Another absolute banger video. Marcus Flemmings does not miss. I don't know if you consider video games for your videos but the game Star Wars The Old Republic has some of the most impressive fights ever seen in Star Wars. A lot of people consider the animations in the game to be a better Star Wars movie than a lot of the Star Wars movies themselves

Please please please talk about *"No Mercy!!!!!!"* It's a 2019 Korean action film. *It's so grounded, brutal, and the fights are so creative!!!!!!!!!!!* You won't be disappointed man!!!
You absolutely have to talk about the fights in Bloodhounds ! I don't like k drama but this one has the best fight scenes Ive ever seen in a TV show, it really has a focus on traditional boxing and it's legit crazy
Warrior and Into the Badlands have some great fight scenes. Also the french movies District 13 1&2 and Yamakasi. By the way the french movie Rogue City is excellent.
You alreay talked about so many of my favourite fight scenes and more that it's getting really hard to come-up with a new suggestion. Have you done Netflix's Daredevil and the great use it makes of his powers? Have you done Anime? If not, it's probably for a reason but there are plenty to cover. The use of the elements and fighting styles are very creative in Naruto and The Last Air Bender series and sequel. The next live action movies I can think of are more obscure. Have you seen Tsui Harks's "The Blade" ? It has a unique fighting style. Or even weirder: the Hong-Kong Movie "Operation Scorpio ?" It's pretty bad but the fight scenes have a lot of creative ideas.
So the thesis of this episode is that good fight scenes are happening on TV more than in movies nowadays? My guess is that bloodless punch ups are kinda boring in a world of superheroes. If there’s going to be a fight, even if it’s a flawed one, it has to be brutal to be noticed.
You should have a look at the forest fist fight in Mr Inbetween - that show just feels so amazingly realistic and that fight demonstrates "not the size of the dog in the fight"
My only complaint about the Mission Impossible fight in the backstage of a theatre is that there's a shot of Pegg's character using a control desk to move a piece of set... it's a lighting desk (GrandMA2). Totally broke the reality for me, but admittedly is an incredibly niche criticism 😆
My friends and I actually discussed the ending of Whiplash quite a lot and we all agreed on one thing. During the entire film, Andrew worked hard to earn Fletcher's respect and we first thought he finally did at the end. But that's where we were wrong. During one scene at the club, Fletcher told Andrew about a musician who overworked so hard only to earned a simple praise, a "good job". At the end of the film, it became clear that Fletcher won when he said "good job" to Andrew and Andrew was completely manipulated into thinking he finally earned Fletcher's respect. It was nothing more than an illusion to give the audiences hope that the main character won. It was the villain, in this case Fletcher, who actually won.
@hamzterhero love this! But I don't think I agree - I could be wrong. But that would mean that he won twice...when he tricked him and then when Andrew rose above it. Which, narratively, makes no sense with the way the scene is shot. It's shot very bombastically. Love the comment though!
@@MarcusFlemmings What you're saying is also true. Narratively, Andrew did win at the end in a very flamboyant way. On the other hands, in our personal views on the ending, and perhaps looking beyond the ending in the film, that means Fletcher now got Andrew under his control with the key word "good job". We saw Andrew's dad watching from behind the stage and at that moment his fear of Andrew throwing away his life just to follow Fletcher's footsteps came true. And because of that, we believed that Fletcher won twice. I know this no longer has anything to do with good or bad fight scenes but that film has an incredible writing. We can discuss and argue about it and we could both be right and wrong at the same time in an entertaining way. Love your analysis on these videos and how you tackle the narration, the cinematography, and the choreography of the fight scenes. Thank you so much!!
Rick vs Shane: agree Leo vs Bear: one of the most brutal, breathtaking, visceral movie moments ever; hard to watch but in a good way Arrow vs Ra's al Ghul: criminally underrated; one or the most intense, high stakes hand to hand fights I've watched, never been so stressed and feared for protagonist Flash: first few seasons were soooo good but fell off a cliff Sheriff Hood vs Damen: haven't seen Tom Cruise: agree
I didn’t know Evans was involved in Gangs of London, but I’m not surprised at all. Matter of fact, I feel like a fool for not figuring it out sooner (mind you, I’d only watched some fight scenes on YT)
Honestly I think TH-cam creators have some of the best fight scenes, especially since many of them are professionals whose work isn't sabotaged by studios or directors who don't know how to edit a fight. Still waiting for the final fight of the anime film Sword of a Stranger.
An episode with more zombie fights would be nice. One lesser known TV show with fast zombies and nice fights is Korean "Kingdom". Especially the second season.
Hi Marcus, Mission Impossible III is one of my favorites from this series with that scene: Tom Cruise is tied to a chair while the bad guy is about to count down to shoot and kill his "wife". To the list of movies with the most brutal fight scenes I want to add two Asian movies: the Japanese The Ikki - Killer and the Korean I Saw the Devil. P.S. Did you already mention the other Korean Old Boy?
Best fights I ever saw in a zombie film was a french film called le horde (apologies if I've butchered the name). There were gun battles in there but the hand to hand scenes were really well done
I love Superman 3 as a kid obviously not as much as the first nor even the second. But I saw it quite a few times and thought the AI robot was pretty scary. The premise for the fight scene between Clark Kent and Superman is amazing. It might not hold up so well over time and I guess it's a bit ridiculous. But maybe not? Is it possible for Red kryptonite to literally split the persona and physicality of Superman? I don't know
@MarcusFlemmings People keep talking about Blade being the first Marvel movie. But what was the first Superhero movie to have lasting influence. Also one of John Williams greatest scores.
Can't remember if you have mentioned "Warrior" that show is filled with epic martial art fights or more accurately hand to hand fights. Also Banshee is a rough show, the details the show when someone gets hurt are "The Boys" levels with no CGI or very little.
For television fight scenes the Korean show Moving on Disney plus has some really good gritty fights. There’s a corridor fight at the half way point that’s definately worth watching. Probably the best I’ve seen superhero fighting done in a long time.
Glad you brought up Banshee. I think you may have missed what was maybe the best fight, Anna/Carrie vs. Olek (Season 1, episode 8). I also liked Arrow for about 3 seasons. It went bad when they had Oliver "change" into a nice guy. He was pretty hard core before then for a TV show. TV shows have a habit of changing a difficult protagonists or side characters into cuddle-bunnies. I hated The Flash and gave up early on it because (1) Barry could have made every episode about 2 minutes long by actually using his speed and disarming or incapacitating the villains rather than standing around, and (2) too many speedster enemy plots. Don't like or watch Tom Cruise's stuff (other than Edge of Tomorrow) because it goes to impossible or crazy set pieces which I'm not a fan of. The Bond movies fell into that trap until the reboot of Casino Royale and then fell into its own trap.
Since you have covered Invincible ;) Maybe you could look into the fist battle between Naruto and Sasuke in the final battle in Naruto Shippuden. Great fight. Feels much more real than most anime fights.
I'm sure his name is pronounced Raysh-Shal Ghul. Is action in TV better than movies or as good as movies? Depends. There's some shows with good action like Into The Badlands, & Daredevil but there some bad ones like Iron Fist at least from the 1st season & another show that just came out 2 days ago on Amazon Prime called Like A Dragon: Yakuza based on the Yakuza video game series. And i think Korean Shows have somehow better action almost hong kong style and some John Wick inspired. So if you're continuing the Video Game Fight Scenes, maybe check out MGS4 Snake vs. Liquid Final Fight both the cutscene and in-game. Dante vs. Vergil from Devil May Cry 1 & 3 & maybe its 2013 reboot. Maybe the God Of War 4 and Ragnarok fight with the stranger & Thor. And finally check out any Yakuza/Like A Dragon, Judgment & Lost Judgment scenes, and compare those to the live action adaptations such as Like A Dragon 2007 & the recent Amazon show. I think check specifically Yakuza 5, Yakuza Gaiden, Judgment & Lost Judgment final bosses for choreography & scene transitions as well as good music that goes well in the action.
Firstly, MASSIVE love for the superchat! Much appreciated! Also, Great suggestions....shall check them out...I've seen a lot of them already...there might be a video game episode again soon!
Invincible, Gangs of London and Jack Reacher? You spoil us Sir. I think we may have had the same childhood cause I haven't seen that Superman film since childhood and even I knew it sucked Lol. Please do a review of JUST the fight of Superman 3
hey man, just an idea but could be interesting. why not try looking at good fights made by individuals here on yt? some creators i think that make fantastic fight scenes woulld be cen0 and ichellor with the latter taking alot of inspiration from the former with his latest works, there are other fantastic animators out there but these 2 are really special in my opinion

Tommmmmmmmmmm!!!
GET YO HORROR FIGHTS FOR HALLOWEEN
Tomorrow's video :)
Stop running Tom sould be a T-shirt logo! another great BMFs vs GMFs
Can't remember if you have mentioned "Warrior" that show is filled with epic martial art fights or more accurately hand to hand fights.
Also Banshee is a rough show, the details the show when someone gets hurt are "The Boys" levels with no CGI or very little.
I'm once again asking you to put movie names in the description, or somewhere
Pop filter for the mic, my good man. Those plosives are poppin' pretty hard.
love your videos ! you should review the end fight scene in the movie GOON (2011)
For television fight scenes the Korean show Moving on Disney plus has some really good gritty fights.
There’s a corridor fight at the half way point that’s definately worth watching. Probably the best I’ve seen superhero fighting done in a long time.
Never heard of it! But shall check it out - nice comment! Stick around!
You should do a video on David Fincher's The Killer. It has only one fight scene but it was the most visceral and brutal fight in recent years.
Since you have covered Invincible ;) Maybe you could look into the fist battle between Naruto and Sasuke in the final battle in Naruto Shippuden. Great fight. Feels much more real than most anime fights.
I'll have a watch!
Ha! The Flash CGI makes it look like Power Rangers :D
haaaha Power Rangers is better!
You seen Killer bean vs Jet bean fight yet? That shit hit different dude. U gotta talk about the many details of that fight
now and today its a toss up between movies and tv show fights. Both can be absolute stinkers or pure gold.
100% more stinkers than anything!
This is Tom Cruise running vs Marcus Flemming, Vol 1
Invincible, Gangs of London and Jack Reacher? You spoil us Sir. I think we may have had the same childhood cause I haven't seen that Superman film since childhood and even I knew it sucked Lol. Please do a review of JUST the fight of Superman 3
Into the badlands. It had some great fights.
hey man, just an idea but could be interesting. why not try looking at good fights made by individuals here on yt? some creators i think that make fantastic fight scenes woulld be cen0 and ichellor with the latter taking alot of inspiration from the former with his latest works, there are other fantastic animators out there but these 2 are really special in my opinion
