Name Redacted and Only Teams That Matter are the only Red Sox podcasts I consume, so having any interview is fresh to me and I am sure I'm not alone here.
@45:51 I disagree with Coley on this. He deserves some of the blame as well. Coming from his presser, he said that there were no financial restrictions when it came to the offseason and that no prospects were “safe” from a possible trade. He rolled all that back after the winter weekend. Also, let’s not act like his trades/acquisitions were out of nowhere and when they were done on a foundation that was already laid in the Red Sox’s favor. Verdugo? Yankees wanted him last season before the trade deadline so that was a given. Giolito? There was little to no interest outside of the Red Sox for him. Grissom? Braves didn’t have room for him AND they were in need of a pitcher, which is why they tried to get Nola first. O’Neill? Cardinals had a logjam in their outfield and needed to cut loose at least 1 or 2 of those players especially the injury prone one. Point is that Breslow hasn’t done anything to warrant any hope for him being a viable replacement for Bloom. EDIT: Coley’s take on RHB vs. LHB is stupid af. RHB have to be able to hit RHP to make it to the majors, LHB don't have to be able to hit LHP. Simply put, an all lefty lineup would be much worse facing a lefty than an all righty facing a righty. Milliken’s right in that you need a mix of the two.
I'm a Dodgers fan but I have a soft spot for the Red Sox living in NH for some time. I have been really perplexed by the decision making of this team since they won the WS. It's not like they don't have the money. They have their own TV channel, they make so much money off Fenway and the surround areas, they the 3rd most valuable team in the MLB. Why aren't they spending money on their most talented players? It just seems like they are letting so much talent slip through the cracks. Mookie Betts had over 35 fWAR in his 1st 5 full seasons with the team. Choosing to let him go really detailed the team.
I'm the opposite, having been born and raised in SoCal and a Dodgers fan for all of it. I think I'll be tuning into the Dodgers this year more than the Red Sox. FSG isn't making any compelling reasons to care about the Red Sox lately.
I'm with Tyler. What's the point of paying even 180 mill for this team? If you're not going to add to make a Wild Card push just be all about that poverty life and trade every veteran now.
44:01 Well, you have to admit that they did exactly that except it was the other way around. They started off saying they were going to be big spenders going "full throttle", and now they pivoted to being cheap asses and spending less than before. So apparently it is like that.
Hi! Regarding the weight loss discussion you all had: Tyler, have you looked into any of the new obesity treatments? I feel a tad weird butting in with such a comment, but I never would have considered it for myself if I hadn't heard people in my community talk about it-and for me, it really did solve a lot of the difficulties I heard you describe. I'd be happy to share more about my experience if you'd like. Just let me know. Good luck and congratulations on your success so far this year!
Why does the media (in this case Jared) keep being so deferential towards Sam Kennedy? I've seen Maz exhibit the same behavior. I gather there must be a lot of off the record conversations where they walk away thinking, "he's such a nice guy". Great, but isn't he as complicit in this gaslighting of the fan base as Werner and Henry?
Hoping Tyler O’Neil achieves the greatness I feel is in there. Cardinals fan here. Perhaps the old guy selling the balls is simply in need of the money.
2:15:24 Lmao at Jake not bleeping it.

Jared’s reaction to Tyler’s cheat day shenanigan was so funny “8 sodas!!!”
I cant wait to see fenway flooded with "full throttle" tshirts
JC’s voice cracking over the Red Sox pitching has the same tone as Mel Gibson losing his shit over his ex getting his Laker tickets! 🤣🤣
I gotta say Tyler is looking slim and trim lately. Keep up the hard work T-Dawg!
