 7LE and the battery do not fit.
Shame Akaso can't figure something so simple out as a microphone. I loved my V50 Pro and reviews for the Brave 6 are fantastic, but they really shit the bed with the 7

More info should be dropping for the Akaso Brave 8 on Sept 22nd. Let's hope it has more in common with the Brave 6 Plus over the 7LE & 7.

@@RedskullPro Great news, let's hope this one is more promising. I know there was only one out in the wild being tested for firmware adjustments the last few months. Look forward to your thoughts and comparisons. Hopefully you can do a Brave 6 Plus, 7 & 8 comparison please. If the 6 Plus is generally superior again (minus out the box waterproofing) Akaso needs to start reconsidering how they source parts, action camera builds etc.

Yes that would be great. I film all my bike rides on the Akaso Brave 6 Plus. It was available again on Amazon DE, I didn't hesitate and bought another one. Good camera for the price. Good image stabilization and natural colors. Very happy with my choice.
what is the full name of the updated version? how do you know which one is updated
On the bike the microphone was awfully full of wind noise and the bike was going very slow so how can you use this camera even on foot with little wind???

Unfortunately TH-cam is filled with too many crooks like you who get free gadgets in exchange to make fake good looking reviews.
The title is specifically about the microphone and we can hear the awful noise coming from it but you didn't make even one word about it.

The AKASO Brave 7 Action Camera showed good potential but not there yet. i experienced condensation in the inner lens every single time, after 5 mins of operation, making it totally unusable. I don't recommend anyone getting the current version until they are able to fix this fundamental issue.

Thanks Alex I'm looking for a good action camera to use while motorbike riding and just adventure videos I want something nice and clear going to able to withstand some bumps just generally a crisp quality that is going to be easy on the eye to watch want to atleast reach 60fps don't mind if it's 4K if anyone can help please comment your ideas thankyou heaps!
Try and see if you can get the DJI Osmo Action... i've seen it for $199
Bought the camera yesterday, is it mine camera or is it overall with Brave 7, but the image is overexposed. The camera cannot handle different exposures (if I am in room one part of the room looks OK but as you go more towards windows it shine like Vegas :))) Lowering EV to minimum improves things a little. Also bought the camera mostly to be used with bike, on helmet. Please note that provided mounting parts cannot be mounted on motorcycles helmets, they are flat and not curved.

@@RedskullPro Just to add, it is not that bad inside, it can be used as webcam (as decent one). The only problem is if you are near the window camera is poorly handling exposure adjustment in multi exposure environment. I must say outside the image quality is decent. I will keep it in the end.

They stopped selling the previous one. Make sure you buy it from the Akaso store and willing be the updated one

Sadly Akaso has had issues with many of their action cams. From poor audio, 4k issues, stabilization problems, etc. Right now I would consider other brands...
Probably best to spend a bit more and get something like the DJI Osmo Action
I really wish they hadn't discontinued the Brave 6 plus. I don't get why they did. They still sell older cameras. Honestly I think it was better than this one

The hardware in the "old" ones was bad...no way of updating it...
