We have a young couple at church who came here from Africa as young teenagers, separately they managed to learn English, both quickly catching up with their H.S. classmates, next they made it through college where they met. They'd accomplished all this in a few short years while working full time jobs! He became an engineer, she went on to medical school, she's now a doctor and continuing her education! Through all this they've managed to buy a beautiful home, have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl, both toddlers, and live a happy wonderfully blessed life, though they are extremely busy they never miss a church service, and they honor God in everything they do! IMHO, along with all the hard work, a reason for all their success!

Of course their mindset is Desi different, they didn't grow up under apartheid extremely harsh racism and Jim Crow. When we black Americans first got out of slavery our mind set were different too, we were ready to go, ready for success. But unfortunately or white people had other things in mind. We will open up our own businesses, literally ex-slave we're buying Back Plantation from their own slave masters, they were buying Farms, opening up their own schools, being elected to office everything was ready to go, and then white people took all of that way, created a harsh racist system, and now we have the mindset that we have America is racist will always be racist.

I’m from Canada, so here’s what I’ve observed in my country. African immigrants, be they from Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, etc, and even many Caribbean immigrants from Jamaica and elsewhere, are basically like most other immigrants. They are hard-working, family-oriented, value education, and have a sense of community. Although a funny thing happens when they have children born or raised in Canada, in all too many cases. Some of their kids start to “go native” with the more North American black culture, often picked up from the education system, popular culture, and their black friends. This has created some tensions and differences within some African and Caribbean immigrant families. You’ll sometimes see things like Jamaican or Somali parents who get jobs or run businesses to support their families and enjoy all the opportunities that Canada has to offer, but their kids start getting into some of the more off-colour hip-hop music, or gang culture, or the whole BLM-style black victimology narrative, often because they start mingling with certain crowds of friends. Fortunately, some parents are able to pass on their more traditional culture and values, so their kids don’t get sucked into all that other negative stuff.

Yeah, what you have said is true, Imran. It’s very prevalent. I see that happening all the time. It’s as if they begin identifying with color, which is a simple minded and lazy way of categorizing individuals. They feel the need to seek validation by “acting black” = ie. picking up degenerative behaviours and lifestyle choices.

In comparison to immigrants from the Caribbean or Africa, our immigration system operates in a manner similar to that of academic selection . Other than for refugees, the US immigration system is SELECTIVE and favors professionals like doctors and engineers who can be fast tracked to permanent residency. The processing for the diversity lottery, H1B and EB1-5 visas is evidence of it, as is the Immigration Act of 1990. Our immigration system favors and selects persons with particular educational qualifications and vocations as well as those economically solvent (aside from refugees) over the poor and illiterate, which results in biased statistics for comparison.

She is 100% WRONG. Nigerians or any legal immigrant group excelling is simply a direct result of the US immigration system working as deigned and its inbuilt selection process. The immigration process could have a preference for height and we would then get taller people on average. Therefore since certain educations and professions are given higher priority such as in medicine, and engineering we get a cherry picked population. Nigeria being a place where people are looking to leave in large number so we get the Petit Bourgeois or better. Not many doctors from Sweden or Germany looking to come to the US.

In 2019 the poverty rate was 18.8% (lowest ever recorded) which is over a 50% DECREASE. The HS grad rate is nearly 90% in near parity with the national average and over 400% increase. The college graduation rate is over 26% an OVER 500% INCREASE. Life expectancy is higher today than ever better. Crime has DECREASED by nearly 1/2 since the 1990s. Teenage pregnancy is at its lowest rate ever In every measurement Black America has improved. If AAs have culture that does not value education and low crime how did this happen? FACTS MATTER! Welfare was created for Caucasian women because of the Great Depression, and they did not have men in the household because of the war or poverty. The original ghettos were Jews, Italians, and the Irish when they migrated in the 1900s. These same people turned around and brutally took foundational American land or properties; this is documented if you are willing to do the research. Currently, there are more white people on food stamps and government assistants than Foundational Americans. Please go to the Congress of Library or a Research library to do proper research. You know, y’all keep saying that but the reason most Africans migrate is because of the major oppression in Africa. The reason why most Africans do well abroad is because they have been actually oppressed by their own and so they have come to realize it’s just human nature to want to act that way when in power. So what happens when Africans leave home, they see the oppression going on but do not be fooled, it is nothing compared to what goes on in Africa and they see AAs complaining and it is hilarious because imagine going through worse at the hands of one of your own.
3 years ago, innocent people were shot at in a public space while singing the national anthem by the Nigerian army for protesting against police brutality, public figures, celebrities in the country were part of these people and they were shot at. Nobody lost a job, nobody was punished, an investigation carried out, people found guilty but not one penalized. @@georgeodongo4734 Yes, follow your own advice and study YOUR history very carefully, look inward for the answer not outward. We as a species only VERY recently entered an era that renders slavery LESS useful than free people, elevated morals isn't ending slavery, the basic economics of the needed labor force is. That is why slavery is ending worldwide. It has not ended yet, at least not worldwide, but it is on its way out... unless CERTAIN groups of elitists push us back into a broken archaic system where slavery retains its value. That is what needs to be addressed, stopping those who would shove us backwards into an old world society where ignorant, brute labor has value. We need to move forward into this society before us where educated, competent, skillful labor is required, Slaves cannot fill those positions, therefore slavery is in no one's best interest.
Regions that have yet to industrialize are the only regions that have need of ignorant brute labor, labor perfectly suited for slaves. That is a trap as regions that use slave labor don't want educated, competent, and skilled populations as they resist slave labor, and thus they eliminate those who try to elevate society, thus trapping them in this quagmire to repeat the same tragedy generation after generation. This is why many regions of Africa, and Asia still have slave labor. Introduce Industrialization, and slavery will end there in 2 or 3 generations.
Why do you think these elitists keep claiming that the environment needs us to stop industrialization? Look at the environment in non industrialized regions... It is horrible. These elitists aren't interested in protecting the environment, they are protecting a system of slavery.

    • @Hawkido
      @Hawkido ปีที่แล้ว

@@georgeodongo4734 It holds true across the globe... Look at Europe, it wasn't "Western Morals" that ended slavery in Europe, it was industrialization. Though Western Morals more easily permitted the end of slavery, they certainly didn't bring about the end of slavery, as they had those morals for centuries, but serfdom and SLAVery (where the word comes from) still persisted. Only industrialization gave economic incentive to elevate your populace.
And yes, the lack of industrialization in the south was what permitted slavery to persist longer than in the north. The Plantation owners did NOT want industrialization, it would end their way of life.
The slave owners that did industrialize, freed their slaves even before the Civil War, as they were a net financial drain, and that is why many southern states passed laws forbidding freeing their slaves, to force people to keep them and thus increase pressure to reject industrialization.
Now look at those seeking to limit industrialization across the globe. They are the ones limiting freedom and oppressing people. Because it financially benefits them to limit the spread of industrialization.

People that migrate from the developing global south to the United States and are well off are generally from the wealthier class in their home country. A lot of people don't realize exactly how incredibly poor some developing countries are -- there is less wealth overall, so the effect of all the wealth being concentrated in the 1% makes their poor EXTREMELY poor, compared to American poor people. A massive portion of Africans that came to the United States came as refugees, arriving with nothing, and finding a new home in an Atlanta suburb or something, and the majority of them stay poor the whole time they're here.

I’ve had many encounters with African Americans and I have had some acquaintances as well but it is very difficult to be close friend with them except the likes of Candace who are conservative because liberal African Americans (who embrace individuality over community) are truly the most delusional and lost people in the entire world. You don’t have the luxury to embrace liberalism when you come from a broken community which embraces a culture which promotes violence, promiscuity, drug use, getting money in illegal ways and so on. I have had experience with all kinds of people from different background but my worst experiences are almost always with African Americans. The black race is demonized and seen as a joke by other races because other black people such as Africans, Caribbeans do not have the representation African Americans have in western media. I don’t hate you as individuals because there are plenty of decent, successful African Americans but I hate you as a community as you have failed giants like MLK. But yet black Americans have achieved more than Africans. Let's do another math system, black Americans spending power, basically our GDP...
is 1.6 trillion-dollar and were only 47 million... Nigeria on the other hand, is a population of 213 million people, but their GDP is less than 500 billion, black Americans are worth more, African Americans are inventors meaning... if you Google black inventors and black innovators, its black Americans, and only black Americans... , basically if black Americans were small nation, we will be the 12th largest nation in the world. Now Nigeria has an abundance of resources,
they have natural gas oil, they are a resource-rich country, yet they have a very low GDP. They have a very high population they are abject poverty
they are a third world country ..
so all you're saying is a bunch of nonsense. Nigerians are literally walking on hbcus, black Americans are not in their University.
Now. Given the fact that white people were very racist towards blacks and kept them out of society, and it took black Americans over 100 years to open up Society and no Civil Rights bill that were passed in 1964 and in 1968, and 1970 black Americans finally become first class Citizen,
and then twenty years later a huge immigrant population come over here. Who didn't experience Jim Crow or was not pushed out of civilization because of extreme hate, I would say black Americans have done pretty well for themselves considering the fact that they came from a harsh background so you can take that data,
bald it up and stick it up your butt hole.

The title of the video is manipulative as it forces an agreement in absence of an obvious logical explanation. This question can be asked in so many different ways and I will give u examples. Hopefully u ll see the trend in how the question lacks depth.
    1. If America is racist why do blacks dominate the sports arena?
    2. If America is racist how come we had a black president.
    3. If America is racist show me one law or institution that stops black people from being their best? Etc etc
The answers to these question have nothing to do with proving or disapproving the existence of racism or racial bias, or institutional racism, or whatever relating to race.
In order to understand why Africans are successful then u need to understand US immigration policy and how it affects the quality of immigrant population in relationship to variables that determine success in the US.
Cadence should use this observation to prove good policies incentivize good outcomes rather than falsely attributing the observation to lack of racism.
Here is what u should keep in mind. Across the board, immigrants of all races fair well than most Americans and they are also far more educated than the American population.
There is about twice more immigrant Africans with a college degree in America than there is white n black Americans with college degrees combined. That is 40% African immigrants have college compared to 14% of black and 22% of whites in America.
This distribution is not caused by the culture or mindset differences but rather by existing immigration policies that vet for immigrants with successful attributes and traits.
Whereas africans re dominating the American population like in college education less than 6% of africans in Africa have a college degree compared to about 35% of Americans with college degrees.
I hope I ve sparked a mind somewhere to begin to question everything they hear beyond political affiliation. Be free don’t be limited or contained in a political ideology.
