This is probably my all-time favourite Finnish Eurovision song, but the male chorus makes me smile every time: "Aika kulki, kuivui posket, kaikki ruostuu mihin kosket, huominen on kaiku eilisen" in English: "Time passed, cheeks dried, everything turns in rust that you touch, tomorrow is an echo of yesterday". :-D

2018 still in love with it. The chorus of this marvellous song makes me so emotional and it fills my heart with such a joy and happiness, that I can't explain that in words. This is a wonderful song and their performance impress me a lot. Such a beautiful song and the guys behind her are great and excellent. They sing so beautifully with her, as if the song was born to all of them too. I can listen to her and watch them over and over again. Defintely , My no 1 !!

I was 16 years old in 1983 and i still remember it. It was my favourite one.
I WAS 16 YEARS OLD TOO IN 1983. I REMEMBER THE TITLE 'FANTASIA'. BEAUTIFUL SONG ALONG ISRAEL, YUGOSLAVIA, NETHERLANDS. LUXEMBOURG 🇱🇺 DIDN'T DESERVE TO WIN THE 1983 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST.

Such a beautiful song, with a fantastic melody, and a great group of singers with her. Such a wonderful performance and strong presence , as if they were an imperative supplement for her.. the way they sing with her is so special and magnificent !! They are so professional and powerful.

Probably Finland´s best entry ever even if not the best result as far as points are considered. Also modern enough in its decade. Some comparisons were made with Kim Wilde´s hit "Cambodia", but only some similarities in the verse.

The best song ever !! .With all the respect to the other ones , she should have taken the first place. the melody is perfect and the way she sings with her beautiful group is outstanding and remarkable. The refrain of this song is amazing and wonderful !

+operationmainstrike , I do agree that Luxemburg had a perfect song , with beautiful words + Corinne's great voice, and it's sweet melody, were touching and so deep - a very emotional song !! Ofra Haza - Israel had a powerful and lovely song too , but something about Finland, and her strong group had a big impact and should have taken a higher position.

I don't know why, but I think that 1983 was a very strong ESC year. As a kid I had the show on VCR and played it until I could sing along to all the songs no matter the language. I liked all the songs except the winning song. I didn't like that one as a kid.
More of cultural differences before when the nations were ordered to sing in their own languages. Better music too so this is indeed dark times.
Yeah... I think we should return to that, not like anyone sings anything deep in Eurovision. Especially in English

True winners that year: 1) Yugoslavia 2) Sweden 3) Finland. I challenge anyone to hum the Luxembourg song (although not bad by all means). Germany's and Israel's typical and shameless traditional music ripoff is all too obvious here.
