I haven’t actually! The previous owner was several inches shorter in the leg than I am and I need all the room I can get. We’re going to add a further back seating position that will help in the future but for now the lack of back pad really helps my comfort.
When I talked to you at the Kingsbury fly-in' my first thought was, "this guy could be a 'You-Tuber". You have the perfect persona and aviation enthusiasm to make a great channel - and this video is proof. Great job! I'm certainly looking forward to your upcoming productions. All the best.

To see you in your natural environment flying this RV6 is just a delight, what a fun airplane and I know nothing about it. I was trying to see where you packed your luggage. Thank for all the time and effort making this video for us.
Thanks Jim. It certainly is a fun plane. There’s a big luggage area behind the seats I put everything. I think you can see it for a second towards the end of the video when I’m packing up and I put the camera in the plane.

It’s close. I have one video in The pipeline for it currently waiting on editing and then I need to get in the shop and get some more work done for the following video.

It is a lovely aircraft that RV6. Good all rounder. My only reservation with it is the wing. Not very exotic. I probably mean erotic because it lacks taper but think the 6 and 7 are top of my list in that class. Is there a 6 or 7 built that has retract gear do you know? Some one needs to plug that gap.. What’s your view Ian?
I think there have been one or two done custom with retracts. The debate is that with the airfoil and wing planform that the Rv has, it may not go much faster given the added weight of a retractable gear setup.
At this weight class retracts very rarely are worth it. If you look at the ar5 it broke speed records with fixed gear. Same with the tailwind. It's all about fairing in the spots that can cause drag

You may have addressed this in another video, but why don’t you use a back pad on your seat?

Also whatever happened to the bush plane project before the chinook. You sliced up some fuselages and never did anything with them.
