This was the story of a True "The American Dream" come to life. I could really FEEL Dr. Carson's heart, and his honest sincerity of a call to action, in wanting to serve the people and make things better for them, then they once were. What I LOVED, was when Candace asked the good Dr. what he would do the night before, when planning for surgery. His response told me Everything about his character. He gave it to God, verses having a "God Complex", as too many surgeon's do. How Wonderful, how Refreshing! I always admired him for his incredible skill set. Now, I also very much admire him for not only his strength of character, but for his humility, and reliance on "A power greater than himself" for counsel & direction in all Important matters in his life. He is a true gentleman & deep thinker. He definitely made a permanent impression on me.
That's why I love Ben so much. We have so much in common when we realize skin tone is so superficial and a shallow way in determining differences. With Ben, I see him as I would any individual because he speaks the same LANGUAGE I speak and understand. IT'S COMMON SENCE! I was actually going to vote for him through the primary debates. I was so very happy to see that he was asked to join the President's cabinet. I greatly respect him and honor his opinion in all he says.

I lived in one of those little GI houses too and I was very happy there but my parents loved each other and made a great family life for us. Your mother was brilliant. That is the mistake the blacks are making, most black kids never see a book till they start school. My babies had books to look at and play with and they were being read to. I think blacks are highly inventive and have wonderful talents but they just don’t want to try to compete and aren’t encouraged to try and compete. Please read to your babies, then listen to them read, you can be brilliant. So many boys just goof off in high school and in college they realize they will have to be real students. My husband had to outline everything to learn it. He was a poor farmer’s kid, but ended up a Chemical Engineer who then got two Masters degrees. He was one of the Nation’s top engineers. My family were poor but we both had intact families. Our daughter got a major in college in Chemistry, Biology and Pre-Med. She went to Medical School and specialized in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Critical Care and my son is an Electrical Engineer. I only went to High School but I know education is the key to everything. Thomas Sowell is a great man too. I think you Candace are great, keep speaking out. I had hoped Oprah would have started a program to get books into the hands of the black kids but she never helped her own country. California is just not smart.

This was the story of a True "The American Dream" come to life. I could really FEEL Dr. Carson's heart, and his honest sincerity of a call to action, in wanting to serve the people and make things better for them, then they once were.
What I LOVED, was when Candace asked the good Dr. what he would do the night before, when planning for surgery. His response told me Everything about his character. He gave it to God, verses having a "God Complex", as too many surgeon's do. How Wonderful, how Refreshing!
I always admired him for his incredible skill set. Now, I also very much admire him for not only his strength of character, but for his humility, and reliance on "A power greater than himself" for counsel & direction in all Important matters in his life. He is a true gentleman & deep thinker. He definitely made a permanent impression on me.
That's why I love Ben so much. We have so much in common when we realize skin tone is so superficial and a shallow way in determining differences. With Ben, I see him as I would any individual because he speaks the same LANGUAGE I speak and understand. IT'S COMMON SENCE! I was actually going to vote for him through the primary debates. I was so very happy to see that he was asked to join the President's cabinet. I greatly respect him and honor his opinion in all he says.

I did 4 measly weeks of surgery clerkship during my training. It was HORRIBLY exhausting!😮💨😷🔪🫀Dr.Ben Carson truly had, "gifted hands". I was honored to meet him many years ago. It changed my life.

I’m white and it makes me sick that Dr Carson isn’t respected by the left and his own race. I lived in one of those little GI houses too and I was very happy there but my parents loved each other and made a great family life for us. Your mother was brilliant. That is the mistake the blacks are making, most black kids never see a book till they start school. My babies had books to look at and play with and they were being read to. I think blacks are highly inventive and have wonderful talents but they just don’t want to try to compete and aren’t encouraged to try and compete. Please read to your babies, then listen to them read, you can be brilliant. So many boys just goof off in high school and in college they realize they will have to be real students. My husband had to outline everything to learn it. He was a poor farmer’s kid, but ended up a Chemical Engineer who then got two Masters degrees. He was one of the Nation’s top engineers. My family were poor but we both had intact families. Our daughter got a major in college in Chemistry, Biology and Pre-Med. She went to Medical School and specialized in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Critical Care and my son is an Electrical Engineer. I only went to High School but I know education is the key to everything. Thomas Sowell is a great man too. I think you Candace are great, keep speaking out. I had hoped Oprah would have started a program to get books into the hands of the black kids but she never helped her own country. California is just not smart.

I love and missed this man, Dr. Ben Carson. He has such an amazing story to tell for anyone willing to listen. Plus, I grew up in East Detroit, as it was called back then, right around the block from where I think Ben grew up. A mother's love is powerful. Think about where he would be with a father alongside his loving Mom. The family is the most powerful force, right after God.
