This is the longplay of the Super Mario Bros. 3 game, originally released for the NES in 1988 in Japan, 1990 in the United States and in 1991 in Europe, and re-released in the collection Super Mario All-Stars, being a game that brought the games of Super Mario from the NES for the Super Nintendo.
The story begins in a period where, thanks to the efforts of Mario and Luigi, the Kingdom of the Mushroom was at peace. However, this same kingdom forms an entrance to the World of Mushrooms, where things go from bad to worse. Bowser sent his seven children to the different worlds to do their mischief as they pleased. There, each one of them stole the scepters of the kings and turned them into animals. It is now up to our fellow plumbers to retrieve the scepters and return the kings to their original forms with the help of Princess Peach, who communicates with the heroes through letters. All, however, was nothing more than a distraction so that Bowser could capture Princess Peach. With this "whimsical" story, we begin our adventure in the World of Mushrooms.
Unlike previous titles, in this game for the first time we have a map of each world to explore and secrets to discover, as well as inventory of items that can be used before entering the stages and items that we can win in mini games or in the houses mushroom Items ranging from simple mushrooms, even items that modify the shape of heroes, such as the Raccoon Leaf (which allows flying), Tanuki Suit (allows to fly and become a statue), Frog Suit (grants more agility in the water ) and Hammer Bros. Suit (lets you shoot picks at enemies), Flute (to advance stages), Cloud (to go through a stage without having to play it) and the Music Box (which makes the Hammer Bros go through them without having to face them).
This is the SNES version, included in Super Mario All-Stars cartridge with enhancements in graphics and sounds. Super Mario Bros 3 is one of my favorite games of all time and one of the best selling! There are so many secrets in this game that it is difficult to show everything, but all the video was done playing all the phases. Hope you like it. - เกม

And today, December 26, 2018, this video of Super Mario Bros 3 (version in the collection Super Mario All-Stars) has hit the mark of 1 million views. It was a completely unexpected brand for a channel like mine, of about 6,000 subscribers and that leaves me completely happy. I may not have shown everything I wanted to do in this video, but I played all the stages and soon I'll be making the video of the GBA version and I will try to show the secrets in a well organized way, as I always like to do. I thank all those who accompany my work, those who like it, and those who do not like it.

I love the fact that so many SNES games have graphics that still look great after 25 or 30 years. There are so many games that look good like the Mario games, Zelda, Mega Man games, Final Fight series, and Street Fighter 2. The fourth generation of consoles was a big step up from previous generations. Sega Genesis, Neo Geo, and Turbografx16 also have many good looking games.
I'm just as impressed with SNES graphics and sound now as I was 30 years ago when I played these games in my early teens. To me, the SNES 16 bit graphics, sound and gameplay were the perfect "sweet spot" of gaming. Not too primitive, but not trying to do too much. Simple, yet beautiful. Gameplay, sound and looks wise. I also enjoyed some of the PS1 and PS2 games but after that it got to be too much. Didn't feel like "games" anymore. Felt more like virtual reality or something. 2D gaming is perfection for me, and no system did 2D gaming better than SNES!

I'm 35 years old, and still play smb 3, on Nes or Snes it doesn't matter still one of the games of my life, my sons love it too. All Mario games are awesome.
This will honestly always be the best Mario game to me. It just captures the essence of Mario and Nintendo so well and it always makes me happy! I have great memories playing this game. (Thta's my opinion and I'm just one of many so it's okay if you disagree, I'm not trying to start and argument about which game is the best one, I'm just expressing my love
To me, it's always been a tie between this game and Super Mario World for SNES. Mario Bros 3 is the best on NES, and SMW is the best on SNES. Both are equally good in different ways though.
As a SEGA and Sonic fan, i must say i just agree with you.
This brings back wonderful memories, playing the game with my siblings and friends on a small CRT TV.

Super Mario all-stars (all the games from it) are those rare games that never ever age, i mean it's been what 25 or 30 years and i still remember it being exactly the same, timeless classics.

I used to play this and SMW whilst in hospital - got me through a lot of sad times. I particularly loved SMB 3, as I would warp continously back and forth through worlds 5 and 6, just to keep replaying those levels over and over...
The original NES- my first system. This is still my favorite Mario game of all time. They get bigger, they get more advanced, but the refinement of this title reaches 2d platform perfection. I love the 16-bit graphics and music of this version.

@@omara7680 The music is fine, it's not supposed to sound like a symphony orchestra, that's more for Square's RPG's, Enix's RPG's, and other RPG's for the console where it is more fitting. This is a whimsical soundtrack, fit the game well, even in 16 bit.

it always hurt my feelings when the mushroom tricked you and went the other way when you hit it out of the block
It's actually based on which side of the block you hit. Hit it towards the right side and the mushroom will exit by going leftwards, and vice versa.

@@chanakyaverpula5876 Leo is correct. furthermore, the one up shrooms actually travel in the direction you are facing when you hit the block i.e. if you are facing right then the shroom will go to the right.

It actually matters on which side of the block YOU are when the mushroom starts moving. It will move the opposite direction.

I loved the design of the levels and worlds in this game, I remember always drawing my own 2d levels while in school. Super Mario Bros 3 (in All Stars) was my first game ever.

Super Mario All Stars is one of my all time favorites for the Super Nintendo. I love the incarnation of this version of the original SMB trilogy remastered for 16 bit, 4th generation gaming. The visuals are so much better and the soundtrack is amazing. My favorite is their SMB 2 remake as I like the visuals the most in that one.

The original and the SMAS versions are both phenomenal games in their own right. That’s why it is my all time favorite game.

Mario 3 is by far the best Mario game and that includes all of the "modern" ones, which are copies of this game anyway. It's hard to believe Mario 3 and Super Mario bros came out on the same system.

Nah..you can't beat the original..but the graphics are pretty nice on this A.S. remake, I can't deny that. And yeah..I started out with the NES so for me, this one isn't nearly as nostalgic.

One of the best games ever. I found Worlds 7 and especially 8 to be very difficult and lost of lot lives in those levels. The only minor criticism I had, was that I wish Bowser's castle itself was a bit more difficult. It was significantly easier than many of the levels in World 8 to get his castle in the first place.

There are seven levels that you can find a white mushroom house by getting the exact amount of coins or more. Levels 1,3,5,7 you get a p-wing. Levels 2,4,and 6 you get a achor (that stops the airship from getting away when you failed).
World 5 is my favorite level. Loved the castle in the sky

I beat the game with 99 lives and it felt fairly easy ON THE GBA VERSION edit: and yes the gba version is the hardest edit 2: dark valley used to be: Castle of kuppa. Edit 3: I didn't make an error it actually said it that way
