I was so afraid that I was the only one that considered CastleVein my favorite, so you can imagine my happiness when I saw two Hideous Masses and heard harpsichord once more :)
to think this bit was inspired by Hakita checking out what fans were doing with the beta mod tools, and being impressed by the use of Castle Vein to hype up a boss fight.
This encounter is my favourite in the game so far, just the callback to limbo as 2 hideous masses fall from the ceiling + the (what felt like) final showdown with swordsmachine really made this encounter feel like a great finale for act 2

The moment I realized this song was playing (after taking in that I had to fight _two_ Hideous Masses) I was like "Wait, it's THIS song!" and all the memories of dying to Hideous Mass back in 1-3 came flooding back. But this time I wasn't afraid.
i loved the part where the hideous masses said "it's hideous massin' time" and started hideous massing all over the place truly an exquisite piece of audio
That 6-1 final encounter is peak Ultrakill for me, only surpassed by the arenas in P2, you can see how good Hakita has gotten at making arenas in his game from the first levels compared to these ones. I'm insanely excited about the future of Ultrakill.
I hope in act 3 there will be 3 hideous masses, it would be the most funny and epic encounter in video games history, PREPARE THY SELF BECAUSE ACT III GODFIST SUICIDE IS NEAR!
