What kills me is the dislikes on these videos. John is making a living for his family and recording it. Not only that bur he fosters as well. Darn, internet trolls. Ugh. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion but John is such a nice guy he doesn't deserve the scrutiny.
You need to realize that Thumbs Down also helps the video within the TH-cam algorithm. This is why the most viral TH-camrs would rather you leave a thumbs down (and even a negative comment bashing them) rather than nothing at all. It's all engagement to the algorithm, which has no feelings.
I love that you list and sell items for 8.99 free shipping. Teaches me not to overlook small items in a lot. I tend to lot up stuff for a buck a piece or so when I can’t profit 5$ at least. Thank you and keep it up.
Because of John..and watching all these videos, I have learned a lot. I made a real haul this weekend. However, I also found a real gold ring in a bunch of old costume jewelry rings. The elderly lady did not have a clue. I KNOW John would have done the same thing as I did. I told her and she cried out " THAT WAS MY MOTHER"S RING" and had no idea how it got in the box with the old costume jewelry. She thanked me but still charged me full price for the things I bought. So funny. But would always do the same thing..Some things you can not buy or sell. Integrity and character is priceless, and that is why I really like John
About one month ago I was able to pick up four TI-84 graphing calculators for $5 each. All 4 were in very good condition. I listed the first one for $34.95 plus shipping. It sold in 2 hours. I listed the second one for $39.95 plus shipping. It sold in less than a day. I listed the third one for $44.95 plus shipping. It sold in a couple of days. I listed the last on for $48.95 plus shipping. It sold in one week. If I was able to pick another one in the future, I would probably list it for $49.95 plus shipping. However, if the seller does not mind waiting, you could probably list it for $60 to $65 plus shipping. I believe it would sell.
Hey John...1)Great idea with the Metal stands for separating boxes, thats what i do...2) I did a local pickup on Ebay, & the lady paid, then she messaged me so her husband came to pick up...made sure she gave me feedback once she received it...That was one Smooth transaction, haven't had one since...Go figure!
Hey John. Have you noticed when you add a buyer to the blocked list, the system deletes their messages to you? I had episode with a buyer where I tried to satisfy their issue with an item. We messaged each other a couple of times. They escalated their rude behavior. I blocked them. When I contacted eBay about some of the statements they made, the customer service representative could not pull up the buyer's messages. The representative could see my messages but not the buyer's. Thanks for the videos.
Just wanted to thank you for your informational videos. I have been on eBay for over 22 years but it goes to show you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks for your time and trouble brother. Glenn
Sorry if you've already answered this and I missed it. Would you be willing to share how much profit you made from the large 3-storage-locker purchase you made, how much of the material you still have left, and if you'd do that again. In other words, was it worth all the effort?
Found out about you from watching Hairy tornado. Glad he gave you a shout-out. Can you explain how you keep track of which bin number a certain item is in so you can find it once it's sold after you list it? Thanks!
When i get anything supposedly from eBay wanting me to answer the message on a different website or if it sounds fishy, i just forward that message to eBayspoof and they will look into it for me and let me know if it is real or not. usually, it is not and they tell me to delete the message which i have already done. I also get messages from Paypal and i will send them to Paypalspoof also. Just got one a few days ago, forwarded it and paypal told me to delete it.
The rolling racks check standard restaurant supply they sell them there good prices and different sizes and colors i used to work there. They also do discounts as the people who work there earn commission
I notice that some of your items have free shipping and some are plus shipping. What is your criteria for deciding if an item has free shipping vs paid shipping?
Hi thanks for these videos you have I felt like I stumbled upon a gold mine! I wanted to ask you, what is your mentality in deciding in making your listing free shipping or not? I understand you most likely add the shipping in the final cost but I’m wondering why sometimes you make some listings free shipping and some you don’t?
Have really enjoyed watching your videos. How do you determine whether you will do free shipping or charge the buyer? If you do free and not in a flat rate box, how do you figure your actual cost ahead of time so that you can price the item accordingly? Hope you have a great 2021
If he got it in a lot and is already in the green by selling a few items that were worth alot more the. After shipping which was prolly a buck and half and not even a dollar fee then 5 bucks profit. It all adds up
Thanks for a warehouse/office tour. So is that all your inventory there? I thought you have more bigger inventory set up for your ebay store. Very organized and yet productive set up!
On starting a business that you wish to grow and don't need the profits to get by with...obviously you would make an inventory of what was purchased and how much it was bought...lets say you purchased 100 items at a dollar each..and you sold one item at lets say 20 dollars..would you replace only one dollar and call the rest profit? or would you put back all the 20 dollars to replace the cost of the items not yet sold? How do you actually calculate the growth of your business?as if you do pay back all the inventory..you can never say it's all paid for as you always need to keep buying...confused ,,,,would much appreciate your advice.
John, thanks for all the great videos. Curious to hear an update on the storage units? I know you were able to consolidate down but are you out of all of them yet and if not do you plan on getting out of them soon?
Great video. I was wondering if there is a way to sort the items that have sold and need to be shipped by the custom sku? That way you don’t have to go back and forth to the same bin over and over. Thanks
Springfield John you can do a custom SKU that is near the UPC entry and store category. I have seen several TH-cam RS use the bins and they say they use that field to say where the item is stored.
Like your set up. Wondering how you decide where you put your items that you list in the labeled bins? And how do you remember which bin to pull from? Thanks
Hey John, I love the way most of your stuff fits in a bin. I have been dealing with larger items since I started selling. They were all a decent profit for the most part. Just eat up time. I was just wondering if you have seen a better return by selling smaller items and perhaps you could do a video on that subject.
So if you list on eBay you can't cross post on Facebook? I'm new to eBay. I make jewelry. I've been on eBay three months and no sales. I would love to email you for pointers. I love your storage set up. It would make an awesome place to make and store jewelry!!!
Hi, I have watched a bunch of your videos and if you have answered this, I am sorry to ask again as I have not seen it asked or answered. If you have everything in tubs, how do you know what the shipping cost will be? I try to be as accurate as possible and basically have my items ready to ship, meaning boxed up and ready to go. So I know the weight and dimensions of the box. Do you guess at what things will weigh?
John, are the lower priced items even worth it? Especially when you are shipping for free. I'm just getting into selling auto parts but I try to sell items that bring back at least $50. thanks for the videos.
How do you sell on eBay. I have quite a few things but I don’t know how to exactly sell. I know how to list but how do I receive the money (back account, credit card, eBay credit etc?). And how does shipping work?

Enjoying your videos I have a question about your DVD players or VCR combo players or any electronics that you buy. If you don’t have the remote do you do anything other than just make sure it turns on as far as testing it? Thank you
I've been reselling on EBay for years..and only lately I've had a.coupke of bids...only to see later the bids have gone 3 times in 3 days..but its never happened before...has this happened too you and would you know why..please
I'm curious how you organize your inventory, It looks like you have the same game in different bins. Whatever your methods are it looks like its working.

Hello, John, The question I have, The way you put items in the storage bins. Makes no sense to me, they have many different types of items per bin some indifferent bins have the same type of item. How does that work?
Seems crazy, and you wonder, “why doesn’t he just put all the Nintendo games in one box?” The trick with that apparent disarray is when you’re pulling sales, instead of rifling through dozens of games, you open a bin, and there’s just 3 or 4 games that stand out from the rest of the items. 1. Buyers are dum, and never read. 2. I don’t know how huge is “huge,” but my initial thought is when he buyer complained and requested a refund, it didn’t occur to them that they’d have to re-box and mail it back. Sam's Club has those rolling racks WITH nice plastic shelf liners for $89, I bought several a year or so ago and they've been worth every penny.
Some great sales John thanks for sharing! The funko pops are moving pretty decent!

You ask a very good question. I actually have most of my stuff outside still, I feel like I would be lost having things in containers like that.
Do you have a video that explains your inventory system? How do you tag a listing to let you know an item is in “A4” or another bin?

Hi John, I like your storage unit-office-eBay store!!! Love your videos. Thanks for the tour.
How can you set the price when you do free shipping without going in the hole. I for some reason end up with customers clear across the country.
You add the shipping in with the price. If it's 10 to ship and you sell for 5 then you price it at 15 and viola free shipping
i do not know what surprises me more
the games and items you find and the profit you make
or the organization 😂😂
Can you explain the Regional A's and Regional B's???

I'm always amazed by the fun stuff that you have. You know, I haven't been to 1 garage sale this year? I never thought that would be possible.

Hi Can you make a video on how to deal with aggressive deceiving sellers on eBay?
Do you Goto the post office with all of your package or pickup?
Do you track miles for taxes ? Like when you drive to yard sales and deals? Also do you keep track how much you spend on each item for tax time ?
Those scammers will try anything ..just started selling on gumtree and my phones been ringing like mad with scammers lol ....Cool set up brother 👌👍😀
Love that setup. Couldn’t be a better setup unless you’re a huge seller.
Hey John great video as always.
When did you decide having a storage locker would be worth it?

Question... Is this a storage unit? And if so where do the wood doors on the inside lead to?

Makes perfect sense to me! Helps to prevent pulling the wrong one to fill an order.
Also is size and shipping a big part of your buying process?

You should do a recap at the end of each episode showing total sales, cost, profit, etc for the week
how much a month is your warehouse/ office ?
