@@moreplatesmoretren9897 oh the Canon reference. In the animated series maul survived being cut in half mostly because of the dark side of the force: because he was just that big mad.
Kenobi probably told the kids that the Jedi would always protect them. After they escaped order 66, they probably went into hiding for years waiting for Kenobi and surviving Jedi as Reva watched each of her friends die. Being the last one alive she eventually gave up waiting and turned to the dark side vowing to punish Kenobi for his broken promise.
3:29 It’s important to remember the fact that Pau’ans (Grand Inquisitor’s species) have two stomachs. 8:36 The Grand Inquisitor does mention that Reva “came to [them],” implying that she joined willingly.
What if Riva is actually a mole from Saw Garerra resistance groups. Placed there to to get information and somehow kill Darth Vader. That's why she is hell bent on Obiwan to help her kill vader
@@robertmatthewson7381 possible, but she is a pretty good embodiment of the dark side just ruthlessly cutting down anyone like Vader does. Maybe Vader found a side piece after Padme?
Perhaps Anakin was the one killing the padawans, and Reva begged to be spared and promised to join the Dark side. Capturing Obi-Wan was her way to show her loyalty to Anakin. Which could also refer to Grand Inquisitor's comment about her 'came from the gutter', Reva is just like a lost stray puppy picked by Anakin.
The Grand Inquisitor was one of the temple guards that was at Ahsoka's trial and that's the first time he seen the Jedi in a different light. Also the Grand Inquisitor is a Pau'an and they have 2 stomachs so he probably survived.
@@JohnMackeyIII I mean, they threw away 30 years of Canon so yeah, I agree there. What gets me though is that they constantly steal things from "Legends" lore and call it their own but skew it to make it worse
Why does no one mentioned how her eyes haven't changed color. Notice throughout star wars lore that when someone falls to the dark side, their eyes turn yellow, Reva's have not. She is fighting inner demons but she hasn't completely turned to the dark side.
That's a great observation. She must be acting on vengeance then, instead of being under the influence of the Darkside. Perhaps that's why she rubs the others the wrong way, instead of falling in line. You may have just uncovered an unrevealed storyline.
I’ve been asking that since Ep’s 1&2 dropped, especially after the actress stated in an interview that Reva is the most ruthless “committed” of all the Inquisitors. (Unless it’s a play on words, “committed to what, exactly?”) If she’s truly the darkest, there is no reason her eyes shouldn’t be yellow.
@@rivendells_shona unless her commitment is to personal vengeance, which would have nothing to do with being on the Darkside. Maybe she's using the position of being an Inquisitor to search for Obi-Wan.
The grand inquisitor makes a statement in the show Rebels he says to Kanan, “ there are things far worse than death”! So he probably did die but was brought back!.
Well, technically he was afraid of Vader's power, and what he might do to him if he failed him. In the comics, the Grand Inquisitor's spirit was chained to the physical realm, that was done to him by Vader as his eternal punishment for his failure... in which Vader tells him that "he will remain in this state," and then the Grand Inquisitor's spirit repeats that same line, "There are some things far more frightening than death." This is in the Vader comics btw.
@@ikaros9467 Oh, I can't remember the specific comic. But the Star Wars Theory and other channels have whole explanation videos on it. You can look up "The Grand Inquisitor's spirit fights Luke" I think that's the title of Star Wars Theory's video, the comic should be displayed at the end possibly.
@@roger632 thats cool but has nothing to do with what im talking about! The point is is he the same guy that Reva just stabbed? We dont know because that WASNT in the comics!
@@eddieterrell5457 It probably is, or else they would be retconing the entirety of the Rebels series, and they can't really do that since the characters from Rebels are confirmed to be in the Ahsoka series. The Grand Inquisitor will probably just be brought to a Bacta tank and will recover there, and then he'll come out just fine.
One thing I have not seen mentioned is her ability to mind read. She seems to have a talent for perceiving thoughts, which could also explain why she knows about Anakin/Vader.
Good point. I’m glad she didn’t but wondered why didn’t she try and pull the spacecraft down as did Rey and Kyle Ren in one of their confrontations. She seems powerful. Intriguing. We shall see.
The Second and Seventh Sisters both wore helmets but occasionally went without them and had no discernible physical scars (emotional yes) Maybe giving her human face coupled with ruthless tactics makes her more monstrous
I think it's quite refreshing to have a very 'normal' looking villain, its a bit of a trope by this point (although well justified) that the Sith and other Dark Side force users appear evil, disfigured or enhanced by cybernetics.
Riva's backstory, I would wager goes like this: That is her at the temple, she escapes but does see Anakin killing jedi at the temple, so it's pretty easy to figure out that he's darth vader. She lives on the street or gutter for years but gets resentful that she has to, she approaches the inquisitors and joins. She hates Obi Wan because he's the lost symbol for what she could have been.
If reva could piece together That the guy in the big black suit used to be a Jedi turned sith named Darth Vader why can’t obi conclude the same exact thing. Why can’t obi sense anakin the way Darth sensed him on the Death Star in a new hope? How come in a new hope no one remembers the Jedi but in this it’s shown 9 years before the destruction of the Death Star that everyone and their mother knows the inquisitors only hunt Jedi?
@@MarvelousMusicmmusic why the fuck would obi wan do that? Think that would idk, hurt his chances to watch over and save Luke if need be. Plus, he is supposed to be training to become a force ghost. This is not the obi wan from ep 3 ending. He would never do this.
I had a feeling she would be killed by The Grand Inquisitor close to or at the end of the series. Now I'm thinking Vader could kill her or almost kill her leaving her somewhat disfigured or scarred, as retribution for revealing his identity.
simplier then that, Vader'll kill her around the end of.. gonna say episode 4 or 5 because "Obi-wan is mine" remember she's told outright by the grand inqusitor that "obi-wan is not for us"
I think one of two endings for her. 1. Vader or Obi Wan kills her 2. And its a stretch but she comes back to the light. She reacted to that Jedi symbol in that hidden room. Thats what I think
I have a feeling that she escaped the temple, however the younglings she was with are the ones that show up dead in the hallway in ROTS. She may have potentially seen Anakin being the one to lead the Clones into the Temple, and knew that he was trained by Obi-Wan, and put the blame for all of this on Obi-Wan as he in Obi-Wan's own words 'Failed him' and therefor doomed the entire order, her friends, and the Republic. I feel she was then living homeless on the streets of Coruscant, and was somehow discovered to be a youngling, but was taken in and was trained/brainwashed to become an inquisitor, where her hatred of Jedi, such as Kenobi only grew. This would explain why the GI says they 'found her in the gutter' I feel she want's Kenobi as a way to gain favour and also to satisfy her own hatred.
Same, but also that because she's aware of whom Vader really is and knows Obi does too that when Vader was training or torturing her she gained some of his hatred for Obi and episode 3's ending.
Why would they only brainwash her to have this immense hatred towards only Kenobi and the others doesn't share it who were also brainwashed? And also, the GI stated "You came to us from the gutter".
She could have gone willingly to the Empire as a self-sacrifice to save the other Padawans who were also fleeing the Empire; much like Cere Junda did in Fallen Order. They could have been cornered and Reva chose to give herself up to buy them time to escape.
I agree with you that she could have possibly seen Anakin strike down multiple Jedi masters or even Cin Drallig himself during their hiding/escape attempt. I also agree that the younglings could be the dead ones we see in ROTS, the bridge they're on is too similar for it to be a coincedence. BUT I think Reva killed them to appeal to Anakin IF they crossed paths during the attack or maybe Anakin found her as she was killing them and brought her in. The Grand Inquisitor said she came to them out of the gutter. What would be the gutter to the Inquisition if not the Jedi Temple itself, also i think it implies that Reva had it easier than the others which makes their distain for her understandable. Which would also reflect on Revas retort towards him that the stench is merely his failure. Because i believe the Grand Inquisitor actively killed Jedi during the purge too maybe missing her simply by chance.
@@Jay-ate-a-bug I think she killed them all in order to survive herself. The Inquistion doesn't just take you in, you have to show prowess and hate towards Jedi. You either fight Vader or a high ranking Inquisitor yourself and survive or be at least a slight sweat during the fight to even be considered if he doesn't kill you either way afterwards, or you do it like how i think Reva did it: Kill multiple Jedi, bring them and their lightsabers to the Inquisition and demand to join. EDIT: Remember almost all Inquisitors are missing limbs.
What if Reva as a youngling watched Grogu be rescued from the Jedi temple by Obi-Wan or whomever. And she was left behind for whatever reason. That could be why she hates the Jedi so much. This story could be interwoven with the rest of what's going on in the live action shows.
A human youngling during Order 66 would still be a teenager during the Kenobi series. Reva is too old to have been a youngling. If she was connected to the Jedi, she would have already been a Padawan during Order 66.
It would be great to establish Reva as Vader’s Dark Side apprentice. Hopefully she’ll survive this series and the war and become an antagonist for Ahsoka in her series.
@@edwardrichtofen8530 Palpatine allowed Doku to have and train Asage Ventres, then later Savage Oppress. I can see Reva and Vader training and then rising to kill Sidious which results in the death of Reva.
@@richardmcquade6658 Vader isnt a fool to have a apprentice like her. This only make sense if Vader wants to die. Trilla as an apprentice would make more sense but she is still weak. Only with Starkiller he would have a chance.
@@richardmcquade6658 Clarification: from memory Palpatine originally trained Maul while Plagueis was alive, he probably just let Darth Vader do a similar process with Reva from birth specifically tasked with finding and killing Obi-Wan under the guise of an inquisitor because otherwise Darth Vader would have still been trying to hunt down Obi-Wan and he'd never go anywhere near sand so it also helps to eliminate possible desert worlds he could be hiding on.
That makes the most sense. I was thinking when she says Lord Vader will be pleased, she can sense Obi-Wan's thoughts and she figured it right then. Her ability is being able to read into a person's mind or thoughts.
It was deleted. The best answer is she knew who Anakin was, as he was a noble general and warrior of the Jedi. Aaand she probably then seen Anakin butchering people in the temple, learning he was evil then two and two.. he's Vader.
@@stevenlyons4263 you know what they’re saying its sad people that people think they can hide their blatant racism behind “ i just dont like the writing “ she doesn’t deserve the hate bro
The girl in the temple is most definitely Reva, otherwise that opening, as awesome as it was, was totally pointless. I hope she's not redeemable, the troupe is old and getting stale. Good, complex villains need to stay that way. We need to know them, understand them, but ultimately we need to see them stay their course as a villain. As for how she knows Anakin is Vader, or if other Inquisitors know the secret, I think most if not all of them do. You said it yourself, most of the Inquisitors were former Jedi. It's likely that many of them knew Anakin Skywalker. Some of them, such as Young Reva or the Grand Inquisitor and maybe others, were possibly in the Temple when it was attacked and either escaped or joined Vader in the attack. In that case, they've have seen that Vader and Anakin were one in the same. So far I'm liking the show. The writing has been good, the directing has been good and the acting has been incredible. Rupert is playing the Grand Inquisitor beautifully cold and calculating. Ewan has of course been amazing and looks like he never left the role for 20 years. Vivien Lyra Blair has been the stand out role though as Young Leia. For being only 9-10 years old she's impressed me with how well she's captured Carrie Fisher but also keeping it her own role. And of course, Moses is, in my opinion, doing an amazing job as Reva. She's got that anger and menace down perfectly but also showing that she's unsure of herself and has that singular focus. Can't wait for the next episode to drop and see where things are going to go from here.
Law of superposition: i think it makes sense that she joined the inquisitors recently, but if their names are an indication of timing, that would mean brothers/sisters 4-whatever were all super recent which would be weird if they are holding her recentness against her
I have a theory. Why does Reva hold her stomach in episode 3 when the fifth brother forces her to bend over the inquisitor table? Is she pregnant and maybe the crest that she saw in the Jedi hideout from a Jedi she was in love with? I've noticed no one has mentioned the stomach scene
I noticed that too. You’re the only person I’ve seen attempt to explain it. She could be hunting Obi-Wan to try and find her lost Jedi lover. That would be an interesting path for the story to take. My only complaint would be that that would pull the story away from Obi-Wan. The show is named after him after all.
If Reva is Anakin's apprentice, then he's using her to fill the emotional void that Ahsoka created when she left the Jedi Order. She's ambitious, unorthodox, and doesn't like to follow orders, much like Anakin and Ahsoka were. She's probably meant to be a direct foil of Ahsoka, and I wouldn't be surprised if they retcon the Ahsoka novel and have Ahsoka obtain and purify her Kyber Crystal for her white sabers from Reva instead. As much as I love the Ahsoka novel, this is a retcon I think I'd be really happy to see.
If she were Vader’s apprentice I feel like there’s no way the other Inquisitors would shit on her so much. There would be a respect, if not fear of her.
@@JustAnotherBlader There's no way Sidious would allow Vader to have an apprentice, although I'm sure he'd expect it. Vader would have to train her secretly, in the same way that he did with Starkiller in the EU, or Dooku trained Ventress, or Ventress trained Savage Opress, etc. The Sith may follow the Rule of Two, but they always seem to have a habit of blindsiding their masters and overthrowing them with their secret Dark Side apprentices. Being a secret apprentice would also explain why Reva feels she does not have to bend to the authority of the Grand Inquisitor- she knows she has Vader's favor, but she can't reveal it.
I don't know about the idea that they look down on her because she became an inquisition after order 66. She has pretty much the same timeline as Trilla/2nd Sister and I don't recall anyone thinking less of her because of it.
It’s not unprecedented that Vader has a mole in the inner workings of the empire. I know it’s not a perfect fit but in the comics he hid his arrangement with Dr Aphra for his own personal gains
Thank you for making a positive video about Moses’ Ingram’s new character instead of all the sneering, petulance and darkness from certain SW “fans” on TH-cam who are loud and malicious to her
They want to hate so badly that they pretend they don’t understand that she not the actual character. A lot of these people are just unhappy neckbeards that go around crying as loudly as they can about being replaced in their favorite media and don’t even care about the franchise they whine about. Diversity is offensive to them.
Her older sister who had started the padawan training but she wasn't old enough yet. Her sister dies, she flees because her name is on a list of potential force users, and blames Obi for all of it because Anakin blames Obi for all of his losses too. "You turned her against me." "You did that yourself."
i liked reva being hard headed and independent and seeking power for herself because of what she’s been through. i look forward to learning more about the story.
Why would someone who has been tortured and conditioned to be a tool be independent? Doubt the empire wants them to be independent and palpatine and Vader certainly wouldn’t want someone who seeks to gain power.
Vader taking Reva under his wing to make up for the Ashoka mishap, then those 2 going at it would make for an interesting arc…the 2 fighting over the good/bad of Anakin/Vader
The Senate is still needed to maintain control, Palpatine doesn't dissolve it until the Deathstar is complete. Threatening or harming civilians will be seen as going beyond their mandate to hunt Jedi and kidnapping a Senator's daughter is WAY beyond that mandate.
@@biffyqueen That was my thought too when the Grand Inquisitor berated Reva for kidnapping an *imperial senator's* daughter. So I guess it's probably that they need to keep up appearances for the Senate. Interesting take.
@@khandimahn9687 Like others said, they might have wanted to keep Up appearances at that point. Don't forget this is 5 years before Rebels where no Rebellion was founded yet, so drastic actions could not be so easily warranted in the public
I hope we get more of her backstory visibly, like seeing Anakin in the jedi temple during order 66. another pov angle of some of the series darkest moments.
I thought of something while watching your video. I came to same conclusion about Obi-wan’s message making him the face of her being stuck on Coruscant without help. What I thought of during the video is maybe she wanted Obi-wan to take her as his next Padawan. Obi-wan taught Anakin who was one of the most powerful Jedi Knight of the age and of Reva had any ambition like she has now she would want to be taught by the same teacher. But then Obi-wan abandoned her and it fueled her rage and her turn.
I don't agree, I think Reva is after Vader for revenge. She saw Anakin killing in the temple, put two and two together when Darth Vader appeared. She joined the Inquisitors to get to him and she knows the best way to do that is to bring in Obi-Wan. She has gone full Dark Side and doesn't' care who she has to kill to reach her goal.
I think she’s wearing the brown outfit in the featured youngling group they played just before the first episode of Kenobi started. She is definitely out to get revenge on Anakin/Vader
I think you are close but no cigar. Reva’s group of younglings managed to escape the Jedi Temple and Order 66. But no Jedi came looking for them. Why not? Because it was Obi-Wan Kenobi who changed the Temple’s beacon to stay away from Coruscant. From Riva’s point of view, Kenobi abandoned the younglings, condemning them to living in the streets and gutters as beggars.
What if she doesn't hate Obi-Wan. I've had a thought that perhaps she's well aware of how much Vader hates him and as such is so driven to catch Obi-Wan to please him as a means to whatever end she desires. That could be becoming Grand Inquisitor or some other goal she has.
i think we’ll get a flashback scene of the young Reva seeing Anakin before the Mustafar duel being called Lord Vader in the temple during Order 66, she probably gets out of the temple as they say she was found in the ‘gutter’, so i think that means she was in the Coruscant lower levels trying to fend for herself, possibly friends who didn’t survive.
@@joedirt6073 yeah but hands are free on the Galactic NHS, Anakin got the buy one get one free discount before the Empire’s health and safety revolution.
I'm leaning two ways on this. I'm thinking she wants to be a full fledged Sith not knowing that Vader can not betray his emperor. Either that or she wants to get into a position to replace Vader.
Nobody Cares about the Character's Skin Color or Sexual Orientation. The Name of the Show is Kenobi. Not the Lesbian Diversity show. The Show is supposed to be about Obi Wan. Not about Disney's Gay Child Grooming Agenda.
@@onestopfunstop317 Yeah, I'm not buying that hype either. Whatever speculations I have, besides Vader, I think she is Kenobi's big nemesis. I doubt things end well for her, but she gives Kenobi the hardest time. Either that or Leia does.
I believe you are overthinking it. I would bet that she saw Anakin killing Jedi, and heard Palpatine calling him Lord Vader. That’s how she knows. And she escaped the temple but had nowhere to go. She lived in the gutters of Coruscant, getting angrier and angrier, preying on the weak around her… which brought her to the Inquisitors. She left at the chance to hunt down Jedi. The Jedi who failed her and abandoned her. She hates Obi-Wan most of all because he trained Anakin over the objections of the council, and Anakin went on to destroy them all, as the Council had feared from the start. She blames Obi-Wan for the destruction of her future. And she will try to revenge herself on him, and possibly on Anakin as well.
I like this link to the youngling scene, it adds depth to her character. I do wish she had some kind of deformity, she def seems a bit too fresh for someone who's been tortured and harnessing the dark side.
There is a channel that I don’t like listening to because they sound like the people who talk in movie theaters. Your channel is very informative and uses just the right amount of humor.
Possibly, but my thing is eventually Grogu is captured by the the empire, It's possible he was captured by the remaining forces of the empire 🤷🏾♂️ or sometime between Rouge1 & Empire 🤔🤷🏾♂️
i can just see the acting coaches teaching the children how to "act like they are running fast"... cause they aren't running fast. they run like a lifeguard is telling them "NO RUNNING"
Yep, makes sense. Good analysis. Thanks! On a different note, I can't believe it took only 2 episodes for another fake demise. Death in Star Wars has become so optional at this point that it has lost all its meaning. Disney still haven't noticed why George R.R. Martin is to sucessful: because he abolished plot armor.
i wish we ever get a series showing adventures of obi wan and anakin , there duo was so good to watch , wish they make a mini series on it each episode a different adventure or something like that
I'm starting to think Reva just trying to get Vader's graces so he lowers his guard around her and she tries to take him out. She had a negative reaction to him snapping that kids neck. Probably some PTSD stuff from her seeing Anakin kill her youngling friends at the temple. Just my theory.
@DarthKrickets416 I don't know about that. We all know Disney is not going to let a minority woman end as the bad guy also. She's going to have a redemption arc. I'm sticking with my theory
Two things so far could help predict the future of Reva, 1. She was told by Vader if she fails him she would not live to regret it and 2. Vader got his opportunity and left Obi-Wan....... this should cause enough conflict in Reva's mind to preserve self over loyalty
I feel like she wants to get an audience with Vader and try and challenge him and kill him because he killed everyone she knew and destroyed her life before all the torture and hate and whatever else they do to inquisitors to make them like that
I don't like that character at all, really just a annoying angry lady..I feel bad for the person who plays her. It isn't her fault she gotten this character. But still she shouldn't even be alive since she knows Vader real name and pass...Vader would have killed her.
It is the same group of "fans" who have already made up their opinion based on the fake leaks and haven't watched it. They hate it because it is the cool thing to do now. Same with those who hate everything from Phase 4 of the MCU. They hate it because it is cool and others are doing it. They may be right or wrong in their criticisms. Hell if I know. But they have cried wolf so much that I ignore them now
I'm honestly torn. How "big" her performance is feels like over compensation but I'm not sure if it's a directorial decision due to unknowns about her character... or she's doing it because she feels like she needs to. Then the show's pacing/editing aren't doing her favors when they had that intense parkour section broken up by Obi saving Leia, then it ending in her just meeting up with Kumail's character. The intensity and urgency felt like she had literal eyes on him and Obi was barely going to shake her. Instead it came off as her character being needlessly extra about it since she apparently wasn't close or had eyes on him???
My wild theory: She knows Anakin led the massacre of her friends as a child, but she didn’t learn about Anakin being Vader until recently. She wants revenge now, but can’t get close enough to Vader to try. That’s why she’s so passionate about finding Obi-Wan. Finding him and bringing him to Vader personally is the only way she can get close enough to the suspicious Vader to attempt her revenge. She’s not good, she’s not a spy…she is just so filled with hate that she will do anything to get to him.
I would like that twist, being warped by anger and hate seeking revenge on Vader not his favor. Then she's more complex than just brainwashed child gone evil looking to curry favor with big evil.
That would be an interesting plot twist and would explain her rogue behavior. I just wish some SW fans would tone done the vitriol and wait to see how the story unfolds. Too many harsh critics out there and we have only seen 2 episodes. I like your open mindedness and thoughtfulness to suggest that her character arc could actually be deeper than we see on the surface. Cheers!
My guess is that if she saw Anakin killing Jedi as a Child and pieced together Vader is Anakin she blames him for Vader and her being turned into an Inquisitor.
Also that opening saloon inquisitor speech about good isn't referring to obi wan, it's referring to revas as a Jedi ultimate redemption journey that I predict she will protect Lei and Luke's lives with her own.
Well ik this is unlikely to be true But, what if she escaped was able to avoid capture for years. Grew up tried sneaking in to the Jedi temple found the info on Darth Vader being Anakin. Knew Obi-Wan trained him so was mad about that but, was going to take that info public and was caught sneaking back out of the temple. From there tortured and turned to the Darkside and her goal is to kill Obi-Wan bc she blames Obi-Wan for creating Vader and eventually leading to the massacre at the temple and wants to kill Vader to undo the empire and take over herself.
I like your theory. I was explaining to my wife that most of the inquisitors are former Jedi who were tortured or into serving the Emperor. I hope Reva doesn’t follow the 2nd Sister’s arc TOO closely but the simplest possibility is that she somehow releases the hatred and anger she has for Obi Wan but too late. Either way, she is a bad ass character and I can’t wait to see more :)
Some of these 'fan sites' make a lot of money by hating on anything disney does. Typical situation of where 'bad news' sells. Some of it can be legit issues but when i heard these sites ragging on the show already calling it the leia and reva show after only 2 episodes i laughed...its just too obvious at this point.
Kinda hope she isn't redeemed. Not every ex-Jedi should be redeemed, it lowers the importance of not falling according to the Jedi. If everyone gets redeemed what is the fear of falling to the dark side?
She doesnt seem evil at all, completely fake. So my prediction is shes a mole and going to sacrifice herself to save Obi Wan or something. If shes gonna be the main baddy, this show is doomed cuz she really sucks.
@@dAeveFellows she is actively trying to murder random people and a Jedi had to use the Force to prevent it, which exposed him. She is constantly threatening everyone. Kidnapped a child on the off chance that Obi Wan might find out and come save her. But she isn't evil?

We've seen how the 10yo Leia is the only one who's able to get things done, right?
Thank you for making this video. Now maybe some of the "fans" can lay off of their disdain for Reva. She is awesome and the actress is doing a great job.
Maybe it’s a casting issue but is anyone else having issues with Riva’s apparent age and this theory? Don’t get me wrong, I think Riva is a great villain. If she is that youngling she looks to be 8, maybe 10 at the very most. Riva as an inquisitor looks to be in her late 20s.
I noticed how Reva an the fifth brother don't have sith eyes but the grand inquitor does. I also think the grand inquitor will kill Reva for her betrayal as she stabbed him maybe on or in fortress inquiries personally I think all the brothers an sister are talk an in walks the grand inquisitor looking at Reva an Reva looking at him as if to say I killed u then bam they Duel then he kills her but that's what I think an sorry about my spelling I hope u get what I mean tho.
This is by far the best show they have put out since 6th movie, better than 7, 8, and 9. It picks up where the real storyline left off. The actors are all excellent, the directing & writing is compelling, and it’s like watching a mini movie each episode. The level is so high, it’s insane. If only Disney had used the storyline George Lucas gave them for the final three movies, we could have closure. We will never know what could have been and it’s actually unfair. I wish he would have gotten it in writing they could not deter from his writings of the final three movies. What we got was someone else’s ending not Lucas ending his story. It least this new series corrects some of what was taken away from the fan base.
You totally did the Reva character justice despite all the know it alls hating on her. Congratulations and many thanks for such profound insight!!!👏🏼 (BTW, IF Darth Maul and General Grievous can survive and come back in a different form, so can The Grand Inquisitor). ‘Nuff Said!
I'm perfectly fine with the character. It's the actor who I think was a terrible choice. Doesn't have the chops to pull off this role. Her and the Grand Inquisitor were horribly miscast.
Her villainy is so over the top. It feels like her character is acting in a way a good guy thinks a bad would act. Dressing up like the bad guy to get close to the bad guy is done a lot in SW. I hope this isn’t another one.
If she’s a mole. She should apologize to the woman she dismembered. I don’t think moles will go that far. But hey maybe that woman was also a mole with a prosthetic hands. 🤷🏻♂️
Didn't Reva see some holo tapes possibly from the jedi temple that obi wan may have seen showing that anakin was Vader? That's the only thought I have as to how she may have known the connection. She may have stumbled across them while doing research on obi wan.
Hell nah. Vader only apprentice is Starkiller. Even if its non canon. She is a joke she cant just kill other inquisitors. I cant wait for the episode when Vader kills her. Btw Jedi Fallen order did a much better job with the inquisitors. Trilla Suduri is a much more interesting and better character.
@@martonk8858 So far. We might get a better picture of Reva in future episodes with flashbacks and such. Maybe if and when she finds and faces off against Obi-Wan we will get the whole story, because exposition during a fight is a given in every lightsaber fight it seems.
Bridge at 6:55 is same bridge at 6:47 where they find dead younglings and find out they were killed by a lightsaber. We'll probably see a flashback of the younglings from first episode crossing the bridge and getting merked either by anakin or by the grand inquisitor.
i think its as simple as Reeva, when escaping the temple like we see in Part 1 with the younglings, just happens to see and recognise Anakin who is then referred to as Vader by the 501st or something
I disagree that she's shaping up to be interesting. So far she is extremely cookie cutter Sith. Of course we barely know anything about her, but I think she's in the story purely to serve as a killable villain until Vader shows up. I think Disney will avoid making her too interesting to avoid crowding up the story (not saying this is the only way to accomplish this but it's certainly the easiest way).
big problem in your theory : she's the 3rd sister means she's the 3rd to join and therefor all of what you say after that makes no sense since the order was probably almost full during order66 unless not yet ...

Maybe giving her human face coupled with ruthless tactics makes her more monstrous
I think it's quite refreshing to have a very 'normal' looking villain, its a bit of a trope by this point (although well justified) that the Sith and other Dark Side force users appear evil, disfigured or enhanced by cybernetics.

Thats what I think
If Vader doesn’t force choke and kill her I’ll be disappointed tbh her character doesn’t make sense to me
Isn’t she in the new Star Wars game?
At this point it wouldn't make sense because Vader talked to Kenobi like he knew he was anakin
I see Reva revealing the reason for her anger to Obi Wan with the phrase, “a certain point of view”
This would explain why the GI says they 'found her in the gutter'
I feel she want's Kenobi as a way to gain favour and also to satisfy her own hatred.

What do you think of our theory?

I don't know about the idea that they look down on her because she became an inquisition after order 66. She has pretty much the same timeline as Trilla/2nd Sister and I don't recall anyone thinking less of her because of it.
It’s not unprecedented that Vader has a mole in the inner workings of the empire. I know it’s not a perfect fit but in the comics he hid his arrangement with Dr Aphra for his own personal gains
I had wondered pretty much from the beginning if she was actually already secretly reporting directly to Vader, which the third episode confirmed.

Because it was Obi-Wan Kenobi who changed the Temple’s beacon to stay away from Coruscant.
From Riva’s point of view, Kenobi abandoned the younglings, condemning them to living in the streets and gutters as beggars.

Instead it came off as her character being needlessly extra about it since she apparently wasn't close or had eyes on him???
thank you for your unbiased review of a great actor/character
My wild theory: She knows Anakin led the massacre of her friends as a child, but she didn’t learn about Anakin being Vader until recently. She wants revenge now, but can’t get close enough to Vader to try. That’s why she’s so passionate about finding Obi-Wan. Finding him and bringing him to Vader personally is the only way she can get close enough to the suspicious Vader to attempt her revenge. She’s not good, she’s not a spy…she is just so filled with hate that she will do anything to get to him.
I hope this theory is true.
Cheers!
My guy, you got something here.
Bet you're spot on.
I really enjoy the show dus far. Nice atmosphere and fanservice, can wait to see what's coming!
My guess is that if she saw Anakin killing Jedi as a Child and pieced together Vader is Anakin she blames him for Vader and her being turned into an Inquisitor.
If she knows then, why is she still alive? If Vader sense that she knew is true identity he would have killed her right their with no question ask.
@@aust-gaming2336 Obviously he does not know she knows because she is not on the list of people Vader can't kill.
That would be cool or even if she went after Vader herself in a rage initially after finding out but he used her anger and turned her instead.
Thank you....it's so refreshing to get analysis from a fan .....so much toxic information out there hating on the Reva character.
Some of these 'fan sites' make a lot of money by hating on anything disney does. Typical situation of where 'bad news' sells. Some of it can be legit issues but when i heard these sites ragging on the show already calling it the leia and reva show after only 2 episodes i laughed...its just too obvious at this point.
she is just really that bad though, its like they did it on purpose.
@@dAeveFellows I will agree her acting is terrible, but I just don't like people attacking the sista personally.
This all sounds really good, will wait and see :) enjoying the show !
Kinda hope she isn't redeemed. Not every ex-Jedi should be redeemed, it lowers the importance of not falling according to the Jedi. If everyone gets redeemed what is the fear of falling to the dark side?
If a Nazi general executed thousands of people, but also killed Hitler to save his son in The French Resistance, would you consider him redeemed?
She doesnt seem evil at all, completely fake. So my prediction is shes a mole and going to sacrifice herself to save Obi Wan or something. If shes gonna be the main baddy, this show is doomed cuz she really sucks.
@@panamajack5972 yes
@@panamajack5972 Ben Solo was somehow "redeemed." Vader was somehow "redeemed." According to Star Wars, it seems really easy to be "redeemed."
@@dAeveFellows she is actively trying to murder random people and a Jedi had to use the Force to prevent it, which exposed him. She is constantly threatening everyone. Kidnapped a child on the off chance that Obi Wan might find out and come save her. But she isn't evil?
I'm so glad you added the warriors clip because that's what I thought as soon as she said it
I think this show is great. It's great to see those that liked the pre-quals like me and this show gives us more of obi and I love that.
Do I hear a subtle Willhelm in that initial clip of the hand being cut off from Obi-wan?
Make no sense that Vader spared random youngling on his first mission after turning.
-Coughs- Starkiller -Coughs-................-Coughs- The Force Unleashed -Coughs-
@@Reaper2004 yeah right. Expirienced full fledge Vader after years. And Starkiller was extremely force sensitive. Taking random youngling still makes no sense. Some clone trooper on their way out like Lord Vader why you're sparing youngling?
Reva is never seen in Rebels. She dead by then. The only question is: who kills her? OB1 or GI?
This is Spart... Disney!!!
Be serious!
In this era of toxic wokeness, we cannot have a man be better than a girl!!
If anyone kills her it will be herself (like the Scarlet Witch was never in danger of being defeated by any man, she could only be defeated by a woman, herself) or Leia!
We've seen how the 10yo Leia is the only one who's able to get things done, right?
Thank you for making this video. Now maybe some of the "fans" can lay off of their disdain for Reva. She is awesome and the actress is doing a great job.
The tone of her voice when she said “I hope so” when the 5th brother mentioned getting what they deserve makes me think she is a double agent
The dark side ages users. Even in games.
She's a horrible villain.
Finally a descent breakdown!!! Nice Job Ryan!! Where is Doug?
I noticed how Reva an the fifth brother don't have sith eyes but the grand inquitor does. I also think the grand inquitor will kill Reva for her betrayal as she stabbed him maybe on or in fortress inquiries personally I think all the brothers an sister are talk an in walks the grand inquisitor looking at Reva an Reva looking at him as if to say I killed u then bam they Duel then he kills her but that's what I think an sorry about my spelling I hope u get what I mean tho.
Great points. Finally some thoughtful comments.
Very accurate and well said.
The way the camera focuses on Reva leans towards her turning around to rejoin the Jedi
Loved the office references and love the humor in this channel.
Her villainy is so over the top. It feels like her character is acting in a way a good guy thinks a bad would act.
Dressing up like the bad guy to get close to the bad guy is done a lot in SW. I hope this isn’t another one.
That's a great point. Maybe she is a mole for the Resistance
If she’s a mole. She should apologize to the woman she dismembered. I don’t think moles will go that far. But hey maybe that woman was also a mole with a prosthetic hands. 🤷🏻♂️
@@livederad6805 if the Mods from BoBF are around she could go get a snazzy cybernetic attachment.
I thought I was the only one. Shes cringy af
I think it's gonna be even worse, Reva likely saw Obi-Wan at the temple and blames him for not being able to stop order 66.
The only channel that's says Reva is cool character. I love it.
Didn't Reva see some holo tapes possibly from the jedi temple that obi wan may have seen showing that anakin was Vader? That's the only thought I have as to how she may have known the connection. She may have stumbled across them while doing research on obi wan.
The Inquistors have betrayed everything they ever believed in
Reva is great so far and I look forward to seeing what Obi-wan did (or didn’t do) to her to earn such apparent spite.
I get this feeling that somewhere along the way she'll be redeemed and will sacrifice herself to save Obi Wan.
I love the idea of her being Vader's apprentice. Having her be an Inquisitor would be the perfect cover.
@@Jay-ate-a-bug yeah i hope so. So far the show for me is betwin bad and okey. Episode 3 is the best so far. Maybe its gets better each episode.
@@martonk8858 trilla is one of the better star wars charactera
Bridge at 6:55 is same bridge at 6:47 where they find dead younglings and find out they were killed by a lightsaber. We'll probably see a flashback of the younglings from first episode crossing the bridge and getting merked either by anakin or by the grand inquisitor.
she knows anakin is vader because she met lord vader while he still looked like anakin when he attacked the temple.
I think she's playing a super long con & needs Obi Wan to get close to/take out Vader (possibly for nefarious reasons)
From the leaks it sounds different. They are just that, leaks, but the ones about EPs 1/2 were right. Only time will tell
@@arkangelgaming35 I'm sure you're right, but a girl can dream...
@@keziahrobinson I want her to be ambitious, I think there is potential.. buut.. this is Disney Star Wars..
i think its as simple as Reeva, when escaping the temple like we see in Part 1 with the younglings, just happens to see and recognise Anakin who is then referred to as Vader by the 501st or something
This video is very compelling. I'm convinced of most all of it.
The show so far is a 5.5/10. Reva is cartoonishly over playing her evil card and comes of more funny than scary.
Yeah the actress playing her is overacting. Comes off kinda corny. Same with the little girl playing Leia.
big problem in your theory : she's the 3rd sister
means she's the 3rd to join and therefor all of what you say after that makes no sense since the order was probably almost full during order66 unless not yet ...
