QOTD: There have been a few for me. For one, I randomly decided to double move an Unfezant for the Ultra League, even though it is ranked 632. I didn't even really use it. Also, I double moved a Ludicolo and spent a lot of charged TMs trying to give it weather ball until I realized that Ludicolo can't even learn weather ball.
QOTD: I double moved a shadow suicune for great league. As a free to play player, rare candies are extremely rare and important and putting 120+ into a pokemon that’s not even good was probably my worst investment lol
QOTD: Level 50, 100% Shadow Alakazam with counter and psychic. I knew it was bad but man I underestimated how BAD this Pokemon is. I can't even win against Dialga with counter because I die to dragon breaths.

QOTD: I'd say my worst investment was Shadow Amoonguss for GL. I mean, I raised that thing from a Foongus, and I even have it on my phone wallpaper with my bird, so it has time-appreciation. But Feint Attack and Astonish are such bad moves, that the shadow bonus goes down the drain since I can't even reach a single move. There is one move that it has in the main-line games that could make it actually good though: Rollout
QOTD: Back then my Cloyster was rank 1 for ultra league (lvl 40), but at most a week later, XL candy came to the game and it killed my boy, if it was garbage before, now became like rank +600
QOTD: For some reason I was convinced that Jirachi was going to be the second coming, and pretty much double-moved my hundo as fast as I could. That's 97 rare candy I'd really like to have back.
QOTD | It's not the worst but my GL Golduck was a big disappointment for me. It has a very nice defensive typing with only 2 weaknesses, it has a good and spicy moveset with Confusion, Liquidation and Cross Chop, but it did not live up to my expectations since it lacks the fire power or move coverage to gain any type of advantage for me.
My Ultra League Toucannon is pretty bad, but the XL busted dead stat shiny Haxorus I was using for Master League play way back was a REALLY poor investment.
QOTD: Oricorio. I wasted at least 15 charged TMs on it to try and get Revelation Dance (which admittedly would be crazy for a Community Day if it got a moveset buff) before I realized it only got Flying type charged moves
QOTD: Medicham. By the time I had enough XLs to build one, it was everywhere. I used it a few times but felt like such a basic bitch I’ll probably never use it again.

It takes way to long to charge, even with access to Shadow claw, and does not have much for bulk either.
QOTD: well I was saving up gligar candy last szn and in the last cup I built a GL Gliscor w EQ and night slash (used like 15 TMs). Then gligar is everywhere this szn and I don’t have the candy 😂. Finally finished my best buddy licki tho 🎉
QOTD: Level 34 shiny noibat for little jungle cup (I believe I powered it up from level 1). Thought it might be a cheat code as a flyer that resists electric and has wing attack. However, the stat product isn't there, and the charged moves have really poor dpe. So I dropped 450k dust on powering it up for nothing...
Some of the worst that I powered up and gave second move to are Ribombee, Jynx, Crabominable, and a hundo Gothitelle I powered up for ultra league that flat out stinks.
2 years ago I built a rank 7 shadow drapion for UL, it was over 600k dust and 300 something XL candies, and at the time it was so strong in the meta, unfortunately now it seems everytime I run it that it just leaves so much to be desired
QOTD: Probably Shadow Nidoqueen for UL. But luckily it got buffed again. So it‘s hard to say. I also maxed out some hundo first stage Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Geodude….

QOTD: Ultra league nidoqueen. I built it the day before it was revealed that nidoqueen would become useless. That was about 300k dust down the drain. A close second is XL umbreon. I know umbreon is really good, but I just don’t have the right pokemon to build a team around it making it pretty useless.
Oh Umbreon might be my most pointless actually. Built it because I needed to power up 3 Pokemon to level 50 & it was one of the only Pokemon I had enough XLs for. Literally haven't used it once 😂
Shadow registeel for sure. Worst 120 rare candies I ever spent. The lock-on damage basically doesn’t change, and it only flips 2 matchups the regular doesn’t. Could be better in Ultras, but I doubt it.

Also wasted millions in stardust leveling up a ton of useless low IV Pokémon to master league levels in the days prior to GBL. Mostly Gen 1 Pokémon back in 2016 when the game was first launched - Gyarados, Dragonite, and the Kanto Eeveelutions
