That's right, well put. And we can apply it to our lives and be reminded of the positive impact we can have on those around us. Even if the show is finished, it doesn't have to be "dead" as long as we take the positive influences from FiM and apply it to our lives. Same can go for other fandoms, like Harry Potter.

Are we not going to talk about the beautiful symbolism of Luster Dawn's name? Both Luster Dawn and Twilight Sparkle's names have a word that means something shining (Sparkle and Luster) And both have a word that means a time of day (Twilight and Dawn), But Twilight usually means the dimming light at the end of the day, while Dawn is the beginning of a new day. So Twilight Sparkle symbolizes the end of one era-one STORY- and Luster Dawn symbolizes the beginning of a new one!

Exactly. Sunburst, Sunset, Starlight, Trixie Lulamoon, Celestia, Luna, Twilight Sparkle, Stellar flare, Firelight, Starswirl, Startrekker, Twilight Velvet, Night light, Luster Dawn. All the names where about something on the sky. Sunny Starscout is the new day. Celestia and Luna were the old days. Twilight ended the old days, Luster began the new days and Sunny Starscout representing the new day

Celestia (Sky) Luna (Moon) gave their day/night era to Twilight Sparkle. Solar Flare and Sunburst could be in family with Sunset Shimmer (Day Sun related) Firelight and Starlight Glimmer are related (Fire in night) Trixie Lulamoon (Night Moon related) Twilight's parents are named Twilight Velvet and Night light.
Luster Dawn is the dawn, and opposite as Twilight Sparkle. And Argyle Starshine and Sunny Starscout are also star/day/night and sky object related. Makes sense

I love how Fluttershy now wears her hair. Before she was always hiding in it, or least half her face, now after so long shes' a much more outgoing pony. Also, you mentioned Granny Smith's scarf was on AJ, but it seems like Apple Bloom inherited Goldie Delicious's.

Wow your speech about the show itself being a school of friendship for all of us, and this being our graduation day was beautifully said. Hit me right in the feels. Loved this epilogue, I think it was the perfect end to such a fantastically written show.

When you realise that the entire story was just Twilight going through the book of memories her friends gave her after they're gone. I cried. Also AppleDash and LyraBon.

There actually were plans in the original script to have Discord kiss Fluttershy goodbye when she joined everypony else at the council, but this was axed.

My favorite part in the ending montage was seeing Sunset Shimmer. They already all but confirmed EG was canon with the main line series with Starswirl banishing the sirens to the Human world, but it was great that they added her in as that little nod to the spinoff series.
I really wonder if twilight and her still see each other whether if it’s through twilight coming to the human world or sunset coming to equestria
its been nice, growing up on this. When the book closed it felt like my childhood went with it. College is coming soon for me... i'm no longer the little girl who watched since season one. I wish you all who watched with me from the beginning a spectacular future. Its been a wild ride. Lets close the first book, and write our own going forward.

This is one of my single most favorite episodes in not just season 9, but the whole entire series and even now i'm still amazed and impressed with how much the Mane 6 and all the other characters had accomplished in the finale, and many people may not think so, but i for one think the fim series ended on a good note, but even so all i can say is-"Farewell MLP FIM, you will be missed so very much, thank you for everything."

Knowing that Granny Smith and Goldie Delicious are no longer around hit me hard. I'm going to miss this show so much, having grown up with this fandom was such a beautiful gift. The fact that in the first episode the book opened with Luna & Celestia, and closed with Twilight and her friends at the end.. Im crying. I'm convinced that Twilight's top student Luster is Starlight and Sunburst's daughter. Another thing is so great that Spike is now a whole Chad and Twilight is full on Celestia. It's also great to see Tempest & Capper once again. I just want to say a collective thank you to Hasbro and the fandom I love, this is truly an era I'll never forget. #Bronies4ever 🥺💕

@@sadlobster1 it's hard to say just how much we shrunk. We tend to be rather reclusive at times. But at least 25 percent of us have left. If I had to guess it's closer to 50-60

I still tear up the final song, I still will miss Mlp FiM and never forget the impact that it has had on many people's lives, mine included, but we all have to exept change and maybe G5 will be as good as this generation was for all these years, and for now we will have to live with Pony Life which in my opinion isn't so bad. Everyone has to go through change, good or bad, it's up to the person to except that change, I have excepted it and will never stop loving it.
Thank you, Mlp G4, the writers to the show, the voice actors and actresses, the animators, basically everyone who worked on the show, the fandom for creating new ideas from this show every day, and finally thank you Lauren Faust for starting this wonderful generation!

And so, one of the best animated shows we’ve ever seen has come to a close and what a way to conclude G4 of MLP! I appreciate that we were able to see what happened on Twilight’s second coronation, it was a good way to see how things would turn out in everyone’s future. Speaking of which, I really like how everyone looks now, and how each one is living their lives at this point. For example, Twilight looking gorgeously regal, Pinkie and Cheese being a couple (with a foal of their own), Fluttershy and Discord living together as well, Gallus being a Royal Guard member, the list goes on. Also, I like Luster Dawn, she’s a nice character. A nice fill in for Twilight’s newest pupil. Of course the best sequence in my opinion is with the last song of the show. I still get emotional from all that transpires within this song (especially seeing all the collection of characters of the show in the background, behind each of the Mane 6), it makes me smile a lot and I love it! And having that MLP theme jingle at the very end, with the ol’ book from episode one closing on the last shot of our Mane characters, that sealed the deal in the best way possible! Again, a beautiful way to end the FIM series!

Thank you, Applegeek. You were the first MLP reactor I've ever subscribed to, and without you, I would have missed out on a lot of the wonderful things this fandom has created. For three seasons now, I've been saying that I don't consider an episode truly watched until I also see your commentary. Always thorough, always insightful, always touching. Now that your final MLP:FiM reaction is here, a part of me almost doesn't want to watch it, because it would be the final confirmation that G4 is over.
However, as the Humane 7 put it, few things last, but friendship carries on through the ages. Even with the show gone, the fandom is here to stay, and we'll never forget the impact the show had on our lives, and the lessons it taught us.
Applegeek, I wanna personally thank you for these MLP FIM reactions. With each one, you somehow manage to make every video enjoyable! From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank you for all the shared laughs, reviews, etc. You’re awesome, my friend!!

I know it’s been years since the show ended and I just caught up but what you did all those years reacting to this show and what it taught you showed me that while things end our friendship and our happiness can continue. Lately I started watching G5 and I would encourage you to as well. You of course don’t have to post more videos or anything but give it a watch it might surprise you. I do miss you and your videos but I know our lives will continue and we will find new shows to watch. Oh, my soul. My heart. This was a great epilogue for such a great story. It has shown us quite a lot of lessons on friendship that is sorely lacking in this fallen world we live in.

A lot of people will think this trend of us watching a kids show a bit odd, or weird. I will say its Unique. The fandom has grown into a big community, one I'm not ashamed to be a part of.

First of all, you can count ME as one of the many who cried during the final moments of the episode.
Second of all; if you want to look for new shows to react to till Gen 5 comes out, I may have some ideas

The cycle continues with Twilight bringing a new student to Ponyville
One last final song
Cheese Sandwich and Pinkie Pie ship, which while I always shipped, seems odd to me, that they did it the way they did it in the series, but I'm not complaining.
Also you see Applejack and Apple Bloom wearing Granny Smith and Goldie Delicious neckerchief, pretty much saying that they're dead.
Showing Fluttershy and Discord together. Seeing Applejack and Rainbow Dash together, some have argued that they're just roommates while others argue that they're together. Just the way that they act, it seems like they're together/together as opposed to just living together.
Seeing the Cake twins all grown up, or as teenagers was very nice to see.
Seeing the student 6 grown up was also nice, looks like some of them might be teachers at the school, which is cool. Looks like new breeds are also at the school, which is neat as well.
Just overall an amazing journey.

Theories from this episode include that AppleDash, FlutterCord and YonaBar are official, and that Luster Dawn is the daughter of Starlight and Sunburst (which apparently is what Josh Haber planned!). Another sad theory is that Twilight WILL outlive the rest of her friends, except Discord, the Princesses (and possibly Spike). And some of my own fun ship theories include Diamond Tiara x Silver Spoon, Ocellus x Smolder and Gallus x Silverstream (by process of elimination). Also, apparently Sunset Shimmer is bisexual... huh. They really came out of the closet this Season...

Not necessarily. They never confirmed nor denied that the rest of the Mane 6 weren't immortal but still stick by the claim Twilight won't outlive her friends.
So either NONE of them are immortal or all of them are, because if she isn't immortal and won't outlive her friends, Twilight would be the first to die.
And just because the rest of them look older by the finale, doesn't mean they aren't immortal. It just means their immortality took a while to kick in and halt their aging process and leaving them in the state we saw them at in the finale

The only characters that we have known to be immortal are Celestia, Luna, Discord, and we have pretty strong arguements for Tirek and maybe Cadence and Flurry Heart. Then you have characters like Sombra, the Pony of Shadows, and the pre-humanized Sirens, who probably could have been 'immortal', but not necessarily 'unkillable'. We all saw what happened to the King of Crystals at the start of Season 9, the Sirens/Dazzlings are now living in a land without magic without their own magic, which would have included immortality, and the Pony of Shadows could still be considered alive in Limbo, but he's been erased from existence. Btw, the Pillars are characters that I didn't include because time stood still in Limbo, so from their perspectives at least, they haven't lived any longer than they should have. Starswirl and Mistmane could be considered, though.
Then, we have the dragons. I don't believe they're immortal, but they certainly could have an extended life span, possibly centuries long. Which leads to something that not many people have talked about (at least as far as I've seen): that even if none of the Mane 6 are immortal and Twilight doesn't outlive the others, then Spike certainly would outlive them all except Discord and Smolder, which in my opinion, is just as sad.
Finally, the 'prophecy' that Twilight will not outlive her friends mightn't really mean what we all initially assumed it did. Consider this: instead of looking at it as 'Twilight will not outlive the Council of Friendship', think of it as 'Twillight will not die without friends alive to continue her legacy'. That could mean that as the years pass and the original CoF pass away, Twi continues to make more friends, or it could mean that the may outlive some of her friends, but not ALL of them. Tia, Luna and Discord all view Twilight as an equal now, so it isn't hard to assume that they could be considered as friends, and since they're all immortal, it would be impossible for Twilight to outlive those three.
Of course, I'm just spitballing here. I do like a good discussion. Speaking of which, if the rest of the Mane 7's days are indeed numbered, in what order do you think they'd go? I'd probably say Dash, AJ, Pinkie, Starlight, Rarity, Flutters. Feel free to share your thoughts too.

I am honestly going to be giving Pony Life a chance.
Yes, there are some similarities one can make between it and Teen Titans Go with the description, style and way the characters will be acting.
However, here is why I feel it will be liked: MLP FiM ended completely BEFORE Pony Life came out.
The only reason Teen Titans Go got such negative backlash from the original fans was because Teen Titans season 5 ended on a cliffhanger, with more questions than answers and everyone had been waiting for those answers and Go was such a slap in the face that it was understandable it got such negative backlash.
Pony Life, however, does not have this caveat, as FiM was given a proper sendoff, with all 5he necessary loose ends tied up.
I am certain, while some won't enjoy it as much, Pony Life will become a welcome addition to the MLP fandom.
Plus, if nothing else, at least we know Pony Life isn't going to dedicate multiple whole episodes to outright mocking the fans of FiM like Go has done often to the OG Teen Titans fans.
Pony Life will actually have respect for those who brought it so far
I dislike Pony Life for the sole reason of them replacing Discord's voice actor. Discord was literally inspired by Q from Star Trek, who was played by the same actor, and he was absolutely perfect for the role. Big Mac's voice actor tried his best, but he didn't even get close.
My reaction to the episode, I broke down SOBBING. Like, this was so perfect, and so bittersweet. I could NOT keep my composure. STILL CANT.

I've put off watching off the last episode of the series until just now. And oh my god the tears that flowed from my eyes. I have met some of my best friends through our connections to this series, and this show has helped me through some of my darkest most depressing times, and has also taught me so much in the process. I'm sad to see the series come to and end, but excited to see the future of both the show and the future of the fandom, and how strong we will continue to go on, and how our friendships will better the world and defeat the odds, no matter how little or big.

We very much are THE Council of Friendship, meeting up anywhere our friends are. Both non-brony and brony friends. Whether it's next door or half way across Equestria, our friendship will grow. Now I'm hoping to see any cameos for Gen 5, either a quick one or a full scene. But I was blinded in tears from that last song and the book closing, ending this era.
I know how you feel AG, I too felt heartly emotional from all of this. But here is what I like to say. Even though an era is over, a new chapter begins. We will miss them but as long as we keep the Magic of Friendship they taught us within our hearts, we'll see them again someday. No matter where we are, no matter how far we go or who we are, we will always keep friendship alive. Here is a little line I made to remember them by and I hope you like it too,
“ As long as our flames of unity in hearts burning like the Sun, may the Magic of Friendship unite us all till all are One."

Forreal as a person that was 13 when season 6 has been released i started loving it from there and now in 2021 I'm 18 had some much love for this show I cried to when it had to end but all good things eventually come to an end

Then at 16:56 I thought he would be excited about Appledash being confirmed, but he was too focused on Rainbow's hair and Granny's death. And at 21:36 I thought he would be concerned about Applebloom wearing Goldie Delicious's scarf, but he was more concerned about the CMC's being teachers.

Sometimes, watching how people are affected by this family makes me kind of regret not getting into this fandom back in 2014.
It was a time where I felt great shame in myself and I refused to watch the show despite me enjoying the art style and some of the characters.
Now, here I am, only recently getting into franchise in 2019.
Same here. I also stumbled across this show back in 2014, back when I was a freshman in high school, so no way was I gonna let them know that I like a show meant for young girls. I only got back into it recently when I heard that FIM was coming to an end, and have been binge-watching it ever since. I think people have become a lot more accepting of bronies/pegasisters now though, and this fandom will live on. Can't wait for the 2nd movie and G5!

I was so heartbroken when the show ended because this show started when I was 6. I am now 14 and it’s hard to see a show you grew up with is coming to an end. I was crying so much which may be immature but if you watched it as you grew up it’s understandable... 😢

It was a great sendoff, and it doesn’t go anywhere. The G4 MLP legacy continues to become popular in China, and the show would be #1 in China for the Chinese dub.
It all started with a wonderful story of things to come. It ended with a wonderful story of which things had come. Although the G4 series is over, we still have videos of the episodes to watch over and over, and relive those memories. As it was said in the song, this is where the magic happens. And as a famous storywriter, Theodore Geisel Seuss, once said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
