Best tips for revising for me are;
When taking notes try not to write in paragraphs as they're going to be too boring to read later. Make bullet points and underline the keywords.
Highlighters are great however don't highlight EVERYTHING just keywords or things you have to know. Makes it easier to skim through notes.
DO NOT TAKE ALL NIGHTERS AND DO EAT BREAKFAST. I cannot stress this enough, you'll feel so drowsy throughout the exam and you'll feel sick from both nerves and hunger.
Lastly, only check the time when necessary. Constantly checking the time makes the exam seem longer causing you to lose motivation and often daydream.Oh and try not to doodle too much the examiners dont like that (but if you have to try the second to last empty page if there is one. Not on the back the teachers will see it.) Good Luck x

This is actually pretty inspirational I was revising today for 6 hours (with breaks) and I am always so tempted to go on my phone to just check a text. I can't think of anything worse than failing my Maths and English GCSE's so Thank you!!

my personal tip is to think that im going revise, afterwards i look back at how productive i was and feel great about it, contrast it with my procastination, then seek this feeling.

This is probably too late for this comment but for those who don’t like reading whilst revising can alternatively use TH-cam and watch revision videos rather than reading a whole text - it works just as effectively

but a lot of students today can just search the information they need on their phones if they choose to and as long as they have will power they wont get distracted by things on their phone(twitter, Facebook etc)
i completely agree its so much faster on phones however theres that tiny chance of jumping on to their social networks too ;-)

5 years back I did IGCSE in 5 subjects, English,Math,physics,chemistry and biology but with very poor grades because of bad and improper situation and environment. Then, my education was discontinued again because of some issues.Now, because of my age I don't want to repeat IGCSE but continue A'level. I don't know what to choose for A'level subjects, I am totally lost. I can't figure out what I like and what Is my passion so please can you suggest me anything.Thank you

I know this video is more than 2 years old, but before I watched this video, I am taking my GCSE in May/June 2019. I was already planning on temporarily going inactive on my Instagram and Snapchat account, once the Chrsitmas holidays finish, and deleting those apps, and downloading them again, on the day after my last exam. Now that I came across my video, you convinced me that my decision will benefit me.

not only in uk. many malaysian students failed spm (equivalent to gcse) because of whatsapp, facebook, instagram, twitter, wechat, clash of clan, angry birds, ps4 games, xbox games and others

my sister failed her gcse before.. and she confronted soo Many insults and negative comments. she barely got 4/9 subjects for her to qualifies 6th form. she retake it and she made it!. soo don't give up people..

Hello, I'd just like to say that I'm a guy that doesn't smile a lot and doesn't believe in people's views but this video inspired me and made me smile and considering that my GCSEs are 3-4 months away I think that this is the best motivation that I needed in order for me to revise successfully for these next few months, thank you and ishallah I succeed with the right grades that will hopefully build my future.
I really struggle in school, an I asked teachers about help but they have done nothing, I'm mostly scared of failing my GCSE as I don't want to disappoint my parents I just don't wanna be a failure to them, an sorry but what do you do know as in jobs or uni as you seem to be doing great when failing them
gurl i feel u for one course i've had 4 teachers and at one point the whole DEPARTMENT QUIT TT.TT and now all the classes for this subject r so behind, but if ur teacher sucks and if u have a friend in another class ask to join their revision sessions with the teacher or ask for their hand outs and stuff like that
My mates don't really help me, and I also made the bad decision of choosing triple science, which I'm currently getting lower than 30% on the tests, it feels like shit exspecialy when you have tried your hardest but always come to fail everything.
Violet Bloom this may not be helpful but consider getting a tutor (out of school).

Violet Bloom maybe you should revise the stuff you are struggling at consistently. People find that TH-cam also helps for student and for revision or if they just need help with something.

UK government should first focus to remove independent school academies due to the fact that they hire inexperienced or unexperienced teachers (with lack of social skills) which let the students fail their GSCE. I do know the fact that the students can revise but if they have a bad subject teacher then the chances of them revising is less than 50 % or worse. Is such a shame from a rich country to provide the poorest education because in East Europe the education is top notch compare to Western Europe and UK education level just makes Western Europe look like joke for others.

I stumbled into this video of your as a suggested video by TH-cam. I think Allah made me see this on purpose. I am a mother of two studying for my Chartered Accountancy exam and I needed to hear this. I get distracted on social media while studying. That's the only thing stopping me from studying.

I've watched this video on the right time! I'm starting year 11 soon and I'm really scared about my GCSE's. I know I can do way better than I do now. However, I feel like no revision technique really works for me & that makes me waste my time :(

I get my results in 2021 I’m in (yr9)
I was distracted with trying to cope and manage a newly diagnosed physical illness whilst suffering from depression. I didn't get one single GCSE and that's coming from someone who was predicted A*-b's in their early years of high school. I feel pretty crap about it

For revising u could give ur parents ur device and go in a peaceful quite room and start revising and make sure no one distracts u
but wat if u need the gadget for ecudational purposes like Facebook rkly helps me to help other ppl in maths fr exmple

today (12 June 2016) I got a small paper and on it says that I've failed my ARABIC EXAM!!! but altleast I have retest on TUESDAY! ..... I am in grade 6 I'm going to senior.but not only me there is 3 more people in my class! I passed my math exam very well!

Hi, do you know if I could be able to a gcse in chemistry while doing A-levels?
I'm not really sure if what I am saying is correct but I would suggest for you to find out about doing gcse chemistry privately at a tuition centre... It will cost though
