Palestinian-American Waleed is a Muslim who is traveling around the world. We met each other through TH-cam
So far, he has visited 80 countries in two years.
Now, he is continuing his travels in Malaysia.
Together we explored Xinjiang Uyghur restaurants, Niujie Mosque, Niujie snacks and Halal hot pot in Beijing. It was a really fun and happy time.
I hope the world is peaceful and we can have more happy times like this.
*By the way, I made a mistake in the video. I said that the Hui people have a larger population than the Uighurs.
In fact, the Uyghur and Hui people have similar populations, both around 11 million.
My knowledge of this is still in elementary school. In fact, in 2000, the Hui population (10.58 million) was indeed larger than the Uyghur population (8.34 million). However, in 2020, the Uyghur population has reached 11.62 million and the Hui population is 11.37 million.

For a Muslim, the most important thing when visiting a new country is Halal food, because you can pray at your hotel room if you can't find a mosque, but you can't eat non-halal food.

If you go to non muslim countries there's still option such as eating vegetarian, fish, eggs, fruits, grains etc. Unless you're in a jungle full of wild boars I never heard of anywhere thats the only food source is pork.

真是太喜欢看你视频了，你的视频的视角不同于很“专业”的博主，就像视频中的这个Waleed一样，你就是我们正常人的视角，你会替我们说出我们的疑问而没有任何包装，就那种纯素人的感觉。而且你的视频对我一个非穆斯林来说，属于是像一个回族朋友带着我去看伊斯兰教的东西，这种文化体验在日常生活中还真不常见。
Waleed也是一个很有礼貌的人，他看起来就是那种“好哥们”长相，挺随和的。还是同样的，你带来这种很少体验的视角，去从侧面展现一个IG拥有10万粉丝的博主是如何工作，并且不加以编辑。
不过作为一个中国人，其实我也不咋会用筷子，小时候没学好。我不习惯用筷子吃米饭，然后用筷子夹比较滑溜溜的菜或者夹花生米我都夹不起来，就因为这个我不太喜欢吃面哈哈哈哈哈哈。
然后借着这个视频我想说一下关于犹太人，作为一个90后，我是从小就被教育我们曾经在二战中帮助过犹太人的历史的，并且被灌输过很多“犹太人是世界上最优秀的民族”之类的观念，曾经觉得犹太人确实如此，他们有着悲惨的过去，但是在现代社会他们似乎一片光明。我不知道你们那里是不是也是这样的。我带着这种滤镜活了二十多年，直到我2019年去了上海虹口区的犹太人难民纪念馆，那个纪念馆参观下来我的体验不是很好。尽管当时的何凤山顶着非常大的风险为犹太人发放签证把他们转移到上海避难，但是那些犹太人在上海却似乎并不知道感恩，他们只是把我们国家当成是暂时的歇脚处，并且还抱怨东方人的生活习惯，指责远东生活环境太差。后来二战结束后犹太人离开了，很多去了澳大利亚，只有极少数的犹太人还记得这个东方古国对他们的善意。我看到这些之后，我当时很疑惑，这个被宣传为世界上“最坚韧”的民族似乎不懂得感恩，这样的民族素质如此之差，难道他们的宗教就是这样教育他们的吗？在那个时候我对犹太人滤镜就碎了。
那之后我开始重新审视我对于犹太人曾经的一切所知，我开始去了解中东的历史，于是我知道了中东数次战争的始末，以及现在的以色列如何对待巴勒斯坦人。见证了“羔羊”如何摇身一变变成了“刽子手”。
哈哈哈哈，那必须的，日月当空嘛。就是生活里有点不方便，比如学校老是给我念“盟”，有一次银行也能给我字打错整得银行卡用不了。
对，我一开始做视频想的就是，伊斯兰在现在这个世界快成恐怖主义的代名词了，包括国内其实也有很多反穆情绪。我就想着拍拍视频让大家看看，我们都是一样的老百姓，不过是多了点信仰而已。当然这点我也理解，我的同族很多人的言行确实是比较。。。身处某个群体当中，不为该群体背锅是不可能滴。以前我在国外上学，有个中国同学半夜戴个面具去女生宿舍做些奇怪的事情，然后被遣返回国了，那段时间几乎所有外国人都嘲笑我们中国留学生，给我整麻了都，真是又气又无可奈何。
关于犹太人，其实我平时也不太关注这些事情，所以我的订阅者里好多人跟我提这场战争，我也不知道该说什么，就只能“希望世界和平”。但似乎现在局势已经发展到，如果说自己中立，那么以色列就会认为你支持巴勒斯坦，反之亦然。就不得不选边站了。
后来我看了国内的几个视频，感觉巴勒斯坦人被封锁了很多年，挺可怜的。但这两天又在youtube上看了一些华人说哈马斯是恐怖组织之类的，砍小娃娃的头，不能代表巴勒斯坦人民扒拉扒拉的。
哎，反正双方公说公有理，婆说婆有理吧，给我脑袋都整大了。想了想，管他呢，反正我也不认识以色列人，但有巴勒斯坦朋友，那照我现实生活里的处事方式，既然双方都有他的理由，那只能站朋友这边啦
@@oldwatchma 是的，群体总是要为个体买单，作为一个河南人不能再认同了，小时候上网就看到地域歧视帖子满天飞，什么“十亿人民九亿骗，河南人民是教练，总部设在驻马店”之类的。甚至都对我造成了潜移默化的影响，我大学在省内上的，上大学第一天有个同学是驻马店的，我居然下意识也开始担心他是骗子，然后我随即为这种先入为主感到羞愧。我的大学有好多新疆学生，穆斯林很多，在四年中我也见证了许多故事。有那些仗着自己少民身份比较端着的，也有跟我们一起讨伐这些端着的人的少民同学；我的一个维族好朋友在院学生会干了两年，很优秀的一个人，学生跟老师之间都有口皆碑的，大三去竞选学生会长了，当时我们有同学讨论也许学校不会考虑让少民学生当学生会长，但事实是我那个好朋友最后成功竞选上了学生会长，这些疑虑都被打消了。我当时很开心，我觉得学校做了对的事情，只看能力，不看身份。
对于巴以冲突，远在天边的我们终究是看客，作为普通人的我们更是由于信息来源的参差不齐，对整个事件终究是云里雾里。所以我们只能呼吁和平，剩下的只能交给国家。就好像那些家暴的家庭，邻居可以报警，警察也可以制止家暴，但是生活依旧是当事人的，最后要怎么做，是离婚还是继续过，都得看当事人自己怎么抉择。而国际争端比起来“家暴的家庭”更为复杂。只能庆幸我们生在和平的中国。😞
对，我想起来一些细节，以前我第一次来北京的时候打车和司机师傅聊天，他问我来自哪我大大方方地就说了，但是我问他的时候，就能感觉到他底气不足地说“河南”。那时候我就意识到，网络上这些不好的言论对他的现实生活造成了一定的影响，以致于他都没办法以一种自然平和的心态聊他的故乡。挺悲伤的是，我不能告诉他你应该为你的家乡自豪，因为我这样说了岂不是证明我确实听到过他的家乡一些负面的评价吗？我有很多河南的同学，说句老实话，全中国最朴实的同学都是来自河南，我跟他们的关系一直挺好，再加上我老家其实离河南较远，而地域黑一般是来自相邻省份的人的评价，尤其是可能一辈子都只生活在那片小天地的，在人云亦云中或是生活中确实遇到几个素质不高的河南人，然后加上周围言论的影响就给他们打上了标签，从而不可避免地出于狭隘而对河南有了刻板印象。但我其实是没有的，可那位司机由于生活经验可能盲猜我会有歧视，所以。。。😔说实话有一种同病相怜的感觉，因为这也会让我想到自己的穆斯林身份似乎也在面临同样的处境。。。@@lawruru9840
