Dang, I just took mine to the mechanic's Monday (my day started @7am first appointment and then again @10am) I went to both the dealerships service dept for an oil change and a diagnostic check with the topping off of my fluids and the free wash and vacuum & then my 2nd stop was my personal mechanic to get a belt changed and get my suspension tuned and tightened up (I hav a coilover setup) and I had my front brakes inspected. After tht I spent a few hours washing my car rims and interior. and I loved the day, especially all the M4's and that one M5's and the 650 Grancoupe' that I saw @ the dealership... would love to get one of those but still wouldn't get rid of my 98'_e39_528i_priceless... I wish I would've filmed a video. Imma hav to do tht one day.
Nice man :) My dad has a 330ci convertible, that's nice also.. Mine looks even better when it's been washed, it looks half clean in the videos but I swear it is 10 shades whiter when it's clean hahaha
Erwin Schrödinger everyone does say it's a problem but. I wonder is it just because they don't want to spend the money on a new or better part. Or is it just a huge problem
I'm not too sure, I just find it to be all over the place as soon as the car has been started. The top line on the dipstick is the cold level so I just fill it when it's cold and make sure it's up to that line :)
Nice video! Extremely Casey Neistat inspierd ;), not that i mind. His way of doing it is really soothing to the eye. Keep on doing what you're doing! Beautiful 540. And thanks for the tips on how to let the air out of the coolant system more effictively, didn't know that =) Greetings from across the water, Sweden!
I think I got them from a place called Euro Division or it might have been Mars Performance, I can't remember now but I think you'd be able to find them on eBay. They're just M5 copies basically
From memory it was these: www.umnitza.com/headlights-projectors/bmw-headlights/bmw-5-series/e39-97-2003-5-series/hella-oe-xenon-e39-projectors-with-celis-technology.html
Hey Christopher :) They were originally off the E46 M3 CSL but I am pretty sure that now they use them on a few models. I have seen them on some 335's also.
I’ve got an 540i e39 aswell I absolutely love it it’s a 2001 in the grey with blue finish it’s lovely I’ve got the full m sport with the 18’s on it how did you get the m3 wheels on it with the differences in the hubs between the two models
Hey man, I hope you'll reply. I'm getting my 540i today and I would love for it to sound like your car because your car sounds so nice but not crazy loud. What exhaust modifications did you do?
+Stefan van der Watt hey man :) that's awesome, you're going to love it!! So I just have a Remus rear muffler and had the centre muffler removed :) it was way too quite with the center muffler still there.
+Stefan van der Watt no problem :) feel free to reach out at any time if you have any more questions about the car. I've learnt so much about these since having mine
That is a thing of beauty. If you always have to keep bleeding the coolant, you probably have a leak somewhere. When the coolant level goes down, it draws air in and you get air pockets. Mine used to do that until i replaced the thermostat housing which had a small crack. Here's my E39 build: th-cam.com/video/ZQQeztM2Ohg/w-d-xo.html
Thanks man :) I'll check out your build now. Yeh I definitely have a leak, the radiator has been leaking for about 2 years hahah. I'm amazed it's lasted that long the way it is, it's starting to leak faster and faster now though but I have brand new parts ready for a full cooling system overhaul, including a clutch fan delete :) I did the water pump and t-stat not too long ago so those are ok. I'll be doing videos on all of that stuff soon :)
No problem, they came prefitted with the angel eyes and hids. I'm really happy with them but they were expensive, especially in Australia where I had to pay huge shipping and conversion for the dollar haha
@@MichaelRoninTV Nice. I hear so many scares about the plastic guides and chains going in the M62 more so the M62TU.... as for the M60, it's not an issue.
dude...that was some black ass crude oil on that stick....one 3rd bimmer love em...1st1 01 e39 528i 2nd 03 330i few cars between jaguar xk8 shot like that currently driving 09 550i love it...nice vid
considering that people spend thousands (depending where you live) to have the Facelift ///M look on their prefacelift 540i, you might aswell buy the facelift and fix the vanos which isnt as big of a deal than what ppl make it out to be. Love the white, it gives so much presence ;) i recommend you get an Alpina transmission software, its a must have in my opinion. cheers
+David 2806 i agree but even if I bought a facelift model I still would have spent extra money on things like the headlights which aren't original, also I couldn't find one for a good price :) i heard the Alpina software is great but you lose sports mode is that correct?
usually the FL models already come with the "angel eyes" headlights setup, i might be wrong though. well instead of sports mode you get manual mode, and Drive is pretty much your semi- sports mode since it revs higher and the shifts don't happen that early. you can still cruise if you don't feel like stepping on it. its an all around good setup.
+David 2806 awesome man, i actually have all the stuff to do the coding so I might give it a shot :) you're right, some of the facelift models do have angel eyes but the factory ones don't look the best in my opinion.
+defrepplicaaustralia nice man, you're going to love it! Mine was done at Dandy Exhaust, did a pretty decent job but it does sit a little lower than I would like so I might get it moved. Another really great exhaust shop is Rowville Exhaust but at the time I got this one fitted the car was in Dandenong so I just went there (Dandy Exhaust).
+defrepplicaaustralia well mine is a Remus catback, so that actually is the rear muffler. I did remove the center resonator though as it was still way too quite with it on there. If you don't want to buy an exhaust, a cheap option that still sounds great is just to have the rear muffler removed and replaced with straight pipe :)
Thank you! I know, I want one really badly but they're very hard to find because of the year of the car. It has a single stage airbag and not many of the good wheels are compatible
Yeh it was due for an oil change at the time, it's been done now :) These cars seem to sludge up oil very quickly thanks to the b/s long service intervals that BMW recommend. I try and do mine every 5000-10000 kms.
hahaha only the best for my baby :) That oil is really expensive but last time my mechanic had it that's what he used so I didn't want to mix anything else in with it lol :)
yeh it does, from memory it takes about 7 litres hahah which is annoying because I always have to buy 2 5 litre bottles but it's always good to have the spare leftovers for top ups
Gorgeous ! Timeless design and that V8 is a sweet engine. I've got an '02 sport myself and I've got a video on my channel. Check mine out as well. Love the E39. Keep her mint man these cars are so underrrated. Cheers !
who else was annoyed at the fact we saw more of his face than the e39
+Black Will me, that really pissed me off! Hahaha sorry man, i'll be doing some more of just the car soon :)
Top notch video! Post more of these!
God bless you, mate.
clean ride. Nice wheel choice & my 2nd favourite colour. Love my E39 540i6 Sterling Grey!
Nice car man! Looks very clean, also great video. (YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BOIIIIIIIIII)
hahaha thanks man!! :)
Excellent video. I fly out to pick up my long coveted E39 tomorrow. Well done. Subscribed.
Thanks Shawn :) That's awesome man, hope you enjoy it!!

Love white e39s, so clean
It looks much better when it is actually clean :) hahaha
*Man i love this car!!!I got e39 but its 525d!I really like the white color toor!*
Thanks man! :)
My second car was a 2000 328i.. miss that car. love BMW. Yours is beautiful!
Nice man :) My dad has a 330ci convertible, that's nice also.. Mine looks even better when it's been washed, it looks half clean in the videos but I swear it is 10 shades whiter when it's clean hahaha
I'm going to trade my 528i for a 540i with cash on top and then muffler delete the 540i
+Salvatore Chinx nice man :) you're going to love it!
Erwin Schrödinger everyone does say it's a problem but. I wonder is it just because they don't want to spend the money on a new or better part. Or is it just a huge problem
Michael Ronin can't wait
Oh
+Erwin Schrödinger I totally agree, that's why I went for the 97 model that doesn't have vanos :)
Coulda swore I read somewhere that an 1hr after running the car is a good time to check engine oil level.
I'm not too sure, I just find it to be all over the place as soon as the car has been started. The top line on the dipstick is the cold level so I just fill it when it's cold and make sure it's up to that line :)

Still got it bro? How many ks?!
I want one so bad
Where did you get the electric side mirrors? :D That looks maddd!!!
I think I got them from a place called Euro Division or it might have been Mars Performance, I can't remember now but I think you'd be able to find them on eBay. They're just M5 copies basically
Awesome wheels, what's the spec on those and the tires you use.
dude ur car sounds so clean when u turn it on also when ur driving is it tuned
+Brian Steel thanks :) it has an off the shelf tune from superchips, nothing crazy but the driveability of the car is much nicer
I need a link to them headlights

are those wheels off the the 335i? love the car by the way

I just bought an alpine white 535i, hope I love it :)

Hey man, I hope you'll reply. I'm getting my 540i today and I would love for it to sound like your car because your car sounds so nice but not crazy loud. What exhaust modifications did you do?

nice car 👌🏽
+Christian Brückner thank you :)
What software do you use to scan the car in the beginning of the video? Is it a free software? Where can i get it? Thanks.
Hey :) I am using INPA. I purchased the cable and software on the internet. Just Google 'BMW cable and software' and you should find something. :)
Michael Ronin thanks for the reply mate. Great video by the way, and what a beautiful E39.
No problem :) I am pretty sure I got the cable from www.bcables.com/ - Thanks, I love that thing :)
Where can I get those headlights
I got them from Umnitza :)
Michael Ronin thank you
No problem, they came prefitted with the angel eyes and hids. I'm really happy with them but they were expensive, especially in Australia where I had to pay huge shipping and conversion for the dollar haha
What size wheels?
Do you still own it? Considering a E34 540/6 or E39 540/6.
Yes, I still have it :) awesome. I love either of those haha
@@MichaelRoninTV Nice. I hear so many scares about the plastic guides and chains going in the M62 more so the M62TU.... as for the M60, it's not an issue.

+defrepplicaaustralia hey :) yes I am!
I pick one up in 2 weeks. Loved the vid. Where should i go to get exhaust done? Im in the east.
Ok cool. So get rid of rear muffler or not? Message through Mick Marshall on fb if you like

Btw, Michael Ronnin, I love the vid... but I love the car even more... you kno I do, lol from one e39 connoisseur to another
What’s size are those wheels?
Hey :) They are 19's
Michael Ronin thanks man. You have a masterpiece!
what kind of rims do you have on there?
+Lalo Garcia hey :) they are E46 M3 CSL wheels
+Michael Ronin thanks your car looks amazing
What wheels are those OEM? IK…IK… I'm new to BMW
+XenoSeven86 hey man :) they are replicas from an E46 CSL M3 :)
My Grail
I like the shirt trick too btw, I might hav to borrow tht ... hope you don't mind.

yeh it does, from memory it takes about 7 litres hahah which is annoying because I always have to buy 2 5 litre bottles but it's always good to have the spare leftovers for top ups
I'm buying one of these just to rip out the trans to put into my e34. I feel guilty

Would any one buy the m package with 143,000 miles on it and it's a 2002
Hot damn, this is a gorgeous cat ...

Michael Ronin I was just giving you a hard time lol love the car by the way
haha I know :) Thank you!
10W40? you penny-pincher, you ruin your car
lol what are you talking about? The oil isn't exactly cheap, I use this viscosity of oil because it is an older car.
what kind of exhaust do you have?
It’s a Remus catback with the center resonator removed :)
