President Joe Biden is expected to address graduating cadets during West Point’s commencement ceremony.
Biden will speak to about 1,000 cadets graduating from the U.S. Military Academy on Saturday, according to Reuters.
It will be his first time delivering the commencement speech as president. Biden previously delivered the commencement speech at West Point twice while he was vice president.
Biden will continue to make appearances throughout the holiday weekend. He is expected to participate in the Memorial Day services at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, according to Reuters.
Vice President Kamala Harris made history as the first woman to deliver a commencement speech at West Point last year.
Former President Donald Trump was the last president to speak at West Point’s commencement in 2020.
West Point was established in 1802, according to the academy’s website, and is considered the nation’s first military academy. Notable graduates of the academy include Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Gen. George Patton and former Presidents Ulysses S. Grant and Dwight D. Eisenhower

I cannot believe that West Point chose Biden to be their commencement speaker. That really says a lot about West Point and what they stand for. I no longer think of West Point the way I used to.
Instead of West Point they've become Woke Point which eventually leads to what's the point. 😝
The commencement speakers rotate between the president, the vice president, the secretary of defense, and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff between each of the service academies. And if you don't think that West Point and the U.S. Army should support the Commander in Chief, you should seriously reconsider how your political views align with your belief in our nation.
