Love it! Finding interesting 'open' chord shapes like this has been a mainstay of how I play for decades . . . lotsa fun 😀

The major chord shape with the maj 7th on the G string allows for a really nice slide on that string to the root note and then back to the 7th. Also, thanks for the lesson, as always.

Hey Sean I have been enjoying your channel since I found it a few weeks ago. I wanted to share something back with you. If you ever get a chance to try a Larrivee Acoustic Baritone guitar you must. I'm sure you have tried many baritones but almost nobody knows about them. Not only does it meet at the 12th fret and move the bridge back to compensate for the longer 27 scale so you get identical ergonomics but they actually strum well without muddiness all the way down A#-A# with good note separation. So many people gave up on the Baritone dream with disappointing results from all the 14 fret ones and I myself almost did and now it's by far my favorite guitar I can't put it down. Hope you are somebody reading this gets a chance it's the hidden secret sauce of the baritone game. (Bear Davis did a Baritone review of his customer luthier $7k acoustic and these Larrivee's are nearly identical for only $2-2.7k). Thanks for the new chords by the way and sick Kardashian reference lmao

Really nice playing and super helpful - even if I didn’t play guitar I would still tune into this video to listen to that sweet tone 🎉

KT Tunstall rocks excellent open chords. These fit great into the arsenal! Thank you! This feels like a Florida video, though. What gives?

Great lesson. And yes... your guitar has a beautiful sound.
I'm totally lost however, on the "science" of the chord structures you speak of, so to speak.
My bad. So much to remember... so little space left on my hard drive above the shoulders.

This is beautiful. I love these chord voicings. And yes, do another video with the extensions. These are so practical and accessible and sound fantastic on an acoustic ( with elixir strings, of course. Actually, I do use them. ). PS, are you back in FL?

0-10-9-0-8-10 is a beautiful E minor variant, good examples of it in The Angel Song and Braver Than You Are both by Ezio

Be nice to have a chord diagram for these chords to keep us in line learning new positioning.

I find it was better for my own learning to make my own diagram for each fingering. Writing it out can help with memory.

Must be a new D-35, mine is a '72 and it has a much deeper body, closer to good o'le D-28 or my D-41.

My favorite beauty channel! Still watching to see how you get the exact same amount of unshavenness and terrible hair every time.
Meanwhile, the guitar thing is exactly right for where I am right now: fifty years playing the same barre chords with no colors like sixths, major sevenths, or ninths.
    Highest regards,
    Dockside Dave
