what did you find during the stripdown, and what was the cause? im going to guess any engine damage was a result of over revving momenterally when the gearbox threw a wobbler

Ultimatley there was nothing wrong with the engine but the gearbox one of the gears was damaged so it caused the gearbox to jump out of gear.
