    I worked in & later ran several inner-city Sydney pubs back in the day and would come across these types of blokes frequently; eloquently spoken, theatrical fruity voices and mannerisms however still down to earth and great raconteurs . They were often sons of working class families who benefited from the post-war boom in affordable education (in particular given to WW2 veteran's and their families) and obtained degrees in the Arts whilst still inhabiting their working class inner-city neighbourhoods (these same neighbourhoods of terraces and semi's now being strictly millionaires row these days). Funny, entertaining blokes who are now of a generation sadly quickly fading away.

    Him asking how a man who basically does a dine and dash (leaving without paying for his meal) would make that man an international criminal is almost as funny as the original video. In Australia it's customary to pay for the meal _after_ eating (in most establishments), so he likely got the half of a succulent Chinese meal and a part bottle of grape free.

    • @AdamFJH
      @AdamFJH 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@masondegaulle5731 I'm Australian and I disagree that it is customary to pay for the meal after eating. If the establishment has table service then the customer can sit at a table and order food and eat it before paying for but at a setting like that, the customer can also choose to order their meal at the counter, pay for it, sit at a table and eat their mean when it's cooked. Btw, my family use to own a Chinese restaurant and what I found is that most (...I'm pretty sure it's actually all) customers that want to eat by themselves pay for their meal at the counter first before sitting at a table to eat their meal but if a customer is eating with a group of people they usually sit at a table first, order, eat their meal and then pay. I think the psychology of the customers is that it is really inconvenient for a large group of people to wait in line to order their meal. In my case, if I am going to eat by myself then I will order at the counter if I know what I want to eat otherwise I'll go to a table and study the menu and order at the table...the only exception is at fast food restaurants like at Hungry Jacks (or Burger King for Americans reading this) in which case you have to always order at the counter.
