- Fabledom is a fairytale-themed city builder, where we get to build a city in a world of witches, giants and flying pigs! Also, in true fairytale style, we are searching for our one true love because there's a spot of romance thrown into the game too!
We found our settlement of Geekvale (it's back, hurrah!) and get working on the basics, such as roads, farms, lumber yards, all that kind of stuff. There's a nice touch when building homes because you get to not only build the house itself but then you build a yard for the house and populate it with special items like dog kennels, washing lines and chicken coops!
Soon enough we're building more advanced things, like inns and stone mines, and our settlement begins to flourish. We even get round to building a little theatre stage!
With our newly constructed messenger centre we're able to send a message to a nearby Kingdom where we get to have a chat with the Princess of our dreams! To be nice and kind, and to show her that we like her, we send her some... vegetables. She's into that apparently.

This looks so pretty and actually fun. All those little attention to detail things too. I love things like that. My desk got a little splattered with hot chocolate though at 'it's raining, just pop your head outside and go ahhhhhh' Only you Penge in your inimitable style. Never stop.

About time someone made a city/town builder where house gardens not only exist but you get to fiddle with them. I haven't seen that since the old Constructor I think.
OMG I love it. Thank you for playing this; it would have passed me by on Steam (with my 300-long "to be played" list. I don't like shoes, okay? I collect other things. ;) ). Can't wait to check it out. :D
What a lovely game. It looks very pretty... seems fairly easy to play... and made me happy to watch you playing it (so would probably do the same when playing). Please do a series when this comes out in full.

I don't believe there are pigs or dogs in the coops and kennels, I did zoom in to look but there was nothing there so I cut it out!

Looks like Foundation, minus the more free-form building placement but with a more specialized cute graphic style.. hmmm im a fan but getting tired of forced grids. We have hundreds of city builders with forced grids, wish more new games moved away from that.

That's a very good point, I didn't consider that! I thought we'd been quite nice throughout the year, building homes and farms and whatnot, but maybe not! Coal for us!

This looks delightful. I think my favorite detail is the street theater people getting a fake audience. Gotta keep their spirits up somehow!

I know this isn't a tycoon, but most games I've played (Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon, Planet Zoo, etc.) use the P key for pause - not space.

Plays a lot like the Manor Lords demo. I really want to see the fairy tale aspects play out, that seems interesting.
