Squidmar, just wanted to say you reignited a passion for mini painting that had been dormant since 1988. I love your paint jobs, techniques and especially you calm, kind demeanor. And your humor too!
I think the last couple years has really seen an all around renaissance in tabletop creativity. Painting, crafting, designing, story-telling... I have always been jealous of not living in this time-period, or that... But I am happy to live in this one, now.
Wow, you knocked that Morathi out of the park! Can't wait to reveal it to my D&D group as a big bad evil gal :) Thanks so much for offering the service - this is an epic job!
It's really interesting to see painting stripped down to only what's necessary. It's so easy to get hung up on the details, but contrast and colour are key. Also, shout out to the person using Morathi for D&D, you're my hero!
That nighttime/moon light guilleman looks really awesome i think i will steal this idea if i start collecting one of the stealth legions, Alpha, Raven Guard or Nightlords :)
Your painting style is unreal. I have and im tipping alot of the fans here have learnt so much from your videos. Thankyou for your passion and love for the hobby. Peace and love from Australia
Just wow, thank you so much for accepting the mumak! I love what you did with it! It would also be great to see you paint more middleearth minis on this awesome channel.
I see you've reached the stage where you've discovered explosion effects while editing. This is a sign of a major breakthrough in the channel soon, exciting!
Guillimen looks fantastic. Now I want a whole army like that. *Night Fighting* makes me think of Mad Max Fury Road night scenes and how I always pictured some parts of Dune
Would’ve loved to see dedicated videos of painting each of these minis to educate us all on the techniques you both used to get so much quality in such a short period of time.
I'm floored by how great these look with so little time. And I'm not sure what it is but theres a velvety glow to everything that I love but can't describe any other way
Dude you guys are off the hook!!! I was redirected here from Reddit for you’re guilliman. I started mine last night and it took me 5 1/2 hours to paint a single leg!!
I really like these kind of videos, are you are showing a variety of styles, inspirations, color palett, that's really inspiring or giving guidelines (both things I would like not to do and ideas to "steal from"). That was quite a show anyway, but very fun to watch. Congrats to the team!
I was trying to get my love for the painting side of the hobby back and recently discovered your channel. I really enjoy your content, you have reinvigorated my love for painting!
Wow! It's always amazing how fast you guys can get a very insane result. I would love to watch more content that shows how you paint, e.g. go through the decision making what to focus on when you only want to spent 1 or 2 hours on a model, the technics you use and so on.
It would be cool to see a more in depth breakdown on how you guys actually paint a model of this quality within such a short timeframe. Your thought process and so on, esp on something like on of those larger models.
Great video, great paint jobs, incredible for the time limits you've set yourselves even when you're a little over that limit. Would be great to see some more videos from Lucas, about his approach to painting, tips and tricks, things that he did to improve his painting, and become more efficient. I Emil has done videos covering this, but I think it would be cool to see the perspective and journey from another incredible mini painter. Love your videos, keep it up guys!
You and Lukas need to paint more in this heads up side by side fashion. I don't know what it is about the painting hangout sessions but you both seem to feed off one another in terms of creativity. I think these pieces have been some of your most impressive pieces. I am blown away by the quality of your work in the very short time crunch. Emil if you happen to see this I would love to know your method of painting the blackstone/monoliths on the Silent King model, please and thanks!
The people that took advantage of this were really smart. Even if the paint jobs aren't Squidmar's peak quality they're still excellent--totally worth buying a big model (and sending it in?) to get that deal! It makes me wish it would happen again. Ah well. Excellent work, and congrats to the buyers!
How it's possible to have this much detail in 1 hour? I know that airbrush speeds things up but is there any time to build highlights or glazing or wash to dry? Stippling highlights on gold trim would probably took me at least an hour. Do you use some hobby cheats to speed this up?
Lucas is a fucking monster. I mean, you both are amazing at achieving great looking miniatures in a crazy small amount of time, but Lucas MUST be using magic of some sort. What this guy manages to do in a couple hours is unnnnnreal!
Arghlsnghhhh! So intimidating! I'm just about to start my Space Wolves Army and I'm not sure about wether i can just closely reproduce the awesomeness shown on these minis. I'll do my very best!

What is the name of the black square light that Lucas is using while you’re painting a snake lady

Thats so awesome peter, welcome back :D
It's great to be back! Will be forever grateful.

Man, that OSL on Guillman is freaking amazing.
Agreed - best model there IMO
I would love to see Lucas do a tutorial on how he painted that night scene style on Guilliman!
Emil did one on object source lighting covering the same stuff :D
My jaw dropped when I saw it, actually super badass and unique
Wow, you knocked that Morathi out of the park! Can't wait to reveal it to my D&D group as a big bad evil gal :)

Your painting style is unreal. I have and im tipping alot of the fans here have learnt so much from your videos. Thankyou for your passion and love for the hobby. Peace and love from Australia
I’d be very interested to see the techniques on the Guilliman concept.
I did a video on object source lighting, very much the same :)

Lukas, bruh. So good. All of em. Your detail work is amazing.
Epic job lads!

Lucas is the champion. You guys are both champions!
I love this series, not because of the painting or the challenge, but because it’s two friends hanging out (:

You Guys are amazing painters! This was very inspiring!

Awesome take on Guilliman!
Congrats on a very specific eBay sale this week squidmar. That's some next level crazy.
The people that took advantage of this were really smart. Guilliman front painting reminds a lot of Night Lords color scheme. 😁😁 However, its absolutely impressive... A reference to give for osl. 🤘🏼
the 2 hours models are insanely good
Those were dope man, WOW 😳
Perhaps do a Goobertown Roulette collab with Goobertown hobbies whereby you both FINALLY give Middle Earth SBG some love.
That Guillimen tho, great job you guys, these look fantastic!
I really want to paint an army looking like that Guilliman, gonna need to find out how to do so
Check out the video on object source lighting from a while back :)
You're an amazing inspiration to me. I'm going on 2 years of painting now

00:23 the mawkrusha is painted with contrast paint over zenithal highlight if I remember correct? Whats the paint used?
Surely five of these videos would be the best point to stop. Due to it being fiverr. Incredible stuff as usual!
you are probably right ;) but it is what it is
Lucas is a fucking monster. I mean, you both are amazing at achieving great looking miniatures in a crazy small amount of time, but Lucas MUST be using magic of some sort. What this guy manages to do in a couple hours is unnnnnreal!
Hey not so loud or the ministry of magic might intervene... :o
@@Lukas_squidsquad shit, sorry man...
Just joking guys, Lukas can't be doing magic, because magic doesn't exist.
;O
realy like light effect on guillilman . Good job
The Guilliman and Morathi are amazing.
Arghlsnghhhh! So intimidating! I'm just about to start my Space Wolves Army and I'm not sure about wether i can just closely reproduce the awesomeness shown on these minis. I'll do my very best!
imagine having a back log when you can paint like that in two hours.
I love that guiliman in night style armor.
Just inspiring, I think that night/inshadow guilemon is interesting it is definitely cool.
Great episide like allways!
That Guilliman scheme is pretty awesome!
Thanks :D
It always blows my mind that your 1 hour paint jobs look better than my 7 - 8 hour paint jobs
Meanwhile, it's taking me like a week to assemble and paint my warmaster titan.
You guys paint better than I can in triple the time
Must keep this series going
what light is the flat panel LED?
I love how you got Harry Potter into the hobby. :P Keep doing what you're doing, mate. We love the videos. :D
