I've been utilizing triads, diads and inversions for quiet a while now and watching this video reminds me that there are still other shapes and etc. I want to suggest that there is a tab animation of chords in the screen. This would be very helpful for beginners growth and as well as the channel's.
Thank you for posting this video! I have been playing for years, but have lacked the knowledge of different chord styles. I always revert to a barre chord or a traditional open chord. This video motivates me to expand my treasure chest and to try and apply these new chords (to me) going forward
@@worshipartistry I can appreciate that, I was grumpy when I wrote the comment though, and probably overly critical. I do appreciate all you guys are doing.
How do you go about memorizing the music? I know that most worship songs are not that complicated. I tried once just writing them out in Nashville number system. But then on Sunday morning I lose my place and panic,
What helped me gain confidence was to just put the sheet music in the ground and if I needed to look down, I would. Eventually I noticed that it was just a crutch and I didn’t look down at the music. So I stopped doing it. But a lot of practice really did it too. But it became natural after a while, but not at first.
Yes you can play them on acoustic. The lack of effects will make them sound a little thin. The idea is to add something extra to a crowded multiple guitar mix.
Will probably not work on acoustic played open. I mean, when playing with more than 1 acoustic guitar, what you can do is to have one guitar playing open and the other playing with a capo, transposing to the same key. It will work very well.

What is the guitar that you are using? Telecaster specs?
It is a fender American ultra 2 with lambertone blondies pickups and Emerson custom wiring
Thanks man! May I ask what telecaster is that? 😊

what do you when a 2 or 3 or even a 7 comes in? do you use similar shapes?
Sounds like another video idea...
Will these chords work on acoustic guitars? I tried but didn’t feel good when I strummed these chords on an acoustic.

I have played them many times on acoustic for acoustic sets, but I wouldn't play them as the only acoustic player personally.
