This is an amazing video of wordless comics. Speaking of this, i wish you would do a video about one of the GREATEST wordless comics that i have read this year: STUM BY YANN TAILLEFER
The Grip colors are amazing. The line work makes me feel queasy somehow. Some wordless comics walk the line between art books and comics. Floating World Comics (which I think of as the Earl Grey store) is filled with beautiful but oh so expensive books that seem to reflect on point artistic visions but only tangentially related to narrative.
A brilliant recommendation Monsieur; my 12 year old scooped up Lale Westvind for my Birthday, - 2 dimensional fantastic plastic, so good! A request... please could you do some more 2000ad panellogies for us earthlets, we are working our way through progs 200 - 300 currently, it's a big stack! And a couple of recommendations for you - Jasper Jubenvil 's 'Dynamite Diva' and Lee Hardcastle's claymation 'Simpson's Couch Gags'. ( I trust you have got your hands on Image's Outer Darkness by now!) Later Alligator!
That first comic seems like the the kind of fever dream Jodo and Moebius would have had after consuming one too many bubblegum while on weed. I was really hoping that 60s-70s are style had died already. And the garish bubblegum colors don't help either. As for the Frédéric Coché one... honestly, I'd feel cheated if I bought something with that cover and that's the quality of the art within. I'd really, really feel cheated.
@@earlgrey862 oh, don't be silly. Now if these were ballots for today's election you would be right, but when compared to politicians these books are tame.
even if it would make any sense to compare silent comics to politicians it would be still not very helpful to bash all politicians in general ... and it would be quite silly - there is at least a good amount of people worth voting for, at least over here and in my opinion.
A really eloquent review. Thanks for bringing such wonderful works of art to my attention

Floating world is actually both: the örl-store and a source of constant frustration because a lot, a lot! of their books are not available over here.

...die französischen hab ich dank dir schon. Lale ist geordert und Frans Masareel ist auch bald vollständig....armes, sehr armes Portemonnaie. ....😅

I'm glad that I could show you some stuff that you can dislike from the bottom of your heart. Cheers, mate 😎
