Australia is too big so they just consider it a continent. If you don't draw a boundary somewhere then all continents are islands. Normally, continents have their own techtonic plates, but that's not necessary.
And each island is home to unique plants and animals. Elephants, tigers, birds of paradise, tree kangaroos, orangutangs, saltwater crocodiles, stinking corpse lilies, the highest diversity of corals, pangolins, rhinos, and so much that hasn't even been documented. Too bad it's being destroyed beyond repair, almost too fast to do anything about it. With the move of the capital to Borneo, those forests will fall at an even faster rate (stupid palm oil plantations are replacing some of the oldest, and second largest rain forest on Earth, after the Amazon). By 2050, the country will be a shell of its former self, ecologically speaking. We'll see if the economy can even keep up, but it's unlikely. Desperate times, and people are not even aware of it.

And the characters are able to traverse between the inner and outer walls in short period of time on horse back. Some ideas: * Compare some US states, Canadian provinces and Australian states with some European countries. * Show how big countries would look if they were on the Moon. * Compare the sizes of every crewed spacecraft (there are not so many of them). * Compare the sizes of airports. * Compare the sizes of human organs. * Compare the sizes of eyes from different species.

Yeah I had the same thoughts with Tasmania, within Tas we also have Bruny, Maria, Flinders and King islands which are all bigger then some of the ones on the list but not included in it's size
Graphics and music are awesome as ever. Was a little disappointed that you didn't throw in Bermuda, Nantucket or Catalina for the smaller well known islands before jumping to Manhatten.
@@classicicemc2848 My dad was in the Pacific during WW2. Starting in Australia, they did what was called 'island hopping', pretty much hopping, from one tiny island to the next. Many where nothing more than atolls, but others were graced with names like Puvuvu and Little Moko, and such. As far as Bali goes, I'm not sure if it's bigger than Manhattan, but Rodgers and Hammerstein tell me it's a lovely island. 😉

I enjoyed the video, but it would have been cool to have more small islands in between the first two, and I think you could have had more of them in their real locations, like if you circled around the West Indies so that Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Jamaica could be in place. I love that you ended with Greenland! I know they're continental landmasses and technically not islands, but it could have been fun to show Australia, Antarctica, South America, North America, Africa, and Eurasia on this list, just for comparison! Maybe someday you could do a video comparing all the continents/landmasses that have ever existed, all the way up to Pangaea.

I think the video would have been too long and too hard to make if he included every island. Ngl, I was kind of disappointed to not see Shikoku and Kyushu in there but there's only so much he can do. He put Hokkaido and Honshu in there though so at least that's good.

And the characters are able to traverse between the inner and outer walls in short period of time on horse back. Yeah I had the same thoughts with Tasmania, within Tas we also have Bruny, Maria, Flinders and King islands which are all bigger then some of the ones on the list but not included in it's size

My dad was in the Pacific during WW2. Starting in Australia, they did what was called 'island hopping', pretty much hopping, from one tiny island to the next.
Many where nothing more than atolls, but others were graced with names like Puvuvu and Little Moko, and such.
As far as Bali goes, I'm not sure if it's bigger than Manhattan, but Rodgers and Hammerstein tell me it's a lovely island. 😉

I enjoyed the video, but it would have been cool to have more small islands in between the first two, and I think you could have had more of them in their real locations, like if you circled around the West Indies so that Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Jamaica could be in place. I love that you ended with Greenland!
I know they're continental landmasses and technically not islands, but it could have been fun to show Australia, Antarctica, South America, North America, Africa, and Eurasia on this list, just for comparison!
Maybe someday you could do a video comparing all the continents/landmasses that have ever existed, all the way up to Pangaea.

I think the video would have been too long and too hard to make if he included every island. Ngl, I was kind of disappointed to not see Shikoku and Kyushu in there but there's only so much he can do. He put Hokkaido and Honshu in there though so at least that's good.
