I am very happy to see this ship harshvardhan once I visited this beautiful ship in Bombay when my dad was chef on this passenger vessel i was also lost on this ship and they found me in engine room i still remember those memories of this ship.
For many people it was just a ship. Harsha Vardhana was a legend in this company. My father served as an officer on her for 5 years. Even I sailed on her. Last saw it in Port Blair in 2018 waiting to be scrapped. My father who was a part of her last major overhaul in China was in tears. This ship is an emotion for us. Rest in peace. You will be remembered forever for your service. Jai Hind.
I traveled on this ship at the age of 7 in 1985 from port Blair to Kolkata, I spent my 2 years in Campbell bay, I still have memories of Harshvardhan's Delux cabin and deck, dining hall...watched movie at deck on projector....
My Father used to work in SCI and was posted at Port Blair for 5 yrs. That time Andaman was our fav holiday spot (All expenses paid by the company). I never liked MV Harshavardhana but I preferred Nicobar more for trips to Andaman
Thanks for giving lot of useful information in the description. Is the food part of the ticket or we need to buy the food seperately? Also now which ship is going to replace MV Harshavardhan?
