I just read the article in this month's Vanity Fair, Cary Grant and Randolph Scott were in love and lived together for 12 years! It's incredible, I'm still blown away at how Grant created this iconic character, Cary Grant, it was all fiction. Grant himself once remarked, "everyone wants to be Cary Grant, including me" Here was this closeted, uneducated, Englishmen who created one of the most enduring legends of elegant masculinity in Hollywood history. It must have been incredibly sad and painful to live that life of deception for nearly 50 years. The article states that the film studio gave Grant an ultimatum, leave Scott or loose your contract, he chose the contract. Grant states that Scott was never as committed as he was to the relationship, and they had trouble sexually for a number of years. Scott went on to marry and stayed with his wife of 40 years. Grant was married 5 times and always employed gay secretaries throughout his career. He attempted suicide a number of times, had nervous breakdowns, and took pharmaceutical LSD more than one hundred times. I don't think there's a more fantastical story in Hollywood history, I still can't believe it.
Grant once said that when you're young, you should experience the things you want and experiment with life. When he was older, he dropped that and got married and had a child. He did it all. Keeping quiet about it was required to survive.
My dear father in law was a young beautiful man in Hollywood at the time. He had romantic yacht dates with so many leading men. He met some of them at Scottys carwash
What ? Your father in law told you this ? Can you remember more details of what he told you ... especially names ... my parents had a number of books with all the old original Hollywood actors and actresses ... that a lot of people might not know but I would know some of their names . Please if you find the time , tell us more if you can .
@@gardensofthegods I remember a few names but his most special flame was pat Boone. He was especially kind and sweet to him and they had a very special relationship, beyond the usual. He said Pat Was very generous in every way. As a lover, as a friend, and loved giving gifts.
@@rhonni1624 rhonni , I honestly don't know if you're joking around and trolling or what . Haha I really can't tell . Cary Grant would have been a lot older than Pat Boone ... at least sold enough to be his dad . Haha ... I still don't know what to think really .
@@gardensofthegods they spent most of their eyes on a yacht to avoid prying eyes and loose lips. The gifts I know of were mostly clothes, a watch, and small romantic gestures. These were happy times for him. They were free to kiss, cuddle, and just be themselves. It was definitely a romance , however controversial
How DARE you look down upon us gays; you have some major karma to live in your next lifetime when you'll incarnate as a lesbian. if you don't like it, GET OFF THIS PAGE and mind your own business. Otherwise, apologize and get in step. LGBT souls are ACTUALLY more enlightened and advanced than you, and God ASKED us to incarnate this way on purpose, to teach bigots like you.

Mae West discovered him after spotting him on the lot. She allegedly said, “If he can talk, he’s my next leading man”
Loved him , his sexual preferences make no difference to me at all.

Grant was a gorgeous charmer with Mama issues. Who doesn't have issues? I hope he was happy more often than not. I adore him.
I THINK these Guys did what it took...
He so Handsome
This obsession of claiming dead people and historical figures as gay is ridiculous.
Ask his 4th wife with whom he fathered a child if he was gay.
Also his first wife, who wrote a book, said he was never gay -
Hellywood 🔥🔥🔥 run by bunch of fallen angels/ demons.

Unfortunately very true.
Don’t drop the Soap 🧼
He was an English man from Bristol
I think he had relationships with men and women. Who cares? He went on to have a very happy mariage to his last wife
I guess this AI ? Who says three sixty five dollars , instead of three hundred and sixty five dollars ... ?
I was told that he had other habits which I'd rather not share. 💀🤢🤮
Maybe other people knew this?
Fake History about Orry Kelly

The gov't hadn't manufactured the disease yet until the late sixties.
