I'm in the US, and I only ridden a handful of these. Sound Machine, Extasy, Star Flyer, and Discovery (regular Space Loop Top Spin). US is no doubt number 1 when it comes to coasters, but Europe kicks our ass when it comes to these thrilling flatrides. I'm so burnt out with the typical American flatrides (Wave Swinger, Sky Wheel, Falling Star etc)
Great list, have these in the states as different names and been on them but the Circus hoppala, Volarc Roller Coaster, Extasy, Frisbee and Fun Factory I have yet to try and look like great fun. some of these on the list are pretty much the same and repeated with different lighting and names though like Superman 2, Night Style and Discovery The Mixer and the Flying Circus were annoying and boring rides while being headache inducing. They just look attractive and thrilling. But overall good list.
yes @ a themepark the rides are bigger and more expensive but themeparks are made for the hole family. when you go on a top spin at a themepark you go 5 ore 6 times max upsidedown. wehn you go on a same top spin at a fair in the late hours you can do 20 ore maby 30 times upsidedown. and most themepark rides are doing every time the same thing on automatic, fair rides are most of the time on manual mode. so if you ride it 2 times, you have 2 times a diferend experience
no, the Discovery from Theunisz was sold to Bakker, and last year its sold to M. de Vries who repaint it. but he has still the name Discovery. het new painting is on youtube, looking for: Discovery M. de Vries 2012 if you look good you can still see some old colors from Theunisz
Where do you find all these rides? The biggest rides I see around my area are inverting swinging ships, some aerial spinning rides but always fairly low down, and the rest are fairly small rides like waltzers. I have once been to a larger fair in London but that was a Christmas only thing. I've also heard there are larger fairs in Germany...?
ow damn, you haven't been on the eclipse in Belgium ? But for the rest i am very jealous :'( I have been on Booster Maxxx, Shake Off, Eclipse but than in B :p ! Nice vid
End of september there will be a premiere of a fair ride with 90 meter high fall in Weert ( place in Netherlands ) maybe i go to munich for the famous beerparty... big fair, low cost and beer xd
bedankt for the super video as usual, very nice to see so many rides, travelling and not travelling. the new look of the sky trip is super, have you seen? the sound machine has also undergone some work, it is now white :) Cheers.
Ah it's always America or Germany for the big rides :( Do you mean Air from Alton Towers? It's a big coaster, but it's not nearly the biggest. By the way, I used to be pretty enthusiastic about theme parks myself: I've been to almost all the big ones in UK, and to Europa Park and Holiday World (home of Expedition Geforce!) I'm short on cash at the moment though, so my enthusiasm's gone a little stale :(
Haha, sorry for clogging up your "Uploader Comments" Section, but I have to question you saying that fair rides are more extreme. I've not been to many large fairs, but I have been on fair style rides at theme parks. They feel more raw... and maybe have more g-force sometimes, but all the scariest rides I've been on have been theme park rides because they can be bigger, more expensive, and more purpose built because they aren't temporary constructs.
Skytrip & nightfly i did this year in germany on a small fair... crazy dance, sound machine, shaker i did to many times... Belgium needs rides like flying circus, transformer, vortex ( wich doesn't travel anymore), high energy, inversion xxl and more like that... 10 years ago there was an awesome big fair with rides as: enterprise, discovery, tagada, pirate ship, a ride like music express but fucked up speed ( in a good way) and now i don't go anymore cuz it boring now...
you find these rides in the Netherland, Belgium, en the biggest in Germany. some big fair´s in Germany ars: Düssledorf 13-7 til 22-7, Herne 2-8 til 12-8 ore in the Netherlands: Tilburg 20-7 til 29-7, Weert 28-9 til 3-10. on my youtube channel you can find compilation video's of those fairs to see how mutch big rides there are in the past years. A big ride in your country is Air from the family Danter
(Examples of really scary rides I've been on - Apocalypse (standing drop tower at drayton manor), Oblivion (at Alton Towers), Detonator at Thorpe (do you notice that all of these are 'drop' rides? That must be my own phobia!), but also Saw, Expedition Geforce, The Ultimate, etc.) I do love Samurai, though, which is basically a big fair ride.
Those rides are awesome! I'm leaving to go to the fair in about 20 minutes and none of the rides we have even come close to those. Makes me kind of sad.
Simon Eastland aww used to live in ireland, so expensive, but now in london, more expensive, but not that expensive for funfair rides, i love ireland, and visiting there in the summer!:)
@sirenlover100 Yes, There are 4 Discovery´s made, 3 withe the name Discovery and 1 with the name Night Style. if you look good at the video you will see all of them pass by, because its my favorite ride ;)
no i mean Air from the family Danters. if you type: Air Danters in the search window you will see video's from the ride. only this sommer it came for 1 time to the Netherland at the Tilburg fair :D and i also like themeparks, but at a fair the ride's are more extreme. and thats what i like
Can anyone explain the weird humassive bell in the back of Circus Hoppala @ 1:48? I know its a ride, but doesn't anyone know what it's called? It looks interesting.
Teck ErZ 3 years Later an answer.. In Germany there is a theme park called Hansa Park. They have the exact same ride. Just search on youtube for "Hansa Park Glocke" . Glocke Is just the German word for bell :) and I think this is the name of this ride :)
Everybody: AMERICA! LOOK AT THOSE INCREDIBLE RIDES

Fun! Most of the rides are very unusual. Looks amazing!

Dammit Europe gets all the good rides! :(
I agree. I'm also from Ontario, Canada and I'm trying to organize a trip with my brother to get back to the USA to get the really good rides!
I'm in the US, and I only ridden a handful of these. Sound Machine, Extasy, Star Flyer, and Discovery (regular Space Loop Top Spin). US is no doubt number 1 when it comes to coasters, but Europe kicks our ass when it comes to these thrilling flatrides. yes @ a themepark the rides are bigger and more expensive but themeparks are made for the hole family. when you go on a top spin at a themepark you go 5 ore 6 times max upsidedown. wehn you go on a same top spin at a fair in the late hours you can do 20 ore maby 30 times upsidedown. and most themepark rides are doing every time the same thing on automatic, fair rides are most of the time on manual mode. so if you ride it 2 times, you have 2 times a diferend experience

Just imagine these rides popping up at fairs in the United States!
You really like Discovery. lol. There is a similar ride at 6th flags so I'll have to try it out. Some of these rides aren't in the U.S. : [
Where do you find all these rides? The biggest rides I see around my area are inverting swinging ships, some aerial spinning rides but always fairly low down, and the rest are fairly small rides like waltzers.
