John is such a hustler. The first 2 minutes its like he's just your garden variety pop star who holds the guitar so that he can call himself a singer songwriter. Then from 2:10 he reminds you why Eric Clapton called him a master guitarist. He's still got it.

Gilmore and Knopfler for instance. Sometimes less IS more. I like Satriani and Vai too, but the slower players with feeling are more interesting to me. I would really love to see John releasing a full-fledged blues album where each song is about 7-8 minutes or longer with his incredible guitar playing. Something along the lines of Gravity (Live in LA).
17 years ago I literally crossed half of Europe to see and hear U2 live, listening to this album I got the urge to do something in that style again. Good job John Mayer :)

Problem is I was expecting him to add something extra towards the ending of the song. Feels like the original version was cut short just to make it more radio friendly on adult oriented softer rock stations.
