    The moderator did a great job! This is how you do a ROUNDTABLE. Everybody gets to answer one question. They milk it and they don’t jump from one question to another, interrupting the actor!

    • @joewillsart
      @joewillsart 2 ปีที่แล้ว +105

      Agreed, I watched a few of the others, and the moderator seemed RUDE and was constantly over talking the answer and switching focus and moving to other people before the answer was done. SUPER annoying. I loved this. Also, though the video and audio quality was no where near the previous interviews, which was disappointing, it was still really informative and entertaining.

    • @jaihohoho
      @jaihohoho 2 ปีที่แล้ว +85

      Yes! And you can see how the actors are so into the discussion and frequently say something like “going back to the previous question/topic” because the questions are thoughtful and coherent! Instead of rapid fire type of questions like some cheap tabloid lol
      I’m tired of questions like:
      1. How does it feel like playing this role
      2. How does if feel like working with ____
      3. How does it feel like being away from your kids
      Leave that to E! News lol

      @@kingme1931 Yeah! He's very off-putting and in some cases I can SEE the annoyance on the actor/guest's face when he cuts them off. Maybe I'm imagining it or projecting my own frustration onto the person but it seems like they are annoyed. I could be wrong.

      Couldn’t agree more, he brings such a unique and brill energy to all the characters he plays. His wisdom (especially now) in this industry is really inspiring to see and I think it definitely shows now in his more recent movies.
      For me watching Nicholas is like watching someone paint a beautiful picture. And not only that, someone who knows what they are doing, you could even say they have “mastered it.” And this instance I will go ahead and say Nicholas Cage has mastered it.
      All the way from national treasure to a film like Con Air, he really can do it all. You cant put this man in a box, and if you could he would find a way to make it his own. He’d probably paint it like each colour of a rubik’s cube or something totally awesome like that.
      I’m really glad he has won his oscar for Leaving Las Vegas in 96. To be honest i think he should have an oscar for every movie he’s done but we wouldn’t want the under dogs like leonardo dicaprio and matt damon to feel left out.
      I’ll say finally, if I was to ever meet nicholas cage I would bow down to him, and then he’d probably say something totally crazy cool like “stand to your feet, you are no lower than me.” Then I would give him a hug and tell him how much he means to me. Thanks Nick, we love you

And that they are each so thoughtfully & emotionally driven. Peter Dinklage often comes across as quietly insightful, but I wish he got to sit at a comedy table bc he was always so dryly hilarious around his GOT fam. Like that Simon Rex brings a different perspective than these lifelong actors & as a former interviewer that he gave a mini focus assist on that masculinity question. Nicolas brought so much energy to the table. I hope he'll make more films like Pig, he deserves to be in the public eye for his talent more often. And I want him to be on this roundtables, like, every year.

      Sure, if he has a film or a television series to promote and or speak on. The Hollywood Reporter - well, they are not just going to invite actors to their televized productions just because. These actors / actresses have to have something to sell and openly speak on.

    this was one of the best, if not, the best roundtable conversations thus far. the moderator did her thing in minimally guiding the conversations and asking very insightful questions when needed. and of course the actors did an amazing job in offering their opinions and experiences while connecting them to what each other said previously or afterwards. amazing job to everyone.

    I feel like Andrew laughing at Nic's horse story just cured my depression for a brief moment. Over the years, he's become so confident, not despite but because of the vulnerability he's allowing himself to present and even embrace in interview situations and such. That's really remarkable and inspiring to me. What a lovely human being
