Jonathan Majors and Josh O'Connor...here for them! The Crown and Lovecraft Country were phenomenal. Jonathan Majors deserves an Emmy nomination as much as Josh, come on!

Low-key I'm so proud and happy because leading black men have genuinely dominated TV this year. This is deserved and long overdue.
I feel like Chris is quietly impressed with how level headed and wise these kids coming up are. Hope he realises that his success helped opened the door for them all.

ALL of them are very INTELLIGENT.. and the EYE CANDY IS A BONUS!!
Such a brilliant episode with a majority of beautiful black men. The chat was superb and I love that THR didn't make a big deal about it but carried on as though it's normal cos it should be and they're all extraordinarily talented. I smiled all through this and especially loved how they kept on the conversation and compliments even after the host left.
I love how Josh specifies that he’s republican in „British political sense” so American viewers don’t get any wrong ideas. :D

I’m listening and working while watching, and just did an entire double-take! Such a pleasure to see each of these dramatic actors, including Josh, but having the majority of the panelists from varied parts of the African diaspora is such a pleasant surprise! I always love these panel conversations every awards season. Thank you @The Hollywood Reporter for this conversation.

There needs to be films about black epics such as King Piye, King Taharqa, Queen Amanirenas, King Ergamenes, Mansa Musa I, King Ezana, Kalab of Axum, Sonni Ali, it would promote Afrofuturism and blow the box office like black panther.

Yes! It seems as if they’re really listening to and adding to ideas from each other. Each is in a pretty rarefied position, and they all need support from friends who understand their lives. I feel as if they’ll follow up after this round table and stay in touch.

Yes, and he would’ve been type cast and people would’ve found it difficult to see him in another role so am glad he’s doing other projects which hopefully will show different layers to him as an actor.

This is the best Hollywood Roundtable I've seen and I've watched a few. Better questions and deeper answers that made for a richer conversation. This deserves more views.
Loved that they were all so supportive and listening to their viewpoints on the different questions asked. Plus, my husband actually walked by and ended up watching the whole thing with me. He loves thoughtful, intelligent conversation as do I.
Its funny that three of the five actors are British.

Indeed, Lovecraft is the hardest to watch. Fargo also for different reasons .. Not sure why I haven' finished watching the Crown. Will force myself to watch All. I do think Industry Pros know exactly what they are doing...for sure and are Sooo genius that they know what roles to give up and coming Actors - they put an opposing part of them or their lives in each characters journey. Amazing!

This was such a wonderful, heart felt and powerful conversation between actors. I cannot get over how moved I was at the end of this hour long conversation. They are all so thoughtful and respectful of themselves, the work and the audience. Bravo, gentlemen, bravo!

@@afrogalp2102 They have only done one book so far and they followed it some but changed and added stuff too. I've read them all. Each book is a different story about a different sibling. Shondaland only had him sign a one year contract which he liked since it would make him free to do other things. She should have had him sign a 3 year contract but did not. They did try to get him to make some appearances but he turned them down. He is currently filming Dungeons and Dragons and finished filming The Gray Man last month. It is not out of the question that he can return for a later season. Four seasons have been greenlit. As of now he isn't in season two, the character will be mentioned though so perhaps he will return in a later season. You just never know.
When she asked about Harry and Megan it was like that awkward moment 🤣🤣.

So real, these young men are quite powerful in who they are already. Hostess brought together a fine group of actors with integrity and honesty, and she asked the questions that opened them up. Great discussion!

I think this year Netflix has brought on a bunch of new actors who are not only eye candy, but very talented in their craft... Thanks to this interview, now I'm interested in wanting to watch Lovecraft country, just to be introduced to Jonathan Majors acting skills. Never knew this actor or the show, but I'm glad the Hollywood reporters has introduce him to us....

If you want to see Jonathan Majors' acting skills, you should watch The Last Black Man in San Francisco. It's fantastic and he is the stand out in it.

He is introverted. His ex-wife said that he was very quiet at home and that he loved spending time with his daughters at home.
let us take a moment to talk about how Chris Rock expanded on her comments about feeling safe as a person of color when it comes to a script. 17:04 Cuz that was great and elegant and he will probably still get work after it.

By definition this isnt diverse at all! Almost the complete opposite.
Diverse means a RANGE of Different social and ethinic backgrounds. Diverse would be the addition of women, asians, latino that sorta thing ;)
5 men (4 black) is not diverse in the same way that a panel with 4 white men and 1 black man is not diverse.
Im a black Man btw. And im happy with the make up of the panel. I just hate how we define diverse these days.
