These interviews are a million times better than listening to the absurd questions the journalists ask them during press events.
Talking to a peer is always more relaxing and natural. This and The Hollywood Reporter's Roundtable are my favorite peer to peer videos of Hollywood actors, actresses and directors.
@@cjtrules1 I love watching these interviews. As an aspiring actor and writer who’s still in high school, watching my favorite actors talk about their process and their passion for their work is very inspiring for me. I prefer watching these over any other interview.
@@michaeledgerton3508 They do seem to be one of the most genuine interview formats out there. I'd also recommend The Hollywood Report's TH-cam channel since it's a lot like this but with more people. They do have a moderator that asks questions but the woman is a lot better than the man because she asks better questions and let the people talk more.

i have airpods and prefer airpods to earbuds because there wireless the downside is they fall out of youre ear when youre laying down and you have to charge them of course!
I wouldn’t recommend them they are uncomfortable and tbh they don’t even sound that great

anya really is such a genius actor, she’s obviously worked with amazing directors who knew how to communicate with her well but it sounds like she doesn’t even have to be directed, she just GOES
Scott Frank said that she was actually improvised a lot. Fun fact. In her game against the young boy girev, when she walks up and down during the game, it was her choice. She just asked Frank if she could do it without telling the young actor in order to make it feel more real

Y'all talk about Anya's skill but have you seen Josh's range? They're both such terrific and promising young actors. I hope they have more projects together. They're kind of my favourite actors these days.

Watched the crown and queens gambit during the pandemic. I think both Josh and Anya are first-rate actors in their generation. Excellent performances.
Anya's accent is like an impressionist doing an English, Irish and American accent simultaneously 😂
If that's the case, then she is speaking "Canadian dainty", which is the Canadian version of posh English, which captured the best of all 3 said accents.

josh looks so genuine when he smiles. especially when he's staring through his lashes with his chin tilted down. like being complimented always gets him blindsided but still very grateful.

best episode of this year actors on actors. their chemistry is so good and not feel awkward or strange as other ones. i accidentally clicked on it and watch all 32 minutes in one sitting

i think it's cause they're actually friends and not just acquaintces like the rest (or not even acquaintances, some of them). that's why for example the episode from a few years ago with cate blanchett and ian mckellen is so good = cause they know each other. i think variety should try their best to always pair them up like this.
Josh seems so bubbly. He’s a great counterpart to Anya’s more serious demeanor

I love how Anya describes her passion for acting. It feels so deep and beautiful. On 17:30 she said that she had a hard time as a kid and in school. So she thought about that there has to be something for her. Something big that makes her life complete. And then she made her first movie. This made me cry because I feel exactly the same way now and I hope to archieve my dream someday. Anya is one of the best actresses and such a unique and inspiring human-being!

I can totally see Anya becoming a Tilda or a Gary Oldman with some more experience and films under her belt. Just an incredible chameleon actor already.

Yes! I was always curious about it because even though actors do talk about being an actor, they don't do it that profoundly and the topics Josh and Anya touched in here where exactly my doubts. This is great.
I love how people still talked about Claire Foy’s brilliant performance (with Vanessa Kirby & Matt Smith of course) in S1 & S2 when we’re in S3 & S4 and gearing up for S5.

They were fantastic in Emma, really nailed the Austen comedy of the carriage scene.
They really brought the story to life....I was getting how humorous it was and I didn't sense that with previous versions of the story.
They have really good chemistry together! Hopefully we can see them in the future together in another film!

Finished the entire interview. This is probably my favorite Actors on Actors. Love the conversation about them “inhabiting” the characters. Love how open this conversation is and I learned a lot.

She often mentions Gabriele Binder (costumes), Steven Meizler (DP), Scott Frank, Uli Hanisch (production designer), Daniel Parker (make up design) plus all the folks that come together and give their best at their craft to make a work of art that captures our hearts.
My goal is to be as feminine and Anya. She is a goddess!!
