Game looks good! Nice gameplay. Head of household counts as a job as well; that's why when the last two people arrived, you only got one worker (the other one became head of household, since it occupied a previously empty house). You might want to add more spaces to your stockpile; because it seems it only stores one type of item per stockpile space, and you don't have one for coal yet.
I hate putting roads in a game. I think roads should be automatically generated like in frost punk. I would like it more for a game like this, they generate trails where the villagers walk.
I prefer automatically generated roads as it looks more natural. Building your own just leads to people just making straight lines in rows and you lose it being like a town or city

i was excited to try this game only to find out that the demo has no save function :| basically you can only see all the demo content if you never close the game very disappointing, i much rather would prefer a demo where most content is locked away but can still save, guess ill just wait for final release
Played the demo during Steam Nextfest and enjoyed it. Just wish it had a day/night cycle, I didn't realize days were ticking by cause the sun never set.
I love how Z realizes what the point of taxes are. Yes, you tax the people so you can maintain what needs upkeep. That is literally the point of taxes.
It is an oki game but z1 you keep growing without recovery. you cant be constantly building as they need time to build up b4 exspanding may kill off the city.
Hmm, now why would the game have placed all the female Fablings in the homestead with a washing line? The farm isn't that big; it's about 20% bigger than the minimum required by the tutorial.

Looks like there's a happiness stat (smiley icon next to population count) so I'm sure decorations affect that.
There was no green area effect on the decorations, so I'm thinking they don't do anything.

foudation and ostriv have this organic path making mechanic.
I like that too, but it's not really practical in a snap to grid based system.
