Looks like you got it figured out, ive never used the scale you have in the video but most scales need to be turned on and tared (zeroed out) with no weight on them. If you have the fish on the scale and then turn it on it will read 0.0 because that is the weight that was on it when you started off. So turn it on and zero it out then weigh the fish. Side note: this is an important feature because it allows you to add different tools to the scale like different style hooks without them being added to the weight of the fish. So if you want you can add whatever hardware you want onto the scale or even a whole basket that you just toss the fish in and it will still accurately read the weight of the fish and not include the new hardware.
