Don't feel bad for the imam, even tho very few come to the mosque, he is doing the best of jobs in spreading dawah and inviting people to Islam, he may seem lonely but Allah is with him, like with all of us, even in the darkest of nights, may Allah give him the best place in jannah, Also, you are also spreading the message of Islam to foreigners, so therefore you are also doing good, so may you be rewarded for your efforts 🥰🥰
Mashallah, that imam's Quran recitation was so good although he is not arab! My skin moved at his recitation! May Allah keep him among us and put him in Janna!
This is the first step towards the journey of faith that to listen to the words of God with open mindedness May ALLAH Almighty guide you towards the straight path Aammeen
Assalamu alaikum, Thank you both for traveling around to learn more about the mosques in your area. I am an American convert to Islam living in Cambridge, UK. I have lived in the US, Japan, Singapore, India and the UK. One beautiful thing about Islam is that we can go to any country and meet our Muslim brothers and sisters there. Our community is everywhere in the world.
When the Imam told abt the level of faith where hereditary is the weakest I felt it really deeply in me. We born Muslim always take things for granted and never felt the need to seek knowledge abt Islam further. Where in reality staying in our comfort zone is the biggest enemy ever, making us complacent with our faiths and never make any progress. Thats why so many born Muslims give the most bad image abt Islam because our hearts are easily swayed by temptation and desire. We should be more steadfast with ourselves and our family and children. I am from Malaysia, and in my country there's a lot of Chinese reverts. And most of them became the best image of Islam, very pious and steadfast in their dakwah. I admire them so much. Even my Quranic teacher is a Chinese, and her knowledge and ability to read the Quran is very high level like a native Arabic reciter.
I have no words to explain my feelings watching Hui muslims in China, we are not like countries separated but one ummah in our hearts, and it must stand like this. Thank you Ma, you opened Hui muslims to me, next time in shaa Allah if I have a chance to visit, I will for sure come there.
Saya yakin dengan semangat & iman yang kuat, Insyaallah akan ramai lagi jemaah solat bersama Imam sehingga penuh ruang masjid..aamiin aamiin aamiin. Terima kasih Ma & Viona atas perkongsian yang berharga & semoga sentiasa didalam lindungan Allah..aamiin aamiin aamiin #lovefrommalaysia
Mashallah, this was a very needed discussion with the imam, it was nice to see him very accommodating and open about the struggles and life of Chinese Muslims.. we shouldn't reveal our sins, but I can say even tho I was born Muslim, I am educated in Islam from a young age and everyone around me are practising Muslims, I always have issue keeping up with my Salah, but I have never doubted Islam for a second, because I know deep in my heart it is the right religion. Alhamdulillah I am becoming a better Muslim each day and learning to keep up in my salahs and inshallah none of us fall astray. I think as Muslims we all make mistakes, but Islam as a religion is never wrong, may Allah keep us all on the right path and take us when he is most happy with us💛

The imam is soo knowledgeable ❤️❤️❤️ It is amazing how he gives Dawah. Because he is absolutely right. If you first start with all the obligations, people will get intimidated and turn their hearts away from Islam. But if you start with Allah and his mercy and his blessings, people will be more likely to listen about Islam. May Allah keep him steadfast and drive away his loneliness. He is doing an amazing job! I wonder where did he learn to read and recite the Quran so well? If no one really knows much about Islam around him? Maybe you can keep in touch with him if he has a phone? It felt to me as if he was really happy talking to you. Maybe he will be less lonely if you call him up every other week or so and talk about Islam and life?
In fact, there are many Islamic colleges in China where they all studied. But since the terrorist attacks, only adults are allowed to study in these colleges. I don't have his contact information, but I will go to that mosque again, because I want him to read the comments on this video.❤️❤️❤️
@@oldwatchma that is very sweet of you both that you support and give him good vibes. he is really adorable like you guys. i was born alevite, the mysticim of islam like the sufi. but it really touched my heart and brought me to tears how in all coulors and ethnics muslims support and love each other round the world. i always see sso much support, appreciation and joy from mulims under vids like this. the imam is a sweetheart. how he stands in his faith to allah even then he is lonely , he is not, bc he has allah with him and his muslim brothers and sisters around the world.
Assalamualaikum, I'm a Chinese Muslim from Malaysia. My late grandpa always reminds us not to follow the native Muslim people regarding on Islam teaching , unless if they have certificate or proven Islamic studies. most of them who inherited Islam from their parents do not know much & their ibadah also do not follow the right way... they just do it like how they want, not what being told by Islamic scholars. Islam knowledge is 'Nur' light, but you need to learn and practice them, then they will guide your way. without learning & istiqamah, Islam is just on the name.
Well said everything, We should seek the true Islam and reject the scholars & followers of saints who have been trying to reinvent the wheel and caused divisiveness among Muslims at family level first. The true Hadith from Ayesha, May Allah be pleased with her: she defined prophet as walking Quran. So we no choice but to follow Sunnah and as he said the first 3 generations. The true Islam is what the messenger of Allah actually walked, practiced or the truth & patience that the messenger of Allah exhorted in his revelation life to his companions, companions passed on to the next generation and the next generation, and this knowledge is preserved by scholars like Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmizi, Abu Hanifa, Malik, Shafi & Ahmed bin Humble. May Allah be pleased with them and may Allah shower blessing and Salam on the last prophet & messenger of Allah. The group practicing this belief is promised to be the only group out of the 72 or 73 that would enter paradise. The type of Islam practiced by many in the subcontinent the constitute sects different from the one that would enter paradise. Allah knows best, none of us, He is the judge on the day of judgement.
Mashallah bro, it was a totally unexpected vlog , what an amazing spiritual vlog , The Imam was so humble , so respectable , full of knowledge , full of spiritual conscience , this is how Islam makes people beautiful and perfect , I am sure that the heaven or paradise had been written for this honourable imam

As salam 3aleykoum from Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, West Africa MashaAllah this is a great video. I love the knowledge of the Imam about our religion. May God rewards you and your wife will goodness in this life and the next. ❤
Assalammualaikum from Malaysia. Jazakallah thankyou to both of you for making this video. I felt sad after watching it and pray that may Allah give hidayah to all the muslim in the world because if Allah doesnt give hidayah then you will remain the same. Im sad to see how empty the mosque is. Im greatful to Allah that i was born a muslim in a muslim country like Malaysia that have many previlige in learning islam and to become a better muslim. Yes i have to agree that not all muslims are good muslims , we all have our flaws but as a human, you are given a choice. What the Imam said is true, we are all being test from the day we are born and until the end of our life we are still being test. Today the world is becoming even a challenging place to live in for a normal person like us, what more for an Imam who have been given such a big responsibility to guide us. It is really testing our faith as a Muslim. May Allah protect us and guide us till the very end, insyaallah

Alhamdulilah my brother and my sister thanks you for your reaction about islam In China i hope Allah s.w.t give so many hidayah to all china man and woman to learning about islam and becoming a Muslim and muslimah Aamiin
I'm usually one to never leave comment but I felt so much relatability when you shared with the Imam about your experiences with other Muslims from different ethnicities and nationalities (eg. drinking alcohol, bid'ah etc). The Imam is super patient in answering all of your questions and extremely knowledgeable - May Allah azza wa jal protect and bless him with good health, Ameen! We need more people like him. It is rare to see such true honesty in these conversations. The struggle is real but the sweetness of our struggle in realizing our true identity as Muslim is totally worth it in the end, In Shaa' Allah.
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu to my Muslim brothers and sisters in China. May Allah protect, preserve, and bless all of you. Love from Malaysia.
Assalamualaikum. My husband and I really enjoy watching your videos and find it very enriching, especially when you are able to go and speak with Imaams. It also makes us very sad to see so many mosques in China are very close to being abandoned, and the imaan may have a sense of sorrow in his heart that the mosques may not be filled in his lifetime. InShallah, your videos will bring exposure and goodness to the muslim community in this area and many others. Jazakallah (thankyou) for your content. ❤❤❤
hi Salam to you and sister، and the people who are reading and listening and watching your video۔ thanks so much your efforts to make this video۔ I love and respect my Chinese Muslim sisters and brothers۔ Even my prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) mentioned good about China۔ I have lots of respect for the Imam of the mosque، you both visited۔ May Allah give him lots of knowledge and and wisdom about Islam۔ we need those people who makes the house of Allah to their home۔ I also admire his knowledge about وہاب wahabbies۔ This Imam is on right faith of Islam۔ which is la ilaha ill lalah۔ I guarantee you۔ May Allah show right path of Islam to all Muslims۔ parwez Ahmed۔ New York۔
MashaaAllah tabarakallah.. I salute the imam's resolve and dedication to da'wah. Despite being a little lonely, he holds on to his work steadfastly. Such an admirable person with a strong purpose in life. And once again thank you so much to both Viona and Ma for sharing with us a meaningful experience. Jazakumullahu khayran kathira.. Salaam from Malaysia.
السلام عليكم Towards the end, seeing the Imam walked solemnly behind the gate I can’t help feeling melancholy. Albeit the contents a bit lugubrious, lesson learnt here, never forget Allah and never vacate House of Allah.
Wow- I have been watching you guys vlogs from New Zealand:) it’s very nice to see how the Muslims are doing at that part of the world. You guys doing great enjoying the places 🙂 Alhamdulillah
Very good discussion with imaam...sunni sufi ini china...mawlid is good for us for our community as a muslim to commemorate our beloved Nabi ,..imaam is right person to learn Islam in deep value ...
Great video! I also thought there were no Muslims in Beijing. When u have time do talk to persons like the imam. He was right not to despair. U see when revelation was made to Muhammad pbuh, he was the only believer in his society but today there are billions and many more are returning to Islam. Let us hope for the better.
Ahong is so well spoken and know the stuff. As a muslim from non-arabic countries, I personally feel when I want to get closer to islam, there must be some people who said “why you want to go backward? Even many arabs theirself want liberty and western values now.” They believe only arabs who can be the best muslim. But islam is rahmatan lil alamin, it is for everyone not certain nations. My iman up and down for several times, I also got experience where my habit was far away from Islam especially when I got chance traveling and met another muslims. There was time when I got very friendly and helpful muslim friends but we had different believe in islam. When they were drink alcohol or go to bar, there was some conflict in my heart whether I should join or not. “If I decide to not join, will there is space in our friendship?” Or when I became guest or meeting my Professor, is it impolite if I refuse that? Shortly, I was following the majority and decide to drink in specific occasions. Some of my conservative society started to judge my decision without seeing my situation. Their response were so annoying and even affect my view on islam. But in the end, my believe in islam is my personal relation with me and god. Of course as a human there must be time when we doubt our iman, as hadist from at-Tirmidhi said ‘there is no human being except that his heart is between Two Fingers of the Fingers of Allah, so whomsoever He wills He makes steadfast, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.’ In the end, whatever your decision, hope Allah swt always guide all of us.
Yes, it is very annoying to be judged by others from the "high ground of belief". It seems that this is the same no matter which country you are in. And the saddest thing is that when we are criticized by others, we will use the same words that criticized us to criticize others. And then make more people uncomfortable. This makes many people seem that what Islam brings us is not beauty, peace, and knowledge, but all kinds of constraints.
Alhamdulillah. Thanks for the sharing video guys...may Allah SWT bless you, your wife and all the Muslim people in Chinese Country...Insya-Allah🤲🤲🤲😍🇲🇾💖🇨🇳
Outstanding video brother Yusuf Oldwatch. Love watching your stuff, its gotten better over time and you're showing us a world we never knew existed. My constructive criticism feedback is to make the videos a little bit more interactive such as show us on the map where you are and the name of the village/city you are in. For a geography nerd like me that would be nice, but even if you didn't do it I would still watch your videos. Gratefully, handsome bald Pakistani brother from UK.
hahahaha, the handsome bald Pakistani brother from UK,you made me laugh out loud. OK, thanks for the reminder, I'll keep that in mind next time. I thought I mentioned in the video that "Dachang" is 40KM away from Beijing, so there was no need to mark it on the map. . . But if I go to a place more than 1000KM away, I usually post the map of this place in the video. Thank you again for your support. The world needs more handsome bald guys. We can unite to resist this world where "handsome guys all have hair" is the mainstream concept. We will redefine what "handsome" is!
Mashaallah tabarakallah for documenting these different places. May Allah guide us and keep us steadfast upon the straight path. Aameen (watching from Kenya)

Assalamu Alaikum guys. Thanks for your nice videos. The contents are really nice and genuine. We, the people living in the West, know very little about the life of Chinese Muslims. Really appreciate your work. Please keep up the good work.

远在千里之外,不同的文化,不同的种族,但当伊玛目讲话时,我感到如此紧密的联系。这让我想起真主说的--“信徒只是兄弟情谊……” 四十九 : 十 (49 : 10) Thousands miles away, different culture, different race but when Imam spoken I feel so connected. It reminds me Allah says - " The believers are but one brotherhood... " - 49 : 10
That imam is a special person.. Thanks to your videos people saw him. He has great knowledge and his anti wahhabi stand is admirable.
Alhamdulilah, Thank you so much for this very interesting video.

Thank you Imam, Ma and Viona. It's one of the most interesting videos that you guys made. Looking forward to new Malaysian episodes 🫰
السلام عليكم
Towards the end, seeing the Imam walked solemnly behind the gate I can’t help feeling melancholy. Albeit the contents a bit lugubrious, lesson learnt here, never forget Allah and never vacate House of Allah.
I.m a Bangladesh Nationalist bat leaving Saudi Arabia my dream Uyghur visit Insaallha one day go China 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️
Salam and love from Ethiopia. I have met many Chinese workers here, who have also accustomed to Islam. Thanks for sharing.
Wow- I have been watching you guys vlogs from New Zealand:) it’s very nice to see how the Muslims are doing at that part of the world. You guys doing great enjoying the places 🙂 Alhamdulillah
Hope you're fine in new Zealand... After Christchurch I won't stay one more day in this country.
Mashallah. Good imam
Your videos completely changed my perception of muslims in China. Masyallah.
Beautiful couple. May Allah protect you both from evil eyes.❤
When you feel the Love of Allah you don’t feel lonely :)
Salaam ❤️
thank you for showing us more about Chinese Muslims
The iman is doing a great job.
Love from India.
MasyaAllah walhamdulillah aku bahagia lihat kalian dicina , saudaraku makin banyak disana , BarakAllah fikum Ya Allah Ya Rohmanirrohim, Sholu ala NabiAllah HabibbAllah waRasulAllah Muhammad SAW,aamiin

Masha Allah.
This Imam is so well educated about Islam.
I just like the vibe and the atmosphere of the Muslim neighbourhood, so peacefull, harmonious and kind, keep up the great work my brah......
远在千里之外,不同的文化,不同的种族,但当伊玛目讲话时,我感到如此紧密的联系。这让我想起真主说的--“信徒只是兄弟情谊……” 四十九 : 十 (49 : 10)
Thousands miles away, different culture, different race but when Imam spoken I feel so connected. It reminds me Allah says - " The believers are but one brotherhood... " - 49 : 10
Man wow this Imam is so wise all his words are powerful and provoking. May Allah let Islam grow in his community
🤲♥️🤲MASYA ALLAH alhamdulillah ya robb 🇲🇨♥️🇨🇳♥️🇷🇺✊✊✊

That imam is a special person.. Thanks to your videos people saw him. He has great knowledge and his anti wahhabi stand is admirable. He is a real ahli Sunnah İmam in a country where Islam and Muslims are a Minority. May Allah grant strength to the Muslims in China. Respect to you brother for your videos. Thanks to you I see China differently now, didn't even know about these Muslim Communities in China.

saya terharu sekali.. maksaih infonnya kak.❤
From my personal experience, sometimes imam in a small mosque in a small village has more wisdom and knowledge to share, so you won't stop when you were talking with them
You are doing good work. I am from India 🇮🇳
Thank you for the incredible work you're doing on your TH-cam channel my brother and sister. Shedding light on the Chinese Muslim community and providing insights into a world we rarely hear about. Wishing you the best of luck in reaching even more people and showcasing the beauty of Chinese Islamic culture.
