My sister and I are working on the giant cards... and mailing them to each other so we can work on the opposite sides. We hopefully will get to keep a whole deck with both our work on either side.. I'm in Ontario, she's in New Brunswick.
Years ago I did an altered book this way. There was a group of us who would do a page or two, then mail the book on to the next person in line, and so on. At the end we all had a book that everyone had done some work in. It was fun.
I love this challenge and can't wait to start in on it. And how fun of the one gal here who is doing the cards with her sister! The ideas and choices are endless!!
I bought myself a deck of cards the other day (boy were those difficult to find without going on Amazon), and plan to do this. I used to make ATC's, and various mixed media, but have been artistically stagnant for quite a long time. This might get me back to doing something. It's not that I don't have the inspiration, it's just that I don't have the motivation. And that's just wrong. Artwork is a huge part of who I am.
I did a few of these cards a good while back when I was venturing back onto facebook and was looking for groups to join. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I am on the spectrum and have lots of sensory and social issues, and I was able to make cards expressing different elements of interests and emotions. Found you again in my TH-cam rabbit-hole binge-watching and now I'm inspired to do more cards and continue on this challenge to complete a deck. So awesome to see so many people on the Facebook page sharing their creations. This is indeed a unique and satisfying sensory project for me as I have used different textured collage materials.
A nice simple one to start off with, yay! I am so looking forward to doing these. I have a deck of cards just crying to be opened up LOL LOL. This one is so lovely. ☺♥
Ceri Griffiths, in one of his videos, sent me here. I have not yet jumped into mixed media, but I am enjoying looking at many different artists, who are just amazing. I look forward to watching the rest of your cards and, hopefully, I will get the courage to try myself. Thank you.
Ooo YAY, another project for me to try! LOL! Like I don't have enough projects I'm working on! Oh well. I haven't made altered playing cards in awhile, this should be fun!
Lovely, lovely, lovely! Beautiful...just found your channel...I am a subscriber. Love the colors and textures you have created. Thank you for sharing...
Wow! This is an amazing idea and I love the end result. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing. I am grateful to Purple Poppy for the link. I can't wait to see more of your creations.

Loved the video. Thank you. Great tips, especially using the watercolor pencil around the edges. Subscribed so I can follow the videos for the full deck!
What a fabulous idea, such a great way to get a little art into each day, I will absolutely be following this series, and may even decide to work along with you. Take Care Hugs and Smiles

Oh I am so happy you will create with me :-) this is a great way to start mixed media as you only have a small area to cover and lots of cards to experiment on. I am hoping to have my next video up soon, I am just finishing up a design team project. Happy crafting and welcome to my challenge 🤗
What a FUN challenge!!! LOVE how your first card turned out!!! Super excited to see what you do with the next once!!! Thank you for the inspiration! Nektaria
Hello I love this Idea, even if it's too late, i would like to do this challenge. i m a beginner so I think it will be very udefil for me to do it.. thank you very much for sharing. Could you tell me the measures of the cards? It seems that it isnt thé same than in France . Thank you very much for all that ,😍
Hello! I have been working on my full deck challenge and trying to do them in order. Is there a easy place to go to find them in order? I always have to search and search and still haven’t found #39. Thank you!
Gracias
I am such a literal, black & white person - so does this mean we copy the technique used on each card (1st card: tissue paper, stenciling, coloring, thread, image)? Or these are just what you are doing, these are ideas we can learn or do if want? I have zero creativity, so that's why I ask...
The challenge is pretty open and I don't have hard and fast rules. If you want, copy mine exactly, this will help with letting yourself try new techniques, or just use mine as an inspiration to create your own. If you are on facebook, I have started a group there for this challenge, just search Full Deck Challenge Group. Happy creating 😀💕
Awesome tutorial as always. Looking forward to the rest of the deck! TY!

What a great idea. What a lovely collection you will each have at the end. Very clever and special :-)
Years ago I did an altered book this way. There was a group of us who would do a page or two, then mail the book on to the next person in line, and so on. At the end we all had a book that everyone had done some work in. It was fun.
We finished... took a few years... my sister kept loosing them, then finding them again... lol... we've had a lot of fun doing them!
Such a fun idea!
I love this challenge and can't wait to start in on it. And how fun of the one gal here who is doing the cards with her sister! The ideas and choices are endless!!

What's the best side to pick beacuse I would kinda like to leave the face alone and just do the cover . 🤔
Hi, it is totally up to you, I chose the face of the card, as I sometimes like it to shine through but doing the back is also a good idea 💖
Love the stencil. Which one is it?
I don't have a brand or name, I got it as part of a second hand craft bundle ♥♥
What a FUN challenge!!! LOVE how your first card turned out!!! Super excited to see what you do with the next once!!!
Thank you for the inspiration!

Where do you get the printed butterflies?
Hi, this one is from Pinterest, just search ‘ printable butterflies’ 🦋
What was the Tim Holtz paste you used? I couldn't quite catch it.
Grit paste 🩷
Just finished making mine. I can’t post a pic in the comments sorry. It was quick and fun to do. See you soon
Oh well done you, I would love to see. Are you are Facebook or Instagram?
