    me casually waiting for them to give the tanks/mele an updated 1/2/3 animation. :) pressing the same basic buttons for so many years is getting real old.

      I would prefer no combo for most jobs and having more of a prio list of cool looking abilities that have short cooldown times instead

      Warrior used to be so Fun had 3 Choices to end your End Combo 12 Ending is either one we have now that heals or Butchers Block that does alot of damage and looks amazing to use or 1 into alternate 2 that gave personal damage buff into a dot felt so engaging till they removed butchers block and dumbed it down

    I have a huge wishlist for DRK changes.
    First off, TBN really needs an update. The free Edge is nice, but only if the shield breaks, which feels pretty bad in the current gameplay environment. Some DRK experts are saying you actually have to use a TBN in your odd minute burst and hold the Dark Arts until 2 minutes in order to consistently get 5 edges under buff windows. Also, DRK still doesn't have much sustain even with Shadowed Vigil. So this is what I want:
    1) Remove TBN's MP cost and give it the same paragraph of text treatment that the other tanks got on their short cooldowns. Keep the shield, but add an additional healing effect, something like every point of damage absorbed by the shield gets converted directly into to HP. Then add a small 4 second, 15% damage mit to continue to encourage timing it. Move Dark Arts to Delirium and make it buff the free Edge of Shadow.
    2) Update Carve and Spit/Abyssal Drain. Shorten the CD on them both to 40 seconds and give them both a charge. Equalize them so that CnS heals you on top of giving MP.
    3) Buff the Scarlet Delirium-Comeuppance-Torcleaver combo. First, up the potency on all the skills. Right now they're 600-700-800 while the upgraded Bloodspiller is 580 potency. These are higher than the 500 potency that Bloodspiller was, but despite that, it really feels like the combo doesn't hit level 100 bosses as hard as the 500 potency Bloodspiller does on level 90 bosses. Second, double the amount of MP the Torcleaver combo skills give from 200 to 400. That way, Delirium gives as much MP as Bloodweapon did in Endwalker: 3k, aka one Edge of Shadow/TBN. Right now, each skill gives 200 MP on top of the 600 from the 3 Blood Weapon stacks, which equates to only 2400 MP every minute.

      @@lp1spiritguidance577 my issue is that both DRK and GNB's gapclosers were an important part of their rotation and thematically made way more sense considering the aggressive nature of those jobs.

      @@fredm1364 Yeah also it could give some needed extra buttons to press. Espacially in lower synced content. I would love to have 2 charges of another damage abilty instead of just 1-2-3 all the time with an occational Edge of shadow.

    How does Living Shadow interact with raid buffs? Does it need to be summoned after buffs to snapshot the buff increases? Does it dynamically update? Does it need to be summoned before hand to get the buffs, like a player? This has always confused me. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying the simplified version of DRK. I think it still need some potency buffs to it's basic combo (basically give it some extra damage outside of it's burst window, so it's not so spikey, which also makes it easier to balance), and I think the mana system for it is outdated. I would have liked to see TBN get combined with Oblation, be moved to a 25 second CD to match the other tanks and cost no mana but also not give Dark Arts on break anymore. BUT, if they did that, then all you have is your damage buff to spend mana, which isn't interesting and doesn't really need management, so the whole system would need to be redesigned at that point.
    Would love to see some kind of modernization of that last bit, but otherwise, really liking DRK at 100. Still suffering below 70 though.

    Is it not a gain to pre pop delirium to do the normal 1-2-3. Get 50 blood and then do the new torcleaver combo? The opener you showed only gets 30 blood and you 1-2-3 anyway.

      yea not a gain. doing that might also misalign the delirium combo from the party raid buff

    The issue with sustain in dungeons could be an easy fix. Just make abyssal drain a spell with a cast time. And maybe when after you used Stalwart sould it will become an instand cast. Making you heal every 3 Gcds. Either that or make salted earth a lower cooldown and make you get a decently potent regen if you stand in the area. It does not need much but i notice that i am super squishy as Dark knight for some reason. While the other tanks i have no issues what so ever staying alive.

    i think something many youtubers miss, is how to tank situationally, and more in darkknight situation as this job has virtually no good hp regen compared to other thank jobs, new players will use a good example on a dungeon on how to use darknight abilities properly

      Honestly there's no better way to learn tanking than to go in the instance yourself and get used with timing and mechanics.

    Really wished for them to replace salted trash completely with something else more useful and have carve and spit not share cooldown with the aoe version like in ShB but oh well.

      i still dont know why salted earth is 90s when it should be 60s but i dont judge them much since flamethrower still in the game

    Drk could have kept what it had before, gave is the delirium combo and shadowed vigil, with the bloodless esteem. And it still would have been miles better than what they done in DT to it.

    I feel like the changes they gave it in DT were overall good but it still just doesn't feel like enough.
    Like the new Delirium combo is cool, has nice impact, and does good damage, but it's an overall loss of MP now so it was kind of a nerf, and with how it's still trailing WAR in damage it clearly didn't need it's dps cut even that little bit. Vigil is also a good step in the right direction, what with giving DRK some form of healing so it isn't entirely reliant on healers in even casual content, but it's still nowhere near good enough and I'm still left wondering why they don't just give PvE SE/SnD the same effects as the PvP versions, it would honestly fix it's sustain issues and make those skills feel less worthless.
    But also TBN is still annoyingly outdated. I GET IT, it's the last remnant of an old kit many miss so they're scared of it changing too much, and yes I know it's a massive shield on a short CD (a shorter CD that rarely matters compared to the other tanks short CD mits, let's be real), but the fact that it not only eats your damage if not broken but also does nothing else is just so behind the times now. All three other tanks have short CD mits that do a ton of stuff, DRK just gets a big shield then can refund their damage if used right, that's it, it got fucking Oblation instead....
    My biggest issue with DRK though is how bland the MP usage is. "Dump it all on the same ability for burst windows and save some for your "special mit" so you can actually make use of it." I think VPR is actually a good example of what they should do for MP usage instead, provide three different buffs/debuffs to upkeep with three different MP spenders, keep Edge as it is with the 10% damage increase, but give one with a passive MP regen for a less boring downtime and more active oGCD usage on MP abilities, and then give a third that actually applies a DoT, all three stack on themselves once to a max of double base duration and suddenly the DRK actually has an interesting MP usage pattern that provides it more uptime. And considering it's supposed to be the "offensive tank" yet can't even match WAR still much less GNB I don't think they'd have to worry about the dps increase from including such abilities.
    I'd also personally like to see something added to Oblation, I get people don't want it just removed or added to TBN cause it's "versatile," but if it also provided a cure potency or even just a HoT it would become an actually useful ability that you notice using. It just needs SOMETHING, 10% mit that stacks like shit isn't enough, imho.
    I don't play PLD so can't comment on it's state, but with how good WAR and GNB feel, how their kits work so well within themselves and the inbuilt synergies, I just can't justify playing DRK and having to deal with that jank for lower damage and worse defense. Removing Esteem from the Blood Well was good QoL, but man does it still need so much more to put it on par with the other tanks....

      Maybe oblation should also give you a regen or maybe even life-steal on GCD hits or something. It does not need to be as potent as bloodwhetting but atleast something to make dungeons less miserable. PLD has some old actions and skills that is kind of useless also. But atleast Paladin has sustain and great damage negation. And a great and cool combo that you acually use pretty often with the Imperator into the sword combo. And between that you got the new Atonement 1-2-3 combo to mix it up abit making it feel alitte more fun. Also i just think Holy Sheltron is a superior ability to TBN Since you use Gauge for it and it acually give you a regen. You can use it alot. No downsides like not having TBN break.
