Idk why it never occurred to me to just increase the temperature on my flat iron. I keep hearing hear is bad, but just look at your results!! And I love your haircut! I can wait to cut mine again

Super cute! Try clipping the curl up and then releasing everything once you're done? That gives it a sec to set, so you avoid having to do as many passes with the iron.

Bob is definitely giving everything! 🔥 I agree the type of hair you have depends on the heat it can handle. You have strong coarse hair. I have fragile fine hair so I have to be very careful with heat I can’t even use titanium flatirons! Question, do you put any moisturizing products, oils etc in your hair throughout the week?
Agreed! So I typically don’t but I’m working on a new routine for during the week. I’ll probably make a video about it soon!

Sis you are so right about damage. To be honest the damage is in the products ladies. I would say avoid sulfates, ph's, and all the extra. Use virgin products and pay the extra buck for professional styling products💯

I grew up being taught the same that your hair is TRAINED not heat damaged.
I think it makes a lot more sense too, cuz if you’ve been straightening your natural curly or kinky hair for 20+ years, well guess what? That hair is gonna eventually learn to not curl up as much. I haven’t had a relaxer in YEARS maybe almost 10 tbh, and even my sides stay slicked down. So I agree with you, unless there’s breakage, it’s not necessarily damage but trained.

I love your hair! Do you have a video of you receiving the cut?
Try putting rollers on the “random sections” and maybe sit under the dryer. It maybe pin curl them. It may be very helpful. Your have cut is so cute by the way.

Yes the hair cut drew me in. My long hair has no style. I’m just afraid of burning my hair and searching for a protective product. I think the Brazilian hair straight made my hair fall out so I’m looking for a new way.
