Sebas is probably one of, if not my favorite character in the show. I've got a soft spot for the badass older gentlemen trope, and his good alignment give him a nice contrast from the other servants of Nazarick.
one of my favorite scenes in all of overlord is the brief argument we get to see between sebas and demiurge, I wish we could see NPCs with opposing karma interact more informally.
If I remember correctly, Sebas was concerned about killing ppl even when he infiltrated the brothel & actually knocked-out most of the ppl until he happened upon the scumbag that disposed of Tuare which is where Sebas started to understand how the other guardians felt when they would say lesser beings were unworthy of life
I dont really know. Sebas saw how people were treated like playthings and then throw into trash But demiurge does exactly the same plays with innocent lifes for fun and then throw into trash. He just isnt a human
One thing I would add as to why Sebas is a monk has to do with equipment. Monks are one of the few classes in D&D that you can dress in regular clothing without sacrificing defense. You can make a very unassuming bodyguard by having a monk wear a servant's uniform. It explains why Sebas always tries to downplay his strength even though any intelligent observer can tell he has godlike strength. I made a character like that in one campaign and decided to make him the bodyguard/scribe to our knowledge domain cleric. Too bad it only lasted one session.
Regarding his hidden powers, I think that it is of a self-destructive nature that in exchange for his life, his attack power increases and his physical attacks also become magical. The lack of additional combat gear makes me think he could use all legendary weapons and armor if given the chance. Monks are specialists in all forms of weaponry and have durable bodies and are well aware of their endurance limits.

17:46 ulbert had a strong dislike of touch me because he drove one of his friends away from Yggdrasil and that touch me, unlike him, was a winner in life. Momonga calms them down in arguments because ulbert recognizes momonga to be a lot like him, a loser
They also butted heads because of their vastly different personalities. Hell, even the characters they liked to roleplay as shoecase this. Touch Me was duality incarnate. He played a monster race, but was a literal knight in shining armor who believed in justice and kindness Whereas Ulbert played a pure evil villain that loved the theater and showmanship of being an absolute thorn in everyone's side. @@filipvadas7602 honestly we need an anime with just the spreme beings doing their thing, their journey of how they became one of most feared guild and how they conquered nazarick.
Personally, when I look at Sebas, I actually think about Alfred from Batman. He's the badass butler I always assume Japanese manga/video games base their butlers off of.
Very much my impression, but then Alfred was based on a long-standing trope of the English Gentleman with an older butler who was in the special services, or a sergeant in the army, or otherwise VERY versed in combat, traps, skullduggery, etc. That trope, of course, was at least partially based on fact.
Butlers were huge things in Britain and Japan way before batman was a thing. There were also manga of badass butlers well before batman. Also butlers were always well kept, smart, and could accomplish anything as they were meant to assist with EVERYTHING.
Okay, so this is why in this last Episode it's Sebas who brings Ains down to see Negreto and the head maid. Because he wants Ains to hear them out and see them for their thoughts and for them to have some justice. How interesting.
I would SO love an actual game system that mimics this class/race system, where classes can have specialized sub-classes that you need to invest levels into specifically, and also races get levels invested in them, and maybe even unlocking sub-race options to invest levels into. The idea being, just being an elf isn't enough for you to have all the abilities and traits that are associated with elves. You need to train your speed, your archery, and your arcane mastery, and that becomes levels in Elf rather than levels spent in Archer, Dancer, and Wizard separately. And this can unlock race-specific abilities that other races just can't use, and no class quite replicates, or maybe even race-specific classes. Classically, the blade-dancer tends to be elf-specific. Invest 20 levels in Elf and 20 levels in Swordsman to unlock Blade Dancer.
@@Proud_Knight I think if Yggdrasil was made it would likely be rather polarizing in that most people would either love it or hate it With things like items that are so powerful they can literally warp and change the entire game (World items) though of course they are also really awesome and something for players to strive to control and hoard Heteromorphic races generally having access to racial classes which was "balanced" around the fact that they were PK to hell and back again because of certain classes supposedly requiring killing them. Which is arguably kind of bad game design in that it isn't very fun to be ganged up on and PK It seemed like a game with a lot of overpowered stuff but most of those things also had weaknesses that could be exploited if you came prepared for it... which would likely put off a lot of players who smack into one of those things without being prepared for it and feeling like it is unfair bullshit.
He makes me laugh a lot, it's like when Demiurge asks how he will become the ruler and Éclair says "by cleaning of course" 🤣🤣🤣 or when he orders the drink for Shalltear and instantly spills it 🤣🤣

One thing to note is that the Rubedo vs Touch Me matchup has been regarded as being like Shalltear vs Momonga. Implying that Rubedo is very strong, but specifically min maxxed against Paladin types
Sebas tian mentions there are only 41 who are stronger than him that he knows of. And ains has mentioned there are 41 other players who were in the guild, making me think that quite possibly sebas could be the strongest of the npc’s. Just a thought, but great content! Thank you!!!
I noticed that too, it could also be that he's unaware of rubedo? Or that hes just only certain the supreme beings are stronger, but isn't sure of the others.
Finally someone noticed it, but if think carefully what he truly means is that saying there 41 beings stronger than him doesn't mean he's the strongest NPC in Nazarick, it could also mean that he finds himself on equal footing with the floor guardians and other high ranking position in Nazarick right? I mean when the time, situation, items, skills and others is in his favor or at his advantage in any other day he could defeat all of them, and he also could be defeated easily when it's not his lucky day,
Sebas doesn’t view himself as superior or stronger than any of the supreme beings, they are their creators and gods and even if he is physically stronger he can’t beat them in his own mind even though he’d probably win against most of them. The other NPCs are his equals as creations of the supreme beings and co workers so he doesn’t compare himself to them. But he is without question one of the strongest Npcs as Ainz brought Demiurge, cyocutus, Pandora and Victim with him when he thought Sebas betrayed during the Ture plot line. Granted a lot of that was as a precaution against an ambush but it speaks volumes that everyone he brought was a floor guardian just to deal with Sebas even possibly betraying them.
Sebastian means “venerable” or "revered" in Latin, and comes from the Latin word “Sebastianus,” which was used to refer to a person from Sebaste, the name of a town in Asia Minor that is now the city of Sivas in Turkey. Turkey and Japan was close through history in last century specially at 90s Turkey and Japan was closest thats why name stick on many animes. Fun fact most if not all historical cherry trees in japan came from Turkey. Sagae, Yamagata governor researched and find evidence that they got the all Cherry Trees grown there brought from Giresun, Turkey thats why Sagae brother cities with Giresun and build that Turk museum there for friendship.
Thinking about it I've heard that turkey sent a declaration of war to japan in WW2 and didn't take it seriously or denied they're declaration or something.
@@YeviCoulson Reflections of Turkey´s Declaration of War to Germany and Japan in the National and Foreign Press (23 February 1945) Turkey did not actively take part in the World War II. She stayed out of the war for a long time by signing agreements that guaranteed bilateral non-aggression and security. Turkey abandoned this policy and declared war to Germany and Japan only when the defeat of the Axis Powers was certain and the Allied Powers started to take steps towards a new world order. Like many other nations. It wasnt war against japan persay it's taking a stance when the war over.
17:05 I really like this shot of the Maids. Narberal tugging at Delta's cheek is so cute. Yuri laughs seeing how much fun her younger sister a are having. And Entoma is enjoying her...snack. Yes, lets just call it that.
龍神 (ryuujin) actually means Dragon God. Dragon man would be written as 龍人 (also ryuujin). I have no idea which writing is used in the novels but just to put clarification out there.
The name Sebastian becoming synonymous for butlers in Japan likely originated from the 1974 animated series Heidi, Girl of the Alps. One of the characters in the show was a butler named Sebastian. The show was very popular and the character became somewhat of a fan favorite, and from then on the name Sebastian became popular for butler-type characters in manga and anime.
Sebastian is a stereo type name for European butler for Asians. The name came from Heidi (aka. A girl of Alps) German novel story written by Johanna Spyri. The protagonist of the story is a 5 year old rural girl living in the mountains. Later she happened to came to German noble rich family and went through many interesting episodes in the new environment of the industrially civilized urban culture. Sebastian is a sincere butler who gives many warm cares and helps. (Like caring uncle) The image of the western butler was almost first introduced to Asia (Japan, China, Korea) during the late 19 century to eary 20 century and Heidi played the one of the key roles. Maruyama, the author of the Overlord seemingly adopted the image projected from Sebastian from Heidi. (Of course with a little variation for Nazarc version) The function and capability are mere projection of Japanese senkoku tradition culture because everybody fought everybody else during the war times of Senkoku. One last thing, ethnic background of Sebas can be traced back to Turkiye. (Turkey) by the name indication because Sebastian means from Sebastia, a old name of Turkiye city sivas. (Although Sebastian in the Heidi was working in the German noble family)
Excellent video. Sebas is one of my favorite characters. There is no doubt there is much more to him then we know and hopefully we will eventually find out.
yes... because Albedo can take a pounding... (hahaha) in reality though anything could happen. They have so many items that can do so many things that are unknown due to how the new world and their sentience works that it's only really known about their basic skillsets. Albedo using that world item/weapon could be different than when just using her axe for example.
I always saw the abilities of Zero as not shamanism but the tattooed monk prestige class you could take 10 levels of in the 3.5 edition of dungeons and dragons. Every couple levels you gained a new tattoo that either gave a spell-like ability or a permanent bonus to your character attribute. Some animals, such as the phoenix could only be gained at level 9 (of 10) in tattooed monk. Also as a monk subclass, all attributes to stunning attacks and fist attacks stack with base monk levels
With him being a Dragonoid, so many things make more sense... the intimidate that he used on Kline is very similar to an ability dragons in D&D have called 'Frightful Presence' his since of justice is very in line with the Silver Dragon from D&D as well Based on the limitations of how the other NPCs are made, I think it would be very easy to see him as equal to a Young or Adult dragon in terms of D&D, but instead of being a dragon having Shapeshifter to appear human, he instead appears human normally and has a type of True Polymorph that allows him to become a dragon in some regard.
I will say as all of the characters in overlord. he is my favorite he's the type of character that I would be I would play a character like him. a symbol of justice and peace but also looking well dressed is a win-win in my eyes.
Also the trope of monks being sometimes able to have a proper scrap, comes from a group of i think it was buddhist monks, during the sengoku jidai, it's quiet nice to see such a miniscule 14th century sect of monks become inspiration for a trope multiple centuries later, worth reading up on.
That Monistary was such a thorn in Nobunaga's side that he eventually got mad and burned their monistary down and slaughtered anyone who tried to escape the flames. They were litterally badass enough to make Nobunaga himself admit that something wasnt worth taking.
Sebas is definitely a True Dragon if we are taking D&D as a fact. For when he teaches Climb to overcome his fears, he strikes at him at the same time. This is an ability exclusive to True Dragons and the Tarrasque called Frightful Presence, which in previous editions of D&D activates when a Dragon attacks or uses a Breath Weapon. Creatures with Low Levels and Hit Dice would panic or even die on a failed save, but succeeding would make one immune to that Dragon's Frightful Presence for 24 hours. Also, at 36:37 the page you've shown is from the Homebrew section of DandDwiki which range from quirky to balanced to trash to busted to broken and therefore cannot be taken as an accurate argument for the amount of classes within D&D, even if we are talking about 3.5 and 3e.
Sebas was my favorite episode 1. A normal looking man in a tomb of monsters sounded epic. Then I found out he's a dragon of some sort, icing on the cake.
So we don't know his exact power but from just the power dynamic he's near the top of the floor guardians, and his secret ultimate form enables him to take on the two who are on the same power level as him? Dude's freaking cracked.
one significant consideration regarding sebas stats is somewhat related to something I've been picking up on which is dragons have like mad presence, and considering sebas was made by a guy who was likely a powerbuilder maximum, he likely found some weird interactions between inner ki master and draconinc power skills, creating our climb scene
Thank you for finally answering what Sebas is as he’s obviously over powered for a normal human butler, and I don’t think there are any normal human characters in the great tomb. You mentioned dragon blood characters and it reminds me of the old video games for Dragon Quest and breath of fire.
Bahamut, the platinum god of metallic dragons, will at times manifest as a wandering monk in the Forgotten Realms. A recent Dungeons and Dragons focused set of Magic highlighted this with the card "Grandmaster of Flowers". I would not put it past Maruyama to know this, and fully expect Sebas to have a complete platinum dragon body either as his true self or 'final form'.
Sebas Appearance is the Embodiment of Human Kind Nature even he have Companions of Monster like you can see their twisted personally and Weird ideals of their Creator. Sebas Creator is a Dignified Old Man Player who Just Hard Grinder and Just Having Fun All Around playing his Im a Hero Type Personality.
Funniest sceje was when Sebas attacked the girl and Ainz asked "Was that sufficient force to kill her?" And im like "Bro....if that did connect her whole body would explode"
Yup but good characters in Nazarick act as a heart for Ainz to keep him from being completely evil (think how sebas reflected touch me and motivated Ainz to save the villagers)
Well yeah, he is obligated to serve Ainz despite being Lawful good. But make no mistake programing or no Nazurick is his family and he would defend them with his life, even if he dislikes or disagrees with them, he would rather commit great evil if it meant that even Demiurge lived another day.
@@4nomaIy well there's this being that can beat all of floor guardians 1 on 1 without them using world item with only exception of Gargantua and Shalltear, His name is Deep Darkness Dragon Lord as it is stated by Maruyama the author.
if sebas is a draconoid, he might have frightful presence, an ability DND dragons have that causes fear in anyone that sees them, which might be buffed by the levels in ki, so his teaching Climb might have been him activating frightful presence to full effect
Awesome videos as always man! And I had forgotten the original video you put Dart’s Divine Dragon dragoon transformation so this is a pleasant surprise to see Dart transform again! If Sebastian gets epic armor and wings like the Divine Dragoon I will lose it 🤣
What if those NPCs changed after obtaining consciousness in the new world and gotten stronger? Sebas would be an exception having made a strong relationship with that woman. It's weird that Ainz himself is teaching them how to think for themselves. Maybe we will get to see something related to that in the story. What should we expect? The NPCs remain NPCs till the end, or maybe even surpass their creators?
The NPCs did change, whatever part of their personality the guild members did not write down as part of their characters the NPCs adopted part of their creator's personalities. I.E. Sebas and Demiurge having beef with each other. Sebas himself doesnt even know why he dislikes Demiurge so much and Ainz realizes it's just like how Touch Me and Ulbert always fought.
@ 2:34 She is reference in the anime very briefly though. In Season 2, Episode 10, After Sebas test of Loyalty, Ainz states that Sebas will step down as leader of the pleiades and the younger sister, Aureole Omega will step up with Yuri Alpha as Deputy Leader
I'm surprised you didn't discuss much about Touch Me's IRL history and how it shades his views in the game. Him being an earnest policeman in a mostly corrupt system.
Dammit lol. I hoped for you to use the sebas depiction from the ending as the thumbnail like the rest of the super cuts. Luckily your videos are perfectly beautiful and informative as always. Love your work I hope it didn't come of as critique as I only thought there was a pattern. I'm still going to be happy every time you post!
Great video can I get the anime at 7:00 ish where you talked about the british history behind the butler, Violet Evergarden? The fact he is a spiritual energy fighter also conveniently works with the concept of dragonkin in this new world and spirit magic.
I have only read up to volume 5 of the light novels and am update with the anime so this is just some speculation. Like how Albedo's younger sister was made maybe different items could be added to an NPC while they were being created so that they can be more powerful or if they are already created they can be made to use an item to give them certain power. I'm pretty sure that the guild of Ainz Ooal Gown have taken out one of those powerful dragon raid bosses and who knows one of the item drops could have been a part of a dragon heart or dragon blood and if it was that powerful of a dragon I won't be surprised if it was a unique variant of that item. Anyway that could have been used it as apart of Sebas's creation or once he was created made him use the item so instead of being a normal dragon or lesser dragon he is a descendant of that legendary dragon. Edit: I can't be bothered making up my own dragon name so I'll just use one from elden ring to explain in a bit more detail. I'm pretty sure that anyone with a guild base and the levels to do so could make a dragonoid, lesser dragon or a dragon but if they created Rubedo with the Philosopher's Stone or some ultra rare material then why wouldn't they use special items for other creations I know Sebas is definitely not as strong as Rubedo but still for Sebas they could use the item Fraction of Dragonlord Placidusax's heart or Dragonlord Placidusax's blood to make him stronger than the rest of his kin a true creation of the supreme beings and yes maybe they did this to others to but I doubt they did because as you said when Sebas goes into his dragon form he can beat albedo and cocytus and break the loop of rock, paper, scissors anyway that's about all I got I'm bad at explaining things so thanks for bearing with me. Second edit: I have another bit of speculation in regards to the dragons as most people know but just in case I'll count this a (spoiler) the Platinum Dragonlord level range is in the high 80s so what would be above him? If I remember rightly he has or had a farther I don't know much about this but would he then be a Rhodium Dragonlord or something and would the level range be in the high 90s or 100? Also about the Yggdrasil dragons the raid boss ones that would take multiple max level players to take on would surpass obviously have power surpassing level 100 that's why I think if my speculation is correct that's why Sebas's dragon form can beat 2 level 100 NPC's no problems even though he is level 100 too his dragon form has abilities that the pass any level 100 in raw strength but yeah just something else that came to mind.
What I find interesting, and somewhat ironic, is that Sebas is stuck in the same position as his creator in the real world An honorable and empathetic man, forced to follow morally questionable or even downright reprehensible orders for one reason or another.
Actually Touch Me was a winner in his real life IIRC. He was a good looking cop, with a hot wife and kid(s) and had a pretty good life overall. Compared to Ainz who was a wage slave, no friends, aside from his guild members, and no family if his own. That's one of the reasons why Ulbert disliked Touch Me, he was envious of his real life.
@@blazer168 well, yeah. But its implied that, beneath the surface, Touch Me was miserable. This is because he was apparently a dirty cop who took bribes both out of providing for his family, but also out of fear of his career being dead in the water if he didn't, what with how corrupt the world they lived in was. As you can surmise ,this is where his obsession with the concept of justice and the inspiration for his character came from. He wanted to express how he felt on the inside, albeit in an exagarated manner.
@Filip Vadas Okay, I just read his wiki page and it said that he's not a dirty cop but an overzealous one to the point where he would if he could arrest people just for looking suspicious. And since the world they lived in was a complete shithole good cops couldn't really do their jobs properly so he looked for a place where he could impose his own ideals of good and righteousness, like Ygdrassil.

Due to the harsh reality, he was faced with, he and other officers alike have tried to go looking for justice somewhere else from the real world" Also from the Overlord wiki
shaltear having lifesteal attacks is really OP. even in game characters when facing other role classes that doesn't have lifesteal vs that have one.lifestealer enemy will most likely to win a fight because of sustaining HP. that why shaltear can beat sebas, cocytus and albedo that has a role of fighter, burtstdamage and tank. i think sebas skills is base on selfbuffs to enhance his defense and offense to win a fight just like how balance his stats is. or his skills are based on CD(cooldown) that he can rapid fire his skills or martial arts without the use of mana.
0:53 He's also her direct superior, Sebas is like the guardian of internal management, being the maids, buttlers or similar positions, I think it might include the chefs and the likes but not sure since it was never talked about who's the direct superior of those. It's like Albedo is the prime minister, Demiurge is the minister of defense and Sebas of internal affairs in a sense. Pestonya is the second in comand after Sebas btw, but her influence is more limited, to only the maids, that was clearly stated. 19:20 It was betrayal, and as far as I remember he acknowledged it as well, it was more of how bad it was. I would also like to say my theory of inner/outer ki based on what I know from other pieces. One would be related to the persons physique and the other would be more "mage" like, bringing out the the energy inside oneself, like making a ki sword, ranged attacks or affecting the surroundings. There were multiple points I had some disagrements with but overall it's a nice vid and there's also the major part of most info can't really be confirmed, so I would like to finish with these last 2 points, 1 he's not a true dragon, probably, this is for 2 reasons, in the game true dragons were apex creatures, so it's unlikely that players were given the chance to use that power themselves so easily, Rubedo for example was made using a world item (probably), meaning that a HUGE investment was made in order for her to have the power that she has. The second point is that he doesn't seem to have enough racial levels to be a true dragon, from what I think, might just barely have, but I think maybe 35 levels in race would be needed for him to be a true dragon. Difining that he's of the dragon race, a true dragon as well as the dragon type. Much like Demiurge as Imp followed by Archdevil. Heteromorphs racial levels reveal the progression until their final form, the higher the life form the more levels are required, a true dragon would be one of the highest types, even Momonga which is one of the 3 highest liveforms among the liche family (the overlord race, who specialize in death magic, along with summoning magic as complementary), if I remember correctly, needed 40 level points, at least 35 of those for the complete overlord racial spec. That's not even mention if he was a complete true dragon, transformation into that form would not cost anything, since it would actually be is true form, which would be broken, game wise, like what I said above.
Another example of the officer & servant characters are Frodo and Sam. Tolkien pulled from a lot of events in WW2. The dead marshes are taken from accounts of dead men floating in pools of water that formed on the battlefield.
There's a bit of Truth in fiction regarding Sebas. In order to become the head butler for Windsor Castle (British Monarch residence), military service is a requirement. The current head is a retired Admiral of the Royal Navy if I remember.

He played a monster race, but was a literal knight in shining armor who believed in justice and kindness
Whereas Ulbert played a pure evil villain that loved the theater and showmanship of being an absolute thorn in everyone's side. (Perphaps not on the level of Lucifer, another member of the Guild, who would frequently prank the other members but still)

Hi my ban is ray
I agree, someone needs to start making Yggdrasil already
Who knows someone may already be on it!
To an extent, this is basically D&D. You can take dips at any class, although there are no secret classes and you can´t level up races.
@@Proud_Knight I think if Yggdrasil was made it would likely be rather polarizing in that most people would either love it or hate it
With things like items that are so powerful they can literally warp and change the entire game (World items) though of course they are also really awesome and something for players to strive to control and hoard
Heteromorphic races generally having access to racial classes which was "balanced" around the fact that they were PK to hell and back again because of certain classes supposedly requiring killing them. Which is arguably kind of bad game design in that it isn't very fun to be ganged up on and PK
It seemed like a game with a lot of overpowered stuff but most of those things also had weaknesses that could be exploited if you came prepared for it... which would likely put off a lot of players who smack into one of those things without being prepared for it and feeling like it is unfair bullshit.

Wow
Sebastian really fits the word venerable.
Thinking about it I've heard that turkey sent a declaration of war to japan in WW2 and didn't take it seriously or denied they're declaration or something.
@@YeviCoulson Reflections of Turkey´s Declaration of War to Germany and Japan in the National and Foreign Press (23 February 1945)
Turkey did not actively take part in the World War II.

I watched that as a kid
What an amazing in-depth video on Sebas from Overlord. I can see how much work you have put into it. Thank you very much for the video!

40:10 Didn't the LN imply that even in his true form, it's not enough to defeat Albedo in her armor since she'll still outlast him?
Correct. As Albedo herself also has a "final form" that we haven't seen but has been alluded to.
What i remenber :
* cocytus : glass canon specialized in offense
* albedo : tank specilized in defense
* sebas: balanced between offense and defense.
yes... because Albedo can take a pounding... (hahaha) in reality though anything could happen. They have so many items that can do so many things that are unknown due to how the new world and their sentience works that it's only really known about their basic skillsets. Albedo using that world item/weapon could be different than when just using her axe for example.
Also Albedo has her world item
Not sure about the LN but according to the wiki his True form is stronger than either of them.
2:05 some excellent pictures here.

With him being a Dragonoid, so many things make more sense...
the intimidate that he used on Kline is very similar to an ability dragons in D&D have called 'Frightful Presence'
his since of justice is very in line with the Silver Dragon from D&D as well
Based on the limitations of how the other NPCs are made, I think it would be very easy to see him as equal to a Young or Adult dragon in terms of D&D, but instead of being a dragon having Shapeshifter to appear human, he instead appears human normally and has a type of True Polymorph that allows him to become a dragon in some regard.

Also the trope of monks being sometimes able to have a proper scrap, comes from a group of i think it was buddhist monks, during the sengoku jidai, it's quiet nice to see such a miniscule 14th century sect of monks become inspiration for a trope multiple centuries later, worth reading up on.

@@kaimagnus5760 forgot that part, a very fine addition
Then I found out he's a dragon of some sort, icing on the cake.

one significant consideration regarding sebas stats is somewhat related to something I've been picking up on which is dragons have like mad presence, and considering sebas was made by a guy who was likely a powerbuilder maximum, he likely found some weird interactions between inner ki master and draconinc power skills, creating our climb scene
He feels like a main character on his own when he can already one shot very enemy he encountered so far and he also did a damsel in distress cliche
Thank you for finally answering what Sebas is as he’s obviously over powered for a normal human butler, and I don’t think there are any normal human characters in the great tomb. You mentioned dragon blood characters and it reminds me of the old video games for Dragon Quest and breath of fire.
I really like all overlord characters all of them have something about themselves that just really interesting
Bahamut, the platinum god of metallic dragons, will at times manifest as a wandering monk in the Forgotten Realms. remember when sebas said there were only 41 stronger than him and as it happens there are 41 members of the guild
Character name: Sebas Tian
My brain: Sebastian

Good speculation mate, I kinda agree with you
I have to say, if Touch Me made Sebas' face to look like his own then he was one handsome mothafuka 😂

What I find interesting, and somewhat ironic, is that Sebas is stuck in the same position as his creator in the real world
An honorable and empathetic man, forced to follow morally questionable or even downright reprehensible orders for one reason or another.
@@filipvadas7602 I dont recall that ever being implied, but then again it has been awhile since I read up on him.
@@blazer168 "However, in the World of 2138, with the system of government no longer functioning as it used to, his IRL position as a police officer simply became just a job in name only. Due to the harsh reality, he was faced with, he and other officers alike have tried to go looking for justice somewhere else from the real world"

shaltear having lifesteal attacks is really OP. even in game characters when facing other role classes that doesn't have lifesteal vs that have one.lifestealer enemy will most likely to win a fight because of sustaining HP. that why shaltear can beat sebas, cocytus and albedo that has a role of fighter, burtstdamage and tank. i think sebas skills is base on selfbuffs to enhance his defense and offense to win a fight just like how balance his stats is. or his skills are based on CD(cooldown) that he can rapid fire his skills or martial arts without the use of mana.
